"Don't give me that crap! If it wasn't for my knight's presence, you would have already seized control over my Empire long ago." (Goblin King)
--- This is all because of that damn shaman's machinations, planting false suggestions onto my King's mind now he thoroughly ignores my words treating them as some kind of treat to his position and life. (Goblin Queen)
There was one powerful genius shaman on par with the goblin queen in power centuries ago, she's a shrewd person who would do anything to achieve her objective.
Unfortunately, before her plans of taking over the goblin empire come into fruition the goblin queen a genius of the same caliber as the shaman in terms of mind games bested the shaman resulting for the said shaman's downfall.
However, in exchange, the king she supported all her life, began to be cautious against her.
The death of the great shaman is still a mystery for most but to the goblins that have a high status knew that it was the doing of their queen that resulted in the great shaman's death.
Ever since then the goblin king was always on guard against his queen afraid that she might one day do the same to him.
This turned out to be a misunderstanding as the queen didn't have an ounce of desire to rule the goblin empire alone without a king.
One's a goblin king is born and had ruled for a few years no goblin king will be born to those that he had ruled. So killing the goblin King is like severing a considerable part of a body, no matter how many years passed the missing part wouldn't regenerate and would always stay missing.
Goblin King are known for their command skills and goblin queens are known for their individual prowess, if she were to kill her king, the position will be forever lost.
So in her perspective her King's paranoia is baseless.
She had been searching for a way to fix their relationship but to no avail her king indulged himself with his slaves instead of spending time with her.
Knock…! Knock…!
Breaking the momentary silence and the Queen's long reflection, a hurried, loud knocking can be heard coming from the door of the inner sanctum.
"ENTER…!" (Goblin King)
Entering the inner sanctum was a two-meter goblin garb in a majestic looking black and crimson armor protected from top to the bottom except the eye sockets.
"My king, my queen, pardon my intrusion, I your knight had come to deliver urgent news." (Goblin Knight)
"What's it…?" (Goblin Queen)
Feeling that his moment has been stolen, Goblin King glared at the queen before he repeated the same question.
"What's it…?" (Goblin King)
Ignoring her king's shameful childishness display, the Queen's attention was onto the intimidating knight.
The knight knowing it's better to not infuriate either his queen and king could only continue to do his intended job.
"That hateful creature had once again invaded the palace city of the Empire, he is currently at the center of the city."
Before the Goblin Knight could finish relaying his report a terrifying explosion 💥 occurred it reverberated throughout the entire city shaking the very foundations of the buildings.
The inner sanctum wasn't an exception to this as both the queen and king wearily looked at the trembling pillars, walls, and ceiling of the inner sanctum in caution.
"What's going on?" (Goblin King)
He screamed in fury.
"That hateful creature might have noticed our Empire's movements." (Goblin Queen)
The queen assumed.
"What movements are you spouting about, don't tell me you did something drastic again without inquiring about me beforehand?" (Goblin King)
Hearing her King's accusatory questioning, the Queen couldn't help but chuckled in response. Seeing this deliberate provocation, the king almost lost himself in rage just before the queen continued.
"If you aren't too occupied by the accompaniment of those filthy slaves of yours, you would have known what movements I mean"
She couldn't fathom how low her king had fallen, even after that shameless shaman's death, that vixen's machinations and suggestions still clouded her King's mind.
Seeing this the king was angered and was about to reach its limits.
He wanted nothing in the world but to cut the throat of his once fateful queen.
Unfortunately, he couldn't act recklessly, while his queen looks like a beautiful fragile maiden, the truth of the matter she's a mighty being far more powerful than him in terms of single combat.
While they are both level 5 unique monarchs strengthened monsters the difference in their parameters and wisdom individually is beyond comparison.
Moreover, he can really kill her, he couldn't lose her brilliant mind, the moment he lost her the Empire they worked so hard to build for centuries will surely crumble in a matter of time with her absence.
…
…
…
Outside the castle 🏰 the battle had already begun, chords of feet marching causing the ground to tremble as tens of thousands of Goblins rushed to the center of most of the city, desiring nothing but to end the life of the hateful creature that turned their lives miserable.
The numerous dark green mobs of monsters swarmed like moths attached to fire 🔥 in a literal term.
In the center of the Goblin Empire, a great devastation was present caused by Kanzen2.0's continues barrage of magical arrows that rain 🌧️ hellfire upon the entire city center, slaughtering hundreds of goblins with each successive shots.
Kanzen2.0 stood atop the highest stone pillar, overlooking the devastation his attacks had brought.
His expression is serious, a frowning grimace on his beautifully handsome face.
This was due to what his domain had informed him.
He could sense hundreds of goblins that would be a bother to kill, there were also two goblins probably the king in queen mentioned in the quest that gave off a threatening vibe.
However, this wasn't the reason for his why he has a bad expression, what really upset him is the hundreds of humans and demi humans lock up under the castle dungeon.
Moreover, most of these lock up prisoners were young women, there were only a couple of men. He could deduce what they're meant for, that's the reason his expression turned bad.
"These creatures, I was planning to let some live. But now, no matter, I'll annihilate them. Not a single one would be spared~" (Kanzen)
[Do what you must, I'll be here watching you]
The first batch of goblins were burnt 🔥 to crisp, thereafter another batch of goblins numbering in thousands steps forward to fill up the missing parts.
They rushed onto the fire trying to approach him like mad dogs that would do anything just to bite their targets.
Behind them an organized platoon of goblins numbering to a hundred raise their bows and aim their arrows aiming for him.
Kanzen was just about to send another volley of magic arrows when amidst the tick smoke behind him a spear was shot straight aiming for his head at a speed that reached 750 mph (ca. 1,207 km/h).
His instincts and danger senses ring bells in his head, instead of deflecting the spear he jumped to the side evading the spear in a nick of time.
His decision was the right call because the moment the spear collided with the building ahead it caused a massive explosion that can be compared with his full powered explosion magic.
The building was destroyed to its very foundation not leaving a single trace that it existed except for a considerable crater where it once stood.
