The bloody battlefield had fallen into an eerie silence, both Kanzen and the Goblin King glared at each other, bypassing the far distance and the tick smoke that blocked one's vision.
The Goblin Queen situated atop a clock tower observed the scene occurring below with a conflicted glint in her deep crimson eyes.
"My queen, what should we do?" The goblin queen's retainer asked in a trembling voice.
Ever since the battle began, he had developed a deep felt fear towards Kanzen. He wanted nothing more than to escape this battlefield. Unfortunately, being the Queen's retainer, he couldn't just abandon the battlefield and leave hid queen behind, that would be a tan amount to betrayal.
The goblin queen retainer's sentiment is shared by every goblin in the vicinity, the goblin king and queen included.
Kanzen's passive release of [Prime Predator] skill combined with his uncanny strange means to fight them head-on without sustaining a single injury made everyone hopeless.
The only factor pushing the goblins forward is the remainder of their king that the monster is probably exhausted.
They just need to push further until the monster loses its fighting capabilities, at that moment they can just kill him without much trouble.
Unfortunately, for them, they are indeed right about him being exhausted. The problem is, Kanzen can instantly recover his lost stamina back to its peak just after a quick break.
Kanzen's already broken mysterious constitution, combined with his intense training, abilities, and overpowered items, provided him with a near anomalous recovery speed.
The Goblin King who was glaring daggers at Kanzen all this time observing him closely noticed this anomaly, his eyes widened as his hair stood up to no end.
"This monster shouldn't be left alive, attack!"
The goblin king shouted to the goblins in his command, hearing their monarch decree everyone in his command immediately moved.
The knights rushed to Kanzen at an impeccable speed and power, welding their swords, shields, and axes.
The archers position themselves holding tight to their bows, nocking their arrows, aiming them at Kanzen.
Shaman the mage version of goblins began their chants their mystical words echoing throughout the entire battlefield.
The goblin king deemed that if they couldn't defeat Kanzen now, it would only be a matter of time before he grows stronger beyond their power. Then, when that time comes, their empire would surely vanish from the face of the earth.
[It seems like the Goblin King, had fallen desperate]
"Yes, this is it~"
[You probably shouldn't hold back anymore, it is dangerous, we don't know what might happen if one of your detached thoughts ended up dying]
Hearing Tina's concerned tone voice, Kanzen's excitement docile down greatly.
Just like she said they didn't really know what might happen when a detached thought is killed, they haven't done any experimentation regarding such a field, things that affect the mind are too dangerous to be touched.
"Worry not Tina, I'll be sure to kick their ass without my second body dying."
He found that as time passed by he grew increasingly attached to Tina, before they were already too close because of their eternal soul connection that instinctively made them wholeheartedly accept each other. Now, however, Kanzen couldn't help but feel bad wherever he made her worried.
He deemed these phenomena as something they called companionship.
(A/N: Kanzen lived a life as a normal teenager before the apocalypse descended on earth, he also lived a hard life trying to survive and become strong like any other apocalyptic stories. However, those lives became something like a distant memory, they are too foggy, this resulted in him becoming a naïve, clueless, innocent and a bit of an airhead. His serious and scholarly disposition is the result of his mind creating a defensive mechanism after it recovers thanks to Starlight. In order to prevent a second time of being used by others again for their gains. This resulted in him developing a mixture of multiple personalities that have been mentioned before. So, things about love, compassion, anger, and other emotions he reveals from time to time is but an instinctual reaction to his part as his mind is still on guard instinctively protecting him from any outside interference. Him trusting Tina and not wanting to worry her is also his mind's cognitive function that deemed Tina as a needed factor to slowly heal his broken self.)
…
Sensing the strong bloodlust emanating from everyone targeted at him, Kanzen couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
The goblins began their move, the knights are already nearing him, the archers already fired their enchanted arrows, and the shamans magic circles already made their appearance.
In response to their continuous assaults Kanzen just stood there without doing a thing, he seems to be mocking their efforts.
He activated his [Intangible] putting him in a state of nothingness where nothing could touch him.
He ignored the rain of enacted arrows and spells as he dashed forward appearing before the knights confronting them in a head on clash where his state of nothingness dissipated the moment his first strike connected.
His sword cleanly cut the nearest unguarded knights into fine pieces.
Some even tried to use the death of their companion as a bait to lure him, they did try to counter-attack trying to deal a decisive blow to him.
But Kanzen just shrugged their attacks swiftly dodging them like they were nothing.
He redirected their every assault in different directions trying to maintain his stance as he exchanges sword clashes with more than a dozen goblin knights.
He couldn't fight them head on as the difference in their parameters is too huge, he could only face them because of his boost and due to his overly high mastery in his comprehension in dao's.
His sword dao reached the realm where he could face true gods head-on.
Unfortunately, due to his low parameters he is currently limited in performing beginning master level over the sword.
The strain in using power beyond one's current capabilities is too great that Kanzen didn't want to risk it for an instant victory.
He danced freely and gracefully in the battlefield as blood splattered everywhere, depicting a marvelous image of a young man dancing in a blood party of a ruined city.
He solely relies on his sword mastery without using a technique in facing the knights, honing his mastery as he improved it further into perfection.
…
Far from the battlefield, a tiny person who has a black cat tail her face and figure hidden in a black hooded cape.
She's using a telescope watching the unbelievable scene of a young boy facing tens of thousands of enemies head-on
.
She couldn't fathom the unbelievable scene before her eyes, but the scene occurring there said otherwise.
"Noo! He's going to die~"
She saw the unstoppable sword of who seems to be the strongest goblin knight approaching the young boys neck.
She couldn't help but unconsciously grip her dagger almost wanting to jump straight to the battlefield to save the boy forgetting the fact that she was too far for him.
Because of her action, she accidentally dropped the telescope she was using, cutting her vision of the battle.
She immediately picked up the telescope in panic, wanting to know what had happened, when she did so she witnessed how the boy decapitated the goblin knight captain, kicking its body as he used the captain's body as a shield to a barrage of arrows.
