"Are you done?", I ask Arnav as I complete my paper
"Almost"
"This is not gonna work you have to be fast, don't you know time management"
"I was on time its your fault you sent me to fetch water in between!"
"So that was for like 5 sec"
"No then you also asked me to give you your resource book"
"Your point?"
"My point being that it took 15 mins to search 1 book because you had it hidden away! I don't even understand why would you hide it if you have to refer it every now and then"
"Yaa I hide it so that its not easy to reach because if it will take time then I myself will not want to waste time in searching for it"
Arnav looks at me as if I have lost my mind
"It is a foolproof method don't look at me like that!"
"I really need to talk to some mental hospital doc"
"For yourself? Please do it will be worth it"
"Shut up I am finished now what do you want to do"
"I was thinking doing other subject"
"NOOO Please Devi! Let me have a break"
"So when did I ask you to study with me?"
"Oh right makes sense, still come let's have a break I am tired!"
Lazy lazy brat never wants to study only, I mumble and say "Fine come we will go to terrace, watch the sunset then straight back down for studying cool?"
"Yess perfect come!!", he says excited and takes my speaker with him too to play songs
We go upstairs and sit at the edge of the walls, I know not exactly safe but what to do there is no place else where we get this awesome view and also the ledge is a bit broad because of design so no one has ever fallen down from up here yet.
"So peaceful", I hear him mumble to himself after sometime as we are both silent.
"Yeah", I say and look at the bird flying over us
"They are so lucky right, go wherever you want to without any restrictions and responsibilities just flying away in a group or alone no one cares"
"What happened?", Arnav senses my mood and asks while holding my cold hand in his warn one.
"Nothing, oh look the sky is changing its colors now its pink", I attempt to divert the topic.
"Devi", he says in a fake stern voice "Why do you even try that when you know I won't leave the topic now"
I can't handle it anymore and one tear drop falls from my eye.
"O my god Devi what happened why are you crying, did someone say you something?"
"No Arnav it's very silly don't worry" I don't even know why I am crying it is seriously very silly
"Nothing is silly if that makes you cry come here", he says and hugs me and caresses my hair to calm me down
"Now say what happened, do I need to beat someone up"
"God no!", I exclaim with a small smile
"Actually Mummy and Papa were talking yesterday about my studies and all, like I told them to moving out and going abroad right earlier when I was talking about my future plans"
"Hmm I remember and they told you they will think about it did they agree, is that why you are crying- about leaving them?"
"The opposite actually", I say with a bitter laugh, "They think I am not responsible enough to go abroad by myself" and cry harder
