That evening, at Crossfire gym,
"Dwane won't do anything unless he finds you, if he wanted to harm the Ford family, he could have done it long back. It is because of your foolhardiness he is here and you aren't doing a great job at keeping your cover." Mark reprimanded Michelle.
"Just be the normal El. Okay?
Michelle nodded, "But what if he goes after my family now?"
"Daniel Ford is capable enough to protect his family."
'But me' El thought with anguish.
"As for your grandmother, I've taken care of security measures. But don't visit her without being accompanied by your husband. We don't want anyone to get suspicious."
Michelle nodded.
"What if he manages to find me?" Brother R managed to". She showed Mark the messages and told him about their conversation.
"Who ever he is, he is near you, keeping a close eye. However, he got to know about you by deeply looking into EL's background. That won't happen again, I've arranged for it." Mark said.
"Anyways, right now you only need to focus on two things, keeping your cover and preparing for the worst."
Michelle nodded with determination.
Before leaving the gym, she called Isobelle and informed her about Dwane.
Isobelle's anger knew no bounds when it came to Dwane.
Michelle felt more guilty and threatened towards Dwane for leaving him at the altar and inviting his fury against her.
At times she blamed herself for her current state and Dwane's anger.
While Michelle had mixed emotions towards Dwane, Isobelle harboured pure, unrelenting hatred for him.
"He wants Michelle Ford right, I'll give him Michelle Ford" Isobelle said maliciously.
"What do you plan to do?"
"Wait and watch." Isobelle replied and hung up.
When El reached Alwils Villa, she saw Alec drinking with Dwane. This time she didn't let her aversions reflect on her face, her fear against Dwane was slowly dissipating.
She flashed a pleasant smile and walked to her room.
Before she could step into the bathroom, Alec pulled her hand bringing her closer to him. Raising her head he kissed her lips.
"Alec..umm..." she moaned.
"What took you so long?" he said, breaking the kiss.
His hands slid inside her dress.
"Alec.."
"What?"
"Umm.. nothing" El said and kissed him back.
She didn't deny him even if she wanted to. However, she was visibly tired.
She drowned into deep slumber after having satisfied their carnal desires.
"El wake up, you haven't eaten anything." Alec looked at her earnestly, emanating love and care.
"No.." she raised her blanket over her head. Her slight eccentric behaviour was concerning Alec.
"Sleep well" he said and left the room.
While Alec and Dwane were having dinner Dwane asked, " Isn't your wife joining us?"
"No, she is asleep, she had a tiring day"
"Why does she have to work?, It isn't like you can't provide her with everything."
"She said she wanted to work. I saw no reason to say anything otherwise." Alec nonchalantly answered.
"You could've used your position to get her a better yet less stressful job." Dwane suggested.
"I like to let her be, she is perfect that way." A smile creeped on Alec's face when he called her perfect.
Dwane noticed how Alec smiled everytime he talked or thought of El.
Next day, Dwane woke up early like he usually did. He walked to the kitchen, this time solely for the purpose of seeing El.
He felt something strange about her, something he didn't comprehend or even tried to. He only unconsciously followed his Instinct when he was around her.
Unfortunately, to his disappointment, El was not in the kitchen. He glanced around in the house to find her but to no avail. He went upstairs, when he reached he saw her stepping out of her room. She was all dressed up in formal wears while he was shirtless,
"Leaving for work?" He asked in his husky voice. El nodded and walked away.
He stopped her "Miss El.",
She was immediately alerted never once she noticed the similarity between the sounds of 'Miss El' and ' Michelle'
"Umm, please address me as Mrs Wilson, Mr. Farehya"
Even though Dwane noticed her distancing herself from him, he felt his body tense up when she called him 'Mr. Farehya'.
"I'm getting late for work, I'll leave now" saying that she left. Dwane stood still watching her leave.
The rest of the day went as usual. In the evening the three friends gathered at Ricky's bar.
"Hi guys, sorry I'm late." El chimed in.
'Why does she have to be everywhere?' Dwane felt irked.
She sat beside Alec and he planted a kiss on her cheek as he wrapped his arm around her waist.
Alec and Dwane were having whiskey while Ricky and El had wine.
Alec was being more romantic and chummy towards El, making her blush.
The couple made everyone else on the table envious of them, especially Dwane.
'I could have had this if I was with Michelle or….' the face of his first love flashed in his memories as his heart flooded with an overwhelming storm of emotions.
"Excuse me" he said and walked to the washroom.
He shut the door harshly and held the sink counter as he let out a few deep breaths.
"Did you find her?" He asked his assistant Bill on a call.
"We haven't found both of them." He replied in a low voice.
"I want you and Tom here at the earliest." He hung up and stepped out.
"I'll be moving out tomorrow, my assistants will also be arriving soon." Dwane told Alec.
"Why? You can stay at my place as long as you want, brother." Alec said.
"Yes indeed" El agreed with a sly smile on her face. Ricky was stunned at her words.
"You don't need to move out, we'll have guest rooms arranged for your assistants. Please stay Mr. Farehya, I insist."
'What has got into this woman?' Ricky was thoroughly baffled on the other hand, Alec's face soured at her words.
"Fine." Dwane replied
