Chapter 1 - Last Stand Point -0-

Note from Author: Writing for fun, the start is probably gonna be a bit messy but I'll fill you in if you haven't read the synopsis.

Red 0 and Beta have fought, only 3 super-humans still stand after the clash between some of the most powerful Heroes and Villains.

Justice 7, Reta and Pueris.

Pueris is the protagonist of this story, to clear that up.

The next few chapters will just be the last fight between them all, before the fateful end comes and Pueris discovers his-.

Enjoy.

The sky was an uneasy golden tint that day. Seeming to have swallowed the sun whole as it drooped around.

"Citizens of the World, we are now zooming in on the last clash between -Beta- and Red -0-, It looks like -Beta's- Leader, Justice 7, can always be counted on. It should only be with a few more moves that this fateful battle that has decimated an estimated 93% of London will end."

An average-looking man, fixed with a ruffled suit and over-waxed black hair commentated on the scene for the camera next to him.

The reporter's words were muffled by the drowning sound of helicopter blades as the camera exposing the main stage to hundreds of millions of people around the Earth was held steadily by a crewmember.

The jet-black helicopter circled a disaster-struck London, it gradually got dangerously close to ground level since every single prestigious skyscraper had been leveled to no more than scrap-metal mounds hours ago.

As it turned and throttled forwards, the camera lens was swiftly wiped, revealing the final few minutes of a deafening battle.

Two figures opposed each other in the deepest crater on the battlefield. Their surroundings had deformed into a fixture of brown from the constant craters formed with each ability.

The first figure seemed quite casual and unbothered, yet at the same time fixed to his duty as a hero.

He was covered in a tight blue suit, fixed with red gloves and red socks. There was a noticeable mustard J symbol puffed out on his chest. Despite the mighty demeanor of his suit, the wearer was no older than 18.

He had the tame face of an average high school boy. Sullen black hair that squashed down and had been split at the front and a body that belonged to one that might've occasionally done some sports. No muscles contracted through the tight blue-red suit. There were no imperfections on his face however it looked as though his entire face had encountered a bad case of Vitiligo since it looked unusually pink.

Known by everyone, he was the 7th Legacy of Justice on modern Earth. The one who led the heroes and culled the Villains.

Justice 7.

Reflected in Justice 7's marron eyes was 2032's most recent top-shot Villain, Reta.

Reta... wasn't looking his best.

His once smooth dark-burgundy cloak had been tattered and now revealed several flaccid and pale pigments of skin through the tears.

Only his refined rose-red hood which connected to his cloak had stayed untouched. Hero code N.677 stated that heroes should not aim for the head.

Underwhelmingly, his figure shook behind his glowing demon mask.

The two horns that had previously struck fear into all that recognized them had been cut from the top, causing an image of defeat to emerge from Reta.

The white glow from his mask flickered and one could see traces of his true blood-red eyes from time to time.

Over time, viewers from home noticed a negligible layer of blood seeping into the ground beneath Reta.

Jungle32: Is that blood coming from Reta?

Dynamotie2: Look at Reta's horns!

Deumo: Reta's got it rough.

DungoL3: @Jungle32 I just noticed!

Shockingly, in the current moment, many showed absolute ignorance of the tragedy of 93% of London. They were thirsty for a good villain-hero confrontation.

Not once in his entire career had Justice 7 been significantly injured.

Everybody wanted to see the last cards that Reta had up his sleeve.

Despite all the mishaps and eagerness from overseas and abroad, the two fighters had developed quite an irregular atmosphere.

"Why don't we just end this? Reta? You haven't even pushed me to use my force control."

Justice 7 held back a yawn as he started doing some basic stretches.

"I'm waiting."

Reta's voice was far deeper and coarse than Justice 7 who seemed like he had just woken up. His eyes darted from side to side despite the avoidance of anything but the derelict state of London.

Justice 7 shrugged off his reply before going into a bit of a trance.

"It really is laughable. Is it not? The mere fact that you used to shove me around with your little man-hands. And now?"

"You can't even scratch me."

Justice 7 chuckled to himself.

His eyebrows furrowed as he noticed Reta's unaffected figure.

Justice 7 felt a bit of a lump in his throat.

"What's wrong? You can't ignore the past. The past is the only thing keeping you alive right now."

"Drey."

Justice 7 let out a subtle and practiced whistle as his stance remained straight and his feet stuck to the ground.

From the skies, the camera crew looked back at each other puddled and relatively worried.

As the Helicopter continued making various loops around the scene, viewers seemed to be... complaining?

David223: Why is it taking so long? Just fight already.

Jerulfox: Boring.

Lucaihdfiah: This angle is terrible. Get lower.

The reporter cleared his throat before going into yet another line of script given to him by a higher-up.

"Well, for all of our new listeners, the final clash is soon to take place. We, the news anchor you can always count on, Dutreul News are currently circling the scene alone. Risking our lives we show you no-delay footage of monumental events like these. If you want more news..."

The reporter's wish wash had grown so stale that his voice faded out for most viewers at this point.

Meanwhile, on the ground...

Justice 7 sighed with frustration creasing his expression.

"When are we going to fight? You know it'll look bad if I make the first move."

Reta lifted his head up slightly, his hood almost slipped but he gripped it back down from flash-instinct.

"I'm waiting."

Justice 7 watched in irritation as his right hand twitched irresistibly.

"Well then." Justice 7 twisted his neck around loosely, a faint crack sprung out.

"Who are you waiting for?"

For a split second, the lights on the demon mask on Reta's face malfunctioned, allowing the two to hold a moment of treacherous eye contact.

"Him."

A low and rigid click unwinded.

Dung.

A deafening shot rang out.

A gun vibrated solemnly.

Silence ensued.

Next to the figure of Justice 7, a short boy, no older than 13 with shoulder-length hair that seemed like metallic white. His face was unnaturally pale and his eyes had silver pupils. The only thing from his figure that didn't represent silver was his void pupils and his shredded grey cloak that matched Reta's in style.

His face was flawless but the expression presented was that of distress.

His right arm was still pointed upwards, to the eye of Justice 7. Smoke rang out from an entirely white gun. It had the features of an ordinary pistol however it had been sized down to fit his childish hand.

His arm trembled as Justice 7's head slowly turned to meet his eyes.

A faint clink rang out as the bullet fired hit a small piece of shrapnel in a metal mound behind Justice 7.

"Sorry. Was that supposed to have hit me?"

Justice 7 examined the new entree.

"Pueris."

Pueris gulped uncomfortably.

He had seen it all. Through his Chronos Eye that painfully slowed down his vision, he had seen the scene which he had predicted and subsequently feared.

In an inhumane instance, Justice 7 utilized his famed teleportation to briefly swap in and out.

Allowing the bullet to continue its path calmly.

And then he returned.

And now they were here.

Pueris' body was screaming at him to run away but he couldn't.

He felt that if he attempted to flee now, his body would get snapped in half in an instant.

As the 3 stood in tension, the live-feed frenzied.

BoyJanuel: Did Pueris just try to shoot Justice 7 with a gun?

323hafsjh: The disrespect is crazy.

Unknown: When did that guy appear?

Dumen2: It was worth a try lmao

Reta eyed Pueris and his unfortunate decision.

"Don't worry Pueris, he won't do anything crazy."

He nudged his shoulder towards the now-still helicopter hovering to their left.

Pueris looked and nodded meekly.

It seemed strange that the -S- Rank Villains were the ones being pressured and careful in a situation like this.

Justice 7 looked around at the surroundings and the two criminals mockingly.

"How about we test that?"

There was a spice of malice in his tone.

Setting his vision directly on the small Pueris, he easily made direct eye contact.

"Bye."

Beum.

A luminescent line of red that seemed to be consumed by white shot out in an instant from Justice 7's eyes.

Reta's drained figure almost sprung forward, but with a longer gaze, it slowly pulled itself back.

Although Pueris' head should've been a bloody shell by now, the beam was traveling ever so slowly through the segment of space just before Pueris. One could see it bridging the gap subtly and gradually. Pueris seemed to be under pressure, holding his willpower to keep the time slowed in the area before him despite the tremendous heat force radiating from the beams.

Justice 7 sighed. Two continuous violet-lit red beams still shooting out from his eyes.

"That frustrating time-ability."

He shut his eyes, a layer of hot red still seeping through his eyelids.

Pueris shifted his head to the right swiftly before letting go of the time constraint.

Ssssss.

A faint seething sound rang out as two deep-red beams shot forwards in an instant.

Two small but stretched holes had been carved in the metal mound behind Pueris. Allowing one to see a golden-set shade.

Pueris looked back concerned before watching for Justice 7's next move alongside Reta.

Justice 7 merely began twisting his neck around and around, and an unsettling chorus of cracks began snapping in the heavy air.

"This is why I don't like this ability. The more I use it, the stiffer my neck feels."

He pointed at his neck with one finger while chortling to himself.

"See? Fine now."

Pueris could only feint half a reaction-.

BEUM.

Two decimating pillars of impalpable white, infringed by red roared outwards from two hard-red-infested eyes.

They consumed and devoured the metal mounds behind them.

It looked as though Pueris hadn't even attempted to defend these. Whether or not he had reacted in time was a different matter.

Reta covered his mask with a weakened arm as he felt the temperature in the surroundings get dangerously higher.

Eerily, there was no sound of armageddon or a tiger's battle siren.

Just a deadly seething sound wept in the air.
