Ramiel went to the metal veins and thought of ways how he'll unearth them. "Aha! These metals have insanely high melting points. I know what I'll do now."
He had a great idea and started bombing the veins like a mad man. Pulverizing the large rocks into smaller pieces. He continued with his little chore for a bit and had tons of dust and pebbles.
"Woah, Lazard wasn't kidding. There's tons of them over here!" Ramiel was excited as he saw the various valuable metals shimmering. Because of their strength, chunks of them didn't really fragment and he could pick the pieces up easily.
But he took it a step further and bunched them up again. Exposing them to superheated flames, the rocks liquefied immediately and he spread it on a flat plain. Separating the metals from that was merged with them.
He began picking them up with his telekinesis and cleaned his shinies with strong compressed air. "Kukuku, just with a couple of tons of rock. I am already gathering lots of material. Farming is so easy."
Ramiel continued the process a couple of times and emitted pulses of Mako from time to time. The metals he was mining were very receptive to Mako. And like a sonar, he was able to know if there were any metals left in the veins.
"I guess it's time for the next one." Ramiel was satisfied with the amount of time he used. Clearing out a vein in just under an hour. Getting a couple tons of Adamantine, Orichalum, and Mithril.
Adamantine will be the majority of the ship, making it nigh unbreakable by normal means. The cannons will be a mix of Orichalum and Adamantine. Giving it a good chunk of physical and magic resistance.
Mithril will come in to play later, when they test the cannons extensively and transform it into a railgun that can send out multiple ton ammo, travelling dozens of kilometers per second. "Mithril is the most receptive to Mako, this can be a good amplifier for spells. Railguns need tons of electricity after all."
He cleared out all the veins that Shinra was able to find for the whole day. "Heh, Shinra won't know what happened here. I'll be taking all of these for my collection." Ramiel looked at his storage and was satisfied on how much he was able to get.
"Okay, I'll go back now. The engineers in Wutai will have a field day with what we'll be doing." Ramiel already brainwashed the workers there. So they won't be giving any reports back to Shinra. And he'll have free labor as well.
"Hmm, Shinra will have a pretty good surprise when they see this baby." He could already imagine the look on their faces. Seeing a massive battleship that's flying in the skies of Midgar.
He also didn't forget to get some hair products for Alexandra so she won't complain to him later. "I don't know why they love this crap so much. 2 in 1 shampoos works fine." Ramiel looked at the expensive products and he was still baffled on why they care about their hair too much. It wasn't even bad in the first place.

At the slums of Midgar, one Vincent Valentine was roaming around. Trying to get as much information about Shinra as possible. "Hmm, in the decade that I was asleep. Many things must have changed, though the slums are still the same. Accursed Shinra, they'll get what's coming to them later."
Vincent then heard a conversation, it was hushed and quiet. And something they said got him interested. They are apparently members of an organization called Avalanche. And the organization wants to take down Shinra in order to save the planet. Because if they continued using Mako as the main power source of the planet, then the world will inevitably die.
"Interesting, it seems that I will be able to get a better lead with these people." Vincent took out his tri-barreled pistol, Cerberus. Being an ex-Turk, he was able to sneak up on them easily. Not to mention that he is basically a SOLDIER now as well. Even stronger than normal ones, being augmented with both Chaos and Jenova cells.
He pointed his gun at the head of one of them, Vincent didn't have time for negotiations. "You, tell me everything you know about SOLDIER." He clicked the safety off and the Avalanche mook gulped in anxiousness.
"W-what do you mean? What do you want to know?" The two that were speaking just a second ago froze and they already knew not to make any sudden movements. Especially if the guy that was keeping them hostage can sneak up on them like nothing.
"SOLDIER 1st class, ever heard of them? I want information on two of them. Ramiel and Alexandra, they must be famous, no?" Vincent squinted his eyes and he was getting antsy. He has nothing left, Lucrecia was missing. His only purpose now was to be with his children.
"Ahhh, the reapers of Shinra? Everybody knows them man… We can just maybe calm down and I'll tell you everything I know about them." The guy tried being smart and Vincent pressed his gun harder on his head. "Tell me now, or I blow your brains out."
"Okay! Okay! Geez, they're currently in Wutai. The twins are leading a war against the nation. I believe they're having massive success, but progress is slow because Wutai is putting up a good fight." Vincent's hostage immediately spilled.
"I see." The Avalanche members quickly lost sight of him as they sighed in relief. "Who the hell was that guy?" They were confused, as Vincent asked about the super famous 1st class twins of Shinra. Not about Avalanche or their base of operations. Shinra has been spreading information and propaganda about the twins for some time now after all.
"Tch, Wutai… That's far away, it will take months for me to travel there on foot. I need to get a plane or something. But I don't have any money." Vincent clicked his tongue in frustration. He then remembered the group of Avalanche.
"I think they need a hand, better to cause some problems to Shinra before I go to Wutai anyway. The twins won't be going anywhere if the nation is putting up a fight." Vincent tracked the members of Avalanche again and was going to be a mercenary for a bit.
