Camilie was scratching her head as she paced up and down for a minute. Her obsession was getting deeper and deeper to the point of consuming her.
How to deal with this? She could either call to find a way to speak to Leif's mother and enlighten her on her new daughter in law's croaked personality or she could tell Leif directly which she threw out of the window immediately. That man's personality was that of a person that couldn't be approached.
After making a few phone calls to some women who were always up to date with gossip she decided to find out some important pieces of information.
It turned out that Leif was being urged to marry due to his grandfather's will on the inheritance. This meant only one thing. Their relationship wasn't genuine but most likely an agreement. She had to find evidence of this and if she wanted to ruin Quinn she would have to go to the old lady of the Bardin family and let her know that she was being played.
The smile that had long disappeared on her face suddenly brightened up again. She couldn't believe Amalie had almost gotten into bed with the Bardin family. Unfortunately for her sister that wasn't going to happen.

Quinn had no idea that she was being plotted against. She was busy going through her cell phone chatting with her mother about some random things while eating popcorn and drinking a slushy. She already knew it was close to dinner time and Leif would be doing the cooking today but she didn't care.
This was all part of her revenge. When the elevator door opened, Leif stepped inside his expression as stiff as ever but from his shoulders, she could tell he was in a relaxed mood.
The reason he was relaxed was that when he got back he found Quinn home and from her expression, she seemed not as upset as he thought she would be.
He walked up to where she was sitting and he took off his suit jacket but she didn't even look at him. She was still on her phone smiling like he was non-existent. He was about to say something but he decided not to in the end. He put away his suit jacket and entered the spotless kitchen and rolled up his sleeves while looking back at her.
He decided to make a mushroom and parmesan fillet for her served with a side of wilted spinach and some parmesan fries. He knew she liked it a lot and thought it would make up for the whole leftover fiasco.
He could never admit it but he seriously needed Quinn and if she got angered by him and left, it would make solving the problem a whole harder.
He knew that this was coming years ago but he just couldn't tolerate anyone even if the relationship was arranged. Quinn was the best candidate and his cousin mentioned something about coaxing her. It is either he coaxed her with money or food. Money, he had already given to her so the only thing left was food.
Quinn sat slumped on the couch looking like a salted fish as she took out her popcorn stash and continued eating. She started binge watching a love series her mother recommended.
Her mother had mentioned something about learning how to love properly et cetera, et cetera… She didn't bother listening to the rest. She wanted to learn how to fake being a couple in public so that she could convince the old grandmother that they weren't faking it.
Some would argue that she shouldn't be too much into the act but this had a lot to do with her money and she wasn't going to mess with that. She already had dreams of where she was going to go with her mother. Maybe they could stay on the shores of Zanzibar drinking from a coconut every day or maybe they could stay in the Caribbean islands and live a worry free life.
Like a raccoon on a nightly hunt for food, Quinn's fingers that were about to shove some popcorn in her mouth paused catching a waft of the delicious food.
She suddenly swallowed her saliva and almost broke down in tears. She wanted to give Leif a taste of his own medicine but this task was going to be very hard.
In a last ditch effort to encourage herself, she shoved the popcorn in her mouth and took a huge gulp of the slushy. Ten minutes later she heard a livid voice asking, "What are you doing?"
Quinn didn't turn her head. Instead, she answered perfunctorily, " Watching," her gaze focused on the female lead who was pretending to be upset with the male lead.
"I know you are watching. What I am asking is why are you eating? You can't eat here," he said before grabbing the packet of popcorn and slushy that was dripping condensation on his coffee table. Granted it was on a coaster but that didn't stop it from dripping.
Quinn watched Leif grab her things and with no further discussion he threw the slushy down the sink and washed down the sticky icy fluid drain with a powerful water spray.
He then proceeded to throw her half eaten bag of popcorn and slushy cup in the bin. Quinn's eyes widened as she pressed the tip of her tongue on her cheek suppressing something.
Leif said one syllable which was, "Eat," before setting the table.
Quinn watched on as he placed the plate in front of her. She didn't want to look at the food thus she looked at his hand but after seeing that exposed arm after he rolled up his sleeves, she didn't want to look anymore.
She was a sucker for bulging veins on a man's arm and seeing that Leif had them she couldn't help but look back at the exquisite dinner plate.
She subconsciously swallowed while messing about with her cutlery. The intense smell of gunpowder was incredibly choking but Quinn wasn't at all terrified. She knew Leif's bottom line thus she was confident she won't be sleeping with the fishes any time soon.
