Chapter 79 - Ambush

Alec's memories about how he helped Dwane to find Michelle immersed him into a sea of guilt.

His guilt was so strong that he completely ignored how Michelle manipulated him by providing false Intel.

It was another futile day for Alec without El by his side. Even though he wouldn't admit it, he missed her.

The following day, Ricky visited Alwils Villa and was surprised to find Dwane there.

"I'll call you back, yes I'll talk to him. I'm hanging up now." Ricky told Michelle and hung up his phone. Noticing the suitcase with Dwane, he asked

"Moving out?"

Dwane nodded.

"Where is Alec?"

"I don't know." Dwane plainly said and walked to the door. Ricky went upstairs to look for Alec.

A few minutes later, Dwane entered again to get some of his remaining stuff when he heard Ricky's phone ringing. It picked it and saw that Michelle was calling. He received the call,

"Ricky, did Alec agree to see me?" She anxiously asked.

Dwane stood silently as he heard her talking.

"Ricky, can you hear me?" She repeatedly asked and then hung up.

At that very moment Dwane concocted an evil plan, all this while he wasn't able to get hold of her,

She hadn't even once got out of Ford's Villa in these two days and Daniel had high-end security arranged around his Villa.

This was the best opportunity for him.

'I get him at the bar in half an hour, be there.'

He texted her with Ricky's phone and walked out with an evil grin plastered to his face.

Michelle was overjoyed at Ricky's text. Knowing that Daniel wouldn't allow her to meet Alec, she sneaked out of the villa and made her way to Ricky's bar.

Meanwhile, Dwane got to the bar and asked Jason to empty the bar for a private meeting.

Knowing that he was Ricky's friend, Jason followed his instructions without any doubts.

Michelle had arrived at the bar exactly in half an hour. She entered the bar, it was unusually dark inside. She was too elated to be considerate of the precarious vibe inside the bar

"You are on time Miss. Ford."

She turned towards the direction of the voice and saw Dwane.

He stood at some distance exuding an oppressive aura around him.

He seemed like the God of death himself.

Michelle stood still like a frozen statue. Her accelerated heartbeat was loud enough for everyone to hear.

Dwane let out a despising smirk,

"Get Her"

his oppressive voice reverberated through the empty bar.

Two heavily built men approached Michelle, before one of them could lay a hand on her, he was jolted to the ground with a heavy punch from Mark.

Thankfully Mark was always around to protect Michelle.

"Get them." Dwane bellowed.

"And remember, I want her alive."

Four more burly men headed towards them. Looking at their figure and stance they were clearly skilled fighters.

To make matters worse they were even armed with daggers. Dwane had come prepared to get hold of Michelle.

"I'll need your help." Mark said, looking into her eyes.

Letting go of her timid and fearful demeanour, Michelle let out a single solemn nod and took her stance for the combat ahead. In no time they broke into a violent fight.

To everyone's surprise, Michelle was equally skilled as Mark in fighting. She gracefully kicked and punched the men approaching her. However, they were outnumbered two against six.

Young Jason panicked at the sight of the fight, he hurried inside and called Ricky.

Unfortunately Ricky didn't pick his call. Jason tried few more times but all his attempts were futile.

At Alwils Villa,

"Is that your phone ringing?" Alec asked Ricky. Both of them were in the upstairs study.

"I don't hear anything" Ricky said but he also searched for his phone.

"I can't find my phone, I think I left it downstairs." Saying this both of them walked to the living room.

Ricky picked his phone and saw several missed calls from Jason, in no time there was another call from him. He quickly received it.

Jason breathlessly told him the whole incident.

"What!"

Ricky was thunderstruck.

This reaction also made Alec apprehensive.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

Ricky hung up the phone and noticed his message to Michelle. It further distressing him.

"Dwane tricked Michelle. They are the bar. We need to go." He said as he hurried outside.

Alec's heart was filled with dread when he heard Ricky's words. Irrespective of whatever Michelle did, he still loved her and feared for her life.

Both of them rushed to the car and tried reaching the bar as soon as they could.

The moment they stepped in, they saw Michelle and Mark fighting against two men, while four unknown but well built men laid on the floor, lamenting in pain. Dwane on the other hand calmly stood in front of them with an unwavering fierce demeanour.

A man marched towards Michelle with a dagger in his hand, Alec's heart stopped at the sight he moved to save her.

Dwane continued looking intently at them.

To Alec's surprise, Michelle skillfully blocked the attack and forced the man to throw the dagger.

She kicked him on his stomach.

Michelle and Mark were way more skilled than the men Dwane hired. But they were lightly stabbed and bruised as well, since they were outnumbered.

The man was about to attack Michelle,

"STOP" Alec screamed at the top of his voice.

He caught everyone's attention, the man stopped at his track, but Michelle kicked him again making him fall to the ground.

The man fighting against Mark had also fallen to the floor, groaning in pain.

Michelle and Mark took their nearest seats out of fatigue.
