The sound of a clock tower rang out.
Pueris' eyes spazzed and shook in realization as an uncanny squelching sound began making its way around his innards.
Pueris' neck went limp, forcing his head down to accept reality.
The dirt below had been tainted a foul red and thin grueling streams of crimson ran down like a stream.
The sound of squelching continued as a red glove swerved like a race car among the lands of Pueris' chest.
Instinctively, Pueris attempted to breathe but his lungs had burst long before his mind had returned to the future.
There was no time to reflect upon the life that had flashed before his eyes.
Pueris could only let out a frail wheezing sound as his consciousness began to fade.
The sound of an arrogant, vexing voice sounded above him, muffled and faint.
"Well. That was pretty easy."
A hand slid out of Pueris' chest, taking with it a lot more than red rubber.
A feeling of hollowness shrieked from the middle of Pueris, every single vital organ had been ripped out and dragged onto the ground below Pueris' eyes.
Justice 7's eyes struggled to raise to look at Justice 7's unblemished figure.
"Hey."
Pueris' voice did not sound like his own but like that of a reaper. It felt like it had lost all its life.
"I'm not dead yet."
Justice 7's eyebrows rose at this development.
An odd red shimmer began to gather in his eyes.
"Don't worry, you'll be dead soon enough."
Justice 7 spoke like a messiah, he had not a single worry.
Pueris had no clue how he was still hanging on to the stringy, twisting rope of life.
But he tried to make the best of the moment, unsure of what would come next other than death.
But alas, death had missed its shot.
Pueris attempted to shoot his right arm for a jab but it was as if he had lost all connection to his body.
He could only move his head ever so weakly and frustratingly slowly.
Justice 7 closed his eyes on a second thought, although Justice 7 and Pueris stood side by side he was ready to end this sick act.
Readying his right arm, his fist clenched readily.
Soon, yellow thunder began to ripple from the core of his hand.
It engulfed his fist like a ravenous swarm and that swarm soon became an indescribable haze of striking lightning.
It was an ancient and primordial yellow that ripped apart the air around it like heavenly thunder.
Justice 7 walked in front of Pueris, his right fist still crashing down with thunder.
He pulled his right arm back, he wouldn't use force, just thunder.
"Goodbye."
And... so.
Thunder struck forth.
Bang.
A sound unbefitting of noble lightning rang out in recoil.
The humble thunder had summoned a sound like an object hitting a wall.
The fist of justice 7 had stopped right before Pueris.
There, it flourished and called forth thunder in its task but no matter how much lightning came forth, the fist of Justice 7 was still stopped by some kind of invisible barrier.
It was not time-control.
But rather a physical solid barrier.
One capable of stopping the strongest fist in the world.
Justice 7 began putting in some force, a feeling of strong distaste forming in his mouth. His fist clenched tightly as power crashed down his right arm instantly.
In a blur, his fist still covered in ancient thunder struck forth.
BOOM.
A small fissure formed on the invisible barrier.
A strange smile formed on Justice 7's face as his fist continued pressing into the barrier, the pressure clearly showing results.
Pueris could not even see the monstrosity before him as his neck was still limp.
As Justice 7's fist continued pushing forwards, something within Pueris changed.
The barrier was now seconds from breaking, the cracks were at the level where each blow did more damage than it would have previously.
Justice 7's fist could feel the barrier getting lighter.
In an unholy instant, Pueris' neck straightened out. It shot up like a bullet and Pueris met eyes with Justice 7.
Silver and Red.
Two fluorescent silver moons formed in both of Pueris' eyes, they began rotating outwards eerily as they got ever brighter.
They were such a fair touch to his previous voids that he had unmistakably changed.
Justice 7 did not mind for this strange appearance change and credited it to the strange barrier.
Forcing his fist forwards ever more, the barrier had one good hit in it left.
As Justice 7 broke through the barrier earlier than expected he chortled in blissful silence.
"You're gone, Silver-boy."
Pueris who was still staring directly into Justice 7 was helpless.
Soon, Justice 7's fist struck for the face.
Peunumb.
A distorting and unworldly sound shun down on Justice 7 and Pueris.
The world around the two began to vibrate intensely.
An effect of gravity.
Justice 7's fist was forced away from Pueris like two magnets were to be repelled.
Justice 7 attempted to attack Pueris but to no result as his arm was pushed further and further back with each attempt.
Justice 7 realized the time slipping and how his efforts were futile and began to power his eyes.
The thunder in his right fist that previously raged like Zeus with the stature of Chronos swiftly disapparated.
Pueris could only notice the faint shimmers of silver in the air and attribute them to the strange gravitational features occurring.
Pueris looked around nervously as he felts a strange sensation of rumbling below his feet.
Before he could check anything off in his mind, he was taken away by a silver storm.
FWOOSH.
A geyser of pure silver energy erupted and devoured the figure of Pueris gradually.
It corrupted the ground silver like rust within seconds.
Pueris' long white-wilted hair began flailing up, highlighting his silver-lit eyes.
The sound of armageddon ruptured Pueris' earbuds.
Pueris lost all vision as silver enthralled him and engulfed his figure like a typhoon.
The figure of Justice 7 and his seething eyes was but a memory as Pueris was warped in one shifting instant of godhood.
The roaring of silver halted.
All that remained was the fading reds in Justice 7's eyes that were too slow to release.
And the desolate state of London.
Pueris had escaped.
To the crepuscule of 2031 that is.
The sound of a clock tower rang out.
2031 had just revealed itself to the world.
Fireworks, firecrackers, and bonfires spat and roared in the skies of London.
London, whose skyscrapers pierced the clouds and stole the magnificence of the clear sea skies in one blatant sweep.
Colors of azure, burgundy, and void structured into menacing pillars of quality metal and artsy glass panes.
The people of London ran out of pubs in drunken madness.
Apartments lit up and others lit down.
Cheers ran through London like an infectious disease.
Cheers that all seemed to fade and falter before an odd street.
The street had no sign, indicating a name.
The ground was a mess of cobblestone and the houses were classy red brick copies of each other.
The houses had no garden's and there was only one person on the entire street. The occupants of the houses had run off to foreign countries in light of the holiday season.
The street was silent and seething with isolation.
At the very beginning of the street, there was a red-white blanket of cotton.
Half covered in that cotton blanket was a boy.
He had metallic white hair that reached his shoulders with some effort and the figure of someone around 12.
There seemed to be an attire of an old leather jacket and some strained black jeans.
The boy's hands were trembling.
Not from the cold that struck London from time to time but rather from disbelieving the reality before him.
The boy was Pueris.
Pueris from 2032.
"Ha?"
Pueris looked at his hands in shock.
He stood up before sitting down swiftly.
It wasn't a dream.
Pueris pinched himself to make sure of it.
"Gah."
It wasn't a dream.
Pueris looked around feeling cozy within himself.
He had truly survived.
Pueris then reckoned with his situation.
He was in London for the last segment of his life.
The 2031-2032 period.
There would be a year and possibly 3/4 before the events of London Lifeless were to be enacted.
There was a year and 3/4 before his untimely death.
From what he could see currently...
Pueris would soon be recruited into Red 0 by Rockfish, an -S- Rank Villain known among many cartels due to his pristine and illegal use of transporting goods around the continents through his ability of teleportation.
As he gleamed in all his luck, Pueris felt an odd tinge in his abdomen.
And then the tinge formed all over his back.
Frustrated, Pueris placed a soft pale hand over his abdomen and felt a soggy texture between the leather and something else.
Unzipping his jacket, Pueris saw a sight he did not wish to see.
Blood.
Lots of murky, black-red blood had swarmed his figure.
Pueris hadn't been injured in this place in the past.
Could it be?
"The price for time."
A mutter strung from Pueris' voice.
Pueris zipped his jacket back up.
As long as he got into Red 0 this could be healed.
The pain had turned up several notches but Pueris was certain as to how things would play out.
And just to his expectations, a blinding blue spotlight shone 10 meters down the street.
And a top-hatted man appeared.
