Chapter 37 - Furry fan

It's just that when he saw that gorgeous woman just now he was thrown off his bearing. He had seen a lot of beautiful women before but there was something special about her that drew his attention.

Being an unlucky star when it came to love he didn't even bother to ask for her number. But even now his heart was still throbbing.

"Let's go," he said and the vehicle drove past the limousine. He subconsciously stared at the window but because it was closed he couldn't see her. His mood suddenly plummeted but whose fault was it that he didn't even try and get her number?

Meanwhile, the ladies in the limo were squealing like pigs after seeing a tasty snack. Who would have thought they would have met such a handsome man? A man so dazzling that they couldn't even bother keeping it in their pants.

Amalie's heart was still beating so fast from that encounter or maybe it was from the alcohol. Quinn who noticed she was a little too quiet asked, "Mum what's wrong?"

Amalie pushed back her hair behind her ear and said, "No, It's nothing. Don't worry," before taking a long sip of her champagne.

The limo pulled out of the road and when the attendant of the nightclub opened the door for them Quinn was met with an amazing scene.

It was a high-end nightclub with a bright red carpet and crystal chandeliers hanging on the ceiling.

"How did you....?" she asked only for Kaya to interrupt her.

"Didn't auntie tell you about my nephew who won the lottery a few years ago? He bought this place and renovated it. It's no longer a cheap nightclub but a high-end one with an exclusive clientele. Some coaxing and a few cupcakes was all it took to get a booking," she said.

Quinn didn't like partying much but she still thanked Kaya for her generosity. "Let's go have some funnnn!!" yelled Doris as she grabbed Quinn's hand and dragged her along. They entered the elevator and were directed to a private room with a large screen on the small stage and a bar with all kinds of liquor.

When they entered they found a man wiping glasses at the bar. He turned to look at them and showed a charming smile while calling, "Auntie Kaya. What took you so long?" said the young handsome man with a sunny smile.

"We got stopped by a dashing police officer and almost got arrested," she said before kissing her nephew on both cheeks with a smile reaching her eyes.

"Hello aunties...," he said and waved at Amalie and Doris before his gaze fell on the young woman who was as beautiful as a goddess transcended from the heavens.

This must be Quinn. Hello, my name is Aiden. It's a pleasure meeting you," he said and his heart stirred for a moment. It was truly a pity that she was no longer on the market.

"Hie, nice meeting you too," replied Quinn and Kaya gently pinched Aiden's cheek while asking,

"Why are you here? I thought you would take the day off today," she asked. Her nephew owned the nightclub but he was still so involved in daily operations to ensure success.

"I will be your bartender today and make sure to usher this lady out of singlehood safely," he said and directed them to sit down.

With soft music playing in the background, the ladies who had come prepared began to give gifts to the bride to be. A few attendants brought in colourful bags at Aiden's request. Thinking of the amount of time these ladies had to prepare, Quinn didn't really expect much. Either she didn't expect much or she really didn't want much. That's because she had lied about her relationship with Leif and would feel very bad if they gave her a lot of things.

Unfortunately for her, her aunties and mother wanted to compensate her for not having a lot of time to prepare. They would have loved to take her out of the country and have a bachelorette somewhere with a beach and light blue ocean waters.

Since none of her mother's friends had daughters they really took her as their own so of course, they went all out. Quinn had to drink more to suppress the guilt as she noticed the Rolex watch, diamond necklace set and expensive perfumes.

"A married woman should look nice, smell nice and be irresistible to her husband," said Doris while pushing back Quinn's hair.

Amalie sucked on her straw with a creepy smile on her face and Quinn had a very bad premonition. Sure enough when she set her glass down Amalie said, " Then let's burn those onesies. They have to go... all of them."

"No, not my babies," she said and Kaya laughed while saying,

"Especially the panda one. That one has to go. Each time I visited her place on her day off she always wears it."

"That's top on the list. Mum will trade you the panda onesie for this," said Amalie pulling out a sleazy looking nightdress.

Blushing from the alcohol, Quinn exclaimed. "Fuck, is that even a piece of clothing. Where do my arms and legs go?"

"Here, I will demonstrate," said a tipsy Doris while taking it from Amalie.

"You put it on like this," she said putting it over her clothes. The seethrough fabric barely covered anything.

"It's for easy access. Free access to the gates of Valhalla," said Doris while twirling showing off the night dress.

The three of them laughed happily the atmosphere free and joyous. Amalie turned to Aiden who was smiling at the bar and asked,

"Aiden, as a man what's your opinion? The cosy panda or this," he said and Doris performed a twirl.

Aiden let out a soft chuckle before saying, "That one. Onesies are good if we are just cuddling but they are an obstruction when it's urgent."

"Aha, you see. The panda has to go," said Amalie regretting not bringing it so it can retire once and for all.

"Maybe Leif likes it. Maybe he is a furry fan," said Kaya and everyone burst out laughing except Quinn.

"Wha what's a furry?" she asked and three older women acted all mysterious.
