Chereads / The Vampire Prince Wants To Be Low-key / Chapter 2 - Professor Roan

Chapter 2 - Professor Roan

Roan found himself in the middle of a city.

It was already nighttime, but there was still a large number of civilians from different races roaming around the streets. The huge ancestral home of the Artest Family was nowhere to be seen. What replaced it was a two-story clothing shop.

Roan sighed and walked forward with his head down only to see his reflection in a small puddle.

He is a handsome man with long white hair that stretched to his shoulder. The white hair color is the symbol of the Artest Family, the royal bloodline of the Vampires.

'No one might be able to recognize the symbol of the Artest Family anymore, but I still have to be careful.' After thinking about it, he grabbed a sword-shaped earring from his skull bracelet and put it on his left ear. This item is a Divine-Grade relic that can change the aura and features of the wearer. It is a great item that can conceal his identity!

After putting it on, Roan's white hair and red irises slowly turned black. His facial features also changed a bit and even his cold aura suddenly turned gentle. He transformed into a handsome human with a friendly personality. There was no resemblance of the cold and brutal prince of the Vampires at all.

"Now, what name should I use for my identity? I can still use my first name, but I have to temporarily change my family name. Let's see…"

Suddenly, he saw snowflakes slowly falling from the sky. Winter has come.

"Neus…which also means snow… Roan Neus…" He muttered with a smile.

'Father, since you want me to live carefree life, I'll do as you wish, but once I have sufficient power, I'll make sure that the Demonoids will pay!' He thought to himself as he blended into the crowd.

A week later, Roan finally has a general understanding of the place. The city where he was in is called Umbra City, the capital of Bertani, a country that is controlled by the Alliance.

After the founding of Bertani, the Alliance placed great emphasis in nurturing young elites who would serve as the future fighters of the country. The Alliance established many academies all around the country with the sole purpose of training the younger generation.

In Umbra City, there is only one academy and it is the largest academy in the country and also the most prestigious one. Many young talents wished to be enrolled in this school, but the academy only selects the best students among the masses.

Roan stood before the gates of Hyland Academy with a brilliant smile on his face. He decided to start his new life here, not as a student but as a teacher! Initially, he planned to apply as a student, but he changed his mind because of a minor problem…

The sword earring could only seal a portion of his power.

At this moment, he has the aura of a King-Grade fighter. Those who can reach this level are the elites of the country and they can apply for a higher position in the army.

In the Hyland Academy, even the best student is only a peak Warrior-Grade fighter so he would certainly cause a commotion if he enrolls as a student with his exposed power which was at the King-Grade

Roan is a peak Disaster-Grade fighter. The sword-shaped earring sealed a portion of his power, making him look like a King-Grade fighter.

He showed his I.D. to the guards at the entrance.

"Hello, Professor Roan! You must be the new teacher hired by the academy! Welcome!" The guards enthusiastically greeted him after looking at his I.D.

Roan smiled warmly at them. "Good morning!"

'They are too old so their blood probably tastes like cow dung.' He was disgusted to his core, but he maintained his fake smile. To successfully blend into this new world, he has to control his emotion and cravings.

He then excused himself and entered the academy.

He will be teaching swordsmanship to Year 1, Class A. This class has the best talents among the first year students and most of them come from illustrious backgrounds. He felt a bit excited at the thought of meeting the young students. He couldn't wait to have a taste of their blo- oops. He couldn't wait to teach them.

He checked the time in his watch.

He still has a few minutes before his class will start.

Roan searched for the classroom of Year 1, Class A.

After he arrived, he could already smell the delicious blo- he could already hear the chattering of his students. He pushed the door open and smiled at everyone.

"Hello, students! I am Professor Roan and I will be your Swordsmanship teacher." He scanned the students and his eyes lit up when he spotted a few pretty young ladies. Of course, he didn't allow his gaze to linger on them for long to avoid suspicions.

As a Vampire, his favorite meal is the blood of young virgins, but he couldn't casually suck blood now since he is hiding his identity as a Vampire. He could only force himself to buy blood in the blood banks. The taste is beyond disgusting, but he had no choice to but to deal with it.

"Everyone, please proceed to the open field. Oh, right. I almost forgot. Make sure that you wear your training uniforms if you are in my class. I'll wait for you in the open field. Be there within ten minutes." After saying that, Roan left the classroom.

"Is he really our teacher? He looks so young and handsome! I think he is only twenty years old…"

"I heard from the other teachers that Professor Roan is already a King-Grade fighter and he is only twenty-one this year! He is also the youngest teacher in the academy!"

The girls excitedly chatted about Roan, while the boys sneered in contempt. "Isn't he just handsome? I bet he doesn't even know how to use a sword."

They felt a bit jealous because their new teacher was getting all the ladies' attention.

Soon, the entire class arrived in the open field wearing their training uniforms.
