In the morning, a ray of sunshine washed over an old man's body warming up his skin and blood after the long cold night that he had been exposed to.
The old man's eyelids trembled as he opened his drowsy eyes. He looked around the barren field that he spent the last night in and smiled in satisfaction.
Last night, he used the reward that he got after killing the ignorant brat that the system assigned for him to destroy and advanced five small realms. Right now, he is already halfway through the journey to reach the Qi condensing realm.
Even if anyone caught wind of this, no one would believe it. An old man who is a cultivator that's been forever unable to cultivate suddenly breaks through five small realms on the foundation establishment realm is simply something unheard of!
But the truth is that even breaking through all these small realms in one night is still not enough to please Abaddon, but he at least felt that his journey to his peak cultivation realm and getting back his revenge will be even shorter if this continues.
Just as he was getting up from his full of dust spot that's literally a ground full of rocks that he had been sitting on for the past day, he froze. Someone was actually been staring at him this whole time and he didn't feel anything or discovered them.
Controlling his shock and wariness, he didn't showcase any emotion as he stared back at the young woman in a white dress that was still shamelessly and blatantly gazing at him with eyes full of interest.
It never crossed his mind that he would live a day when someone would be able to sneak up on him without his knowledge. At this moment, he felt the need to get his strength back even more, but first, he had to figure out what's the deal with this woman.
He was an old fox that had seen countless scenarios of such things, hence he didn't feel a bit afraid but only wary as he knew that if his head wasn't already chopped and collecting dust in the ground then his life isn't actually in danger.
The young woman that's been silent for the few minutes after Abaddon opened his eyes and stared back finally took a deep breath as she spoke, her gentle voice sending waves of freshness and happiness running down the old man's muscles.
" You managed to survive the Dragon Slayers' joint attack with only but a few internal injuries, would you be interested in joining my clan as an elder ?"
Abaddon calmly responded to the young heavenly-looking woman like nothing was wrong with this conversation and its current location, his calmness in fact made the mysterious woman in front of him even more interested in taking him in.
" I wouldn't mind, just give me the location and I'm gonna head there in a few days. I sadly can't now since I have a few things to take care of."
He cut her off before she opens her mouth and insist on going with him in case that was her intention. At this moment, he was extremely careful in making this woman displeased with his actions hence he readily accepted her request.
The woman didn't have a change in expression, yet her next words made Abaddon gulp his saliva. He somehow felt that a second bad thing is gonna happen to him after the already unfortunate event of him being chased down by the Dragonoid duo.
" That's fine with me, just don't take so long to come."
Abaddon was about to assure her that everything was fine till the woman made a move solidifying her words.
A terrifying sinister aura washed over his body as he felt that he couldn't take a single breath anymore, if it was any other person with his low cultivation standing in his place right now he would undoubtedly drop to the ground unconscious if not dead by now.
Luckily for him, he lived for so long and experienced way more auras that were countless times stronger than this, so he could still keep holding on.
The mysterious woman after seeing that the old man was almost at his limit and could drop dead at any moment given his reaction of full sweat and unsightly face immediately ceased her actions.
After all, she was indeed here cause she needs him and wouldn't want to kill such a talent like that. She only released her aura a bit to make him obey her and come to the clan as he promised and not flee.
She knows that cultivators are extremely cunning and wouldn't obey other people's words that easily hence her actions were needed.
" That was only a little warning if u dare to break your promise, never forget that even with your strength there are people who are way stronger than you!"
She is in the belief that Abaddon was a godly realm cultivator after she watched the fight for a bit right now and even her aura was calculated to intimidate godly realm cultivators.
If she found out that he was actually at the very beginning of his cultivation journey and was able to withstand her aura, it wouldn't be surprising if she would instantly kill him right here and now.
Someone with such terrifying talent would surely rise to the top, and that means that he would have to surpass everyone and defeat all his competitors to do so and she could be one of them if things didn't work as well between them.
Thus, in case someone was indeed extremely righteous and strong enough to take in such a talent under him no one would do it and everyone would take the safest option.
After saying so, the mysterious woman's figure disappeared into thin air leaving the fully drenched in sweat old man that was about to fall to the ground alone again.
" It is indeed another unlucky turn of events haha." Abaddon laughed it off as he quickly calmed down his raising heart that uncontrollably went out of control and stood up.
He stroked his beard with his left hand and placed his right one at the back of his hunched back as he began walking through the barren field, his destination unknown even to himself.
