We are going forward and studying our past is not gonna help but all she could do was wear a nice smile and pretend she's listening
Next was biology,her second favorite
First was maths
The class didn't have a representative yet but she is determined to take that position cos that will mean one huge step in reaching her goal
"Next is biology and our class will be held in the laboratory".she announced, leaving the classroom first
The laboratory was like any other biology laboratory.charts of the human system hung on different parts of the walls, A shelf housing specimens sat in a corner of the room.Microscopes were on every table which always means that a practical test was well on it's way.she took her seat on the first chair next to the teacher's desk and sat down gracefully while the rest of the class dragged theirs.Before the teacher called the class to order,ten minutes had gone by
"Today,we would pair up into groups and examine the specimen placed on the desk".The teacher said and another ruckus came up with people looking for who to pair with.Ideally she would have picked brie but she was no longer in this class.she made the decision to transfer out cos she thought being in the same class with your best friend would distract her
"Who to pick".she wondered, looking round the room and it seemed maximus was also facing the same problem
Maximus had no one to pair up with,he searched around and saw Leyla facing the same problem
"I'll pair up with her".He thought, walking rather hurriedly
He was almost there and then--
"Hey,wanna pair up?".A girl who just walked in asked
"sure".Leyla said with a smile although she was bummed she wasn't in his group
"Have we all paired up?".The teacher asked adjusting a table's microscope
"Yes".The entire class replied in unison.Well,the entire class except maximus
"I'm not".He said in a timid voice.The teacher let out a long sigh not even bothering to mask his annoyance
"Join those guys".He pointed to the group that paired up immediately
"Best friends?".Maximus thought to himself
"Hello,I was asked to join this group ". maximus greeted.They looked at him then exchanged glances between themselves before chuckling rather weirdly
"Hello".They greeted in unison then turned to each other and started laughing
"I'm Stuart".The guy with the low cut introduced
"And I'm Philip but they call me Phil".This one had more of a bushy hair like he didn't know what to do with it
"Oh ok,I'm Maxi--"
"No need to introduce yourself".Phil interrupted
"Why ?"
"Everyone knows your name,The girls are basically chanting it".Stuart said pointing to a group of girls behind us.As soon as I turned back, they pretended to look at their microscopes(the wrong way)
"I see". Maximus stuttered clearly surprised
