Alec's phone rang forcing him to wake up early.
"You woke me up for something this trivial?" Alec said in an irritated voice and hung up.
He turned to his side to face El, but she wasn't there beside him.
Although Alec liked her cooking, he missed finding her sleeping peacefully in his arms. It used to be his first sight every morning and it felt heavenly.
He stepped down his bed and freshened himself quickly to see El. Knowing that she'd be in the kitchen he hurried there.
When he reached, he saw Dwane, Dwane moved at a close proximity to El, as he approached the refrigerator to fetch him juice.
Alec was obviously jealous to see any man close to El.
To make matters worse, Dwane was shirtless, further intensifying Alec's jealousy and rage. He tried hard to maintain his composure.
"El."
She turned towards him and flashed a bright smile.
"Good morning Love."
Her sudden smile and the twinkle in her eyes helped him calm down. Studying the vibe around them, Dwane stepped out of the kitchen.
Alec got closer to El and bit her on her nape. She whimpered and trembled at his actions.
He continued kissing and nibbling her nape. Holding her arms tightly with his hand, he gritted his teeth,
"Stop trembling."
El was finding it hard to focus, giving up she let her body react to Alec's actions.
Her head instinctively moved up in pleasure, giving a better access to her neck.
"Alec, please... not now, I'll be late for work. Please." she pleaded.
"CruEl"
Alec pouted as he stopped kissing, he hugged her from behind and rested his chin on her shoulder.
El returned to her work and gasped when she saw the burnt veggies.
"Crap" she exclaimed and threw them.
"Have Patty make breakfast." Alec suggested.
"No, I'll do it. What would you like to have?"
Alec thought for a moment and said "Chocolate chip pancake and make it extra sweet just like the one who is preparing it."
"Sure" she said and planted a kiss on Alec's cheek.
Today's breakfast was different for Dwane.
Contrary to the spicy food he was having for the past few days, today's breakfast was sweet.
"It's delicious." Alec said.
The couple had their eyes fixed on each other as they continued to have their food.
Later that evening, Ricky texted El, 'Join us at the bar, it's been a while we have met.'
El had recently reached Alwils Villa from the gym when she received his text. Although she was tired, she decided to join them.
"Hi guys," she said entering the private booth, she moved ahead and sat beside Alec.
"How come you are here?" Alec asked as he wrapped his arm around her and moved her hair strands away from her face. He did it every time she sat next to him.
"Ricky called me." She replied.
"Huh" He wanted to take her away and keep her to himself, and be with her all the time.
He caressed her hair as he continued thinking about caging her with him for eternity.
They heard a faint sound from the TV nearby, a picture of a couple was displayed followed by a crack mark between the couple.
"What's that about?" El asked.
"Jason, could you turn the volume up?" Ricky asked.
Jason was a young lad who used to take care of the bar under Ricky's supervision.
He raised the volume, making the news audible.
"The infamous Joseph Moore is getting a divorce from his devoted wife Amelia."
The animation of their picture being torn was repeatedly telecasted.
"Mr. Moore is rumoured to marry his girlfriend Rita. Who saved his life a year ago." They displayed Rita's picture.
"A marriage of 3 long years comes to an end and the lovers unite" they continued displaying the same pictures and animations along with public opinion towards the couple.
Some expressed sympathy towards Amelia, some others called their marriage contractual or nominal.
"Poppycock,"
El said out loud, rolling her eyes.
"Saving someone should be done out of humanity, not selfish motives. Especially not with motives to break a couple."
"So you think Mr. Moore is wrong to accept his saviour's request?" Dwane asked.
El thought for a few moments and replied, "He shouldn't have been facing that dilemma in the first place. It's too selfish of Miss Rita to ask him for that.
I wouldn't expect anything in return if I happen to save someone's life."
"Don't you ever think of doing something dangerous like that, putting your life in jeopardy." Alec said sternly.
Ignoring Alec's words Dwane asked El,
"But she has already made the request, so according to you Miss. El, is Mr. Moore right or wrong?" Dwane's eyes were fixed on her as he asked his question.
Alec noticed it and felt irked.
"First, it's Mrs. Wilson and this feels like a discussion on an ethical dilemma. Huh" she let out an audible exhale and continued,
"Does a person owe to his or her saviour? If yes, then to what extent?"
