Chapter 33 - Cleaning Up 3

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

The goblin chief angrily exited the tent he occupied after being disturbed by the commotion occurring outside.

Seeing what had become of the settlement he had painstakingly built after the destruction of their empire, an ugly, grim expression overshadowed the goblin chief's face.

He began to look around at the now chaotic and disorderly place, searching for the cause of the commotion.

Noticing young humans, elves, and other Demi humans slaughtering his kin indiscriminately and effortlessly a memory he wanted to forget badly, reemerge in his mind, the image of a young boy slaughtering his kin like a god stepping upon ants.

Just as this memory resurfaced in his mind, he could feel his strength being sipped away by some unknown force, and before he knew it, he was no better than an elite hobgoblin.

The goblin chief realizing what he had become the already grim expressions on his face worsened, he couldn't even scream in anger, afraid to attract the attention of the attackers.

Everyone that has been observing the scene from above accompanying Kanzen quickly notices the two-meter large goblin welding a massive axe exit the largest tent in the settlement.

Seeing how restless the guy had become after seeing the children in a frenzy, the group couldn't help but shift their focus to their young master, recalling the words he had previously spoken.

--- Young master Kanzen isn't joking.

Everyone could sense that the aura the goblin chief is emitting is no different from an elite hobgoblin, this in turned confirm the validity of their young master's claim.

The goblin chief's gaze shifted to the direction of the forest, earnestly beginning to consider retreating, he didn't care about pride or duty, he had already escaped once why not do it twice, surely the young monsters wouldn't chase him right.

In contemplation, the goblin chief didn't notice a sneaky fella exuding heavy bloodlust had already crept his way beside him.

Slash!

The goblin chief was launched skyward, although he managed to avoid critical damage in time before the dagger reached his neck, his heavy muscular body seems too light in front of his assailant.

He was launched several meters by the unstoppable shock wave, slamming straight at the tents that blocked his path.

As the goblin chief rolled to the ground, the assailant once again made an appearance, this time coming from above, sending a hard downright kick straight to his back.

The goblin chief couldn't evade or even scream in pain as multiple fractured bones crack after receiving the heavy strike.

He was sent hard to the ground, creating a small crater in the process, and before the chief could recover from the continuous surprise assaults, a shadow fell over him.

Neon's visage resembles the harbinger of death itself as his cold, expressionless eyes stared directly at the struggling goblin chief.

The goblin chief made eye contact with Neon.

Time seems to stand still in the face of those cold, glistening crimson eyes.

Slash

Those cold, glistening crimson eyes were the last thing the goblin chief saw before his vision was engulfed by complete darkness.

"You've finished him off already!"

Little Alicia appeared before Neon, a frown on her gorgeous face.

"He seems weakened for some reason."

Neon muttered in contemplation, he kneeled to the ground reaching for the energy crystal.

"How can you say so?"

Hearing Neon's claim, the earlier frown on little Alicia's face completely vanish, replaced by a deep curiosity.

Little Alicia is the competitive type, she treats Neon, Jean, and other genius kids as her rivals.

The reason for her previous frowning expression, was the fact that Neon had defeated the goblin chief easily without needing help.

This fact might imply that he is stronger than her.

So, Neon claims that the goblin chief seems weaker than what they initially concluded calm her burning competitive spirit down.

"He doesn't seem to have good control over his body, symptoms you would find when you are unfamiliar about something."

Neon said after a deep contemplation recalling his one-sided battle, how the goblin chief was having a hard time just from raising his battleaxe.

"Ah, right, the control training young master taught."

Little Alicia immediately recalled the unique training Kanzen brought up, it's unlike the hell training they have experience.

But if given a right to choose, they would rather choose hell training compared to control training.

Because control training is the most embarrassing training manual they ever experienced.

They need to quickly adapt to the changes happening in their stats.

Sudden increase in speed, sudden decrease in speed, sudden increase in strength, sudden decrease in strength.

These are just the example of things they need to familiarize themselves in order to properly control their body under any circumstances.

"Right, that's it, the goblin chief seems to have been inflicted by a strong weakening power that resulted in its overall combat capabilities to drop drastically."

"You think the adults had help us?"

"I don't think so, young master, said to treat this hunt as an exam of a sort."

As the two kids continue to converse in their own world, ignoring the ongoing chaos around them, Hassan emerged from their shadow.

"You guys don't need to bother yourselves about what had happened to the goblin chief, one of young master's passive skills reduces an enemies overall combat power the moment they feared him."

"The goblin chief is one of those that had to escape after the young lord destroyed the goblin empire, surely the fella would be traumatized after seeing young children slaughtering his kin."

"Young lord's passive is activated the moment the goblin chief exited the tent."

Hassan explained in a not so detailed depiction.

Understanding the gest of what Hassan is trying to convey, the two kids just nodded in respect.

They couldn't help but admired their master more and more as time passed by.

"You master, sure is amazing, to traumatize a powerful goblin to the point it loses a big chuck of it's power, isn't that hilarious."

Little Alicia happily chimed recalling the gentle caressed she received from Kanzen even though it was an accident.

Hassan immediately returned beside Kanzen, a grim expression apparent on his face.

"My lord, I am sorry there's seemed to be a problem."

"A problem, you say, let me hear it."

"The goblin settlement has a population of about 5,000 plus goblins, but presently I could only count up to 4280, a large number of goblins appears to be absent."

From Hassan's words he could deduce that the missing goblins might have gone off to hunt or plunder, those are the only possible options he could think with the highest probability of being accurate.

"You guys stay here and watch over the kids, I will be tracking the missing goblins."

"My lord, you don't need to bother yourself, let us do it."

"No! These missing ones probably went to plundered resources from the nearby villages, every second counts for a lost life."

"Then allow some of us to accompany you, my lord."

Sebastian suggested.

"Hassan and Sebastian will be accompanying me, you guys stay here and ensure the kids safety, this wouldn't take long."

Hearing Kanzen's stern serious tone clearly wouldn't take a no for an answer, everybody kneeled to the ground in unison before saying at the same time.

"AS YOU COMMAND…!"
