"Shhh, don't speak" Teo whispered at his phone before he were to answer at whoever was at the other side of his door, "Who is it?" He was sweating cold thinking it was his brother.
To his relief it was his best friend's voice what he heard, "Memo. Dinner is almost ready come out soon, man. I'll distract your brother so he doesn't come but don't know how long that'll take me. You know how stubborn he can be"
Teo loved his brother being so caring but being the worrywarth he was could be a pain sometimes, "Buy me a minute, dude! I'll be there soon."
He said as his friend walked away, Josh observed quietly as that voice wasn't too familiar or at least none of the individuals who came to pick Teo to bring him back to his house.
"I'll call you tomorrow. Sweet night" the latter said with a smile worried his brother might walk in, he did not want to say goodbye yet he had no choice.
"Sleep tight" Josh sent him a flying kiss through the screen, keeping his enquiries for a later date when they get more time, noticing the distraught face painting the younger's features.
They cut the video call at the same time with a heavy heart letting out a loud sigh.
Josh sighed as he clutched the deviced close to his heart, a storm unveiling in the sea of his heart, eyes closed as he replayed Teo's smile and the screenshots he took when the younger reacted to his teasing.
On the other hand the latter gripped his phone, screaming into the pillow whilst he mumbled a dozen of curse words, a cyclone forming in the deepest of his heart which he couldn't name.
"Get yourself together." He said to himself up as he got up from bed, tucking his phone in his back pocket, making his way out of the bedroom.
Teo his brother and friends enjoyed the meal, he also noticed the newcomer, Jake, was staying with them which intrigued him to know why, but he refrained to talk to his brother as he didn't want to be interrogated either so he kept his questions to himself about what happened in the old city.
Going back to the old town, Josh got ready for bed staring at the empty side of the bed, he pulled up the duvet to cover his chest, holding one of the pillows.
He fast dialed one of his marine friends, Luiggi, to ask for his motorbike to use for a day or two.
The man agreed saying he would borrow it to him for as long as he needed to bringing it in his car by the morning which was more than he expected.
He also asked him to keep the place where he's staying at as a secrets.
You might ask why his mother couldn't find him with his phone number, well, she did not have the number she saved in her contacts under his name, she had an old device he kept at home because he did not like her intrusive self which tried to control every bit of his life.
Back to Josh, he set his phone on bed, opened the gallery and stared at one of the screenshots he took when he called Teo, a picture where the boy was blushing up to his neck was the last thing he looked at before sleep claimed his exhausted body, thinking about goldy locks, the boy who now turned into his lock screen.
The same boy was doing the dishes after everyone was done with dinner as his best friend sat on the counter, curious to know why his friend was quiet..
"I thought you'd be happy after talking to your sweetheart" he grinned when Teo threw a dead glare his way.
"The heck you mean?" The taller blonde scrubbed a pot avoiding his piercing gaze.
"You even planned a date, I'm proud of you" his friend smiled smugly giving him thumbs up.
Teo gasped as he just realized his friend was eavesdropping his conversation with Josh, his blood run cold as he hoped he hadn't listened their whole conversation.
He ran fast to cover his friend's mouth with his hand full of dish soap.
"Keep it low, dumbo" he whispered, not wishing anything to leak out or he could say more than necessary.
Jimeno whined as he couldn't talk nor protest or he would be swallowing soap so he punched his Teo's arm to get him away from himself.
Teo apologized as he noticed how he got his friend's face covered in foam, holding back a laugh, "Sorry, pal. Just don't mention that out here" he still scolded his friend.
"You ain't sorry at all. Just tell me to shut up like a normal person would do it. I don't eat soap!" The shorter male protested as Teo pouted.
The shorter male wiped his mouth which caused Teo let out a soft chuckle, trying to play fool "As if you were to hush just by asking. Anyhow, I need a favor to ask you"
As his friend knew half his plans already he could as well bring up his plan to fullfill his execution.
This perked up at the shorter male's curiosity, "It better not be something foolish" he warned at his best friend.
"Lose care. It's pretty simple, I need a coverage to avoid Ramon tagging along" his infamous square grin made an apparition as he stared at his best friend.
"Why would he do that?" Jimeno asked, wary of his friend's oddly happy reaction, squinting his eyes at Teo who tensed up under that tough gaze.
"You know how overprotective he is and didn't seem to like the idea of me going missing" he raked a hand through his messy golden locks as he looked down, hoping his friend agreed with his plan.
The shorter blonde nodded his head, crossing his arms as he spoke, "Fine. Just a little favor back. Don't be so clingy or you'll make me sick" aiming at his friend who feigned ignorance.
Teo sulked with pouty lips and a small frown, "I'm not clingy, don't accuse me" his tone carrying a whine because deep down he knew that'd be something he couldn't help himself as his inside twisted in anticipation just picturing Josh's face in his mind.
The suspicious man narrowed his eyes further into slits, shaking his head, "No fair. Do you have any idea how cruel is inviting a single person to a date with a couple of love birds? It's gon' be a torture"
Teo flickered his fingers as he came up with a plan, "how about a double date?"
Jimeno widened his eyes not understanding yet not liking the way his friend's eyes shone.
"Timoteo, I'm telling ya." He couldn't finish his threat when the younger cut him off midsentence.
"I'll call Jack to keep you company!" He said those words which were like a slap straight to his face.
"NO! Why would you-"
Teo wiggled his eyebrows, grinning, "so you wouldn't feel lonely and, who knows, maybe you'd come clean and confess to him" he stated bluntly.
Jimeno paled, shaking his head in negation vigorously one could think his head was going to snap off at any moment now.
"I knew your ideas were bad with a terrible execution but I didn't expect you could go beyond the unbelievable" he pointed at Teo as if his friend would have betrayed him.
"C'mon! Being in a dark enclosed place might perfect so you be open about your feelings about him" within his intentions of using his friend as curtain he also wanted to see his friend happy, almost as much as he was.
"I've gone to cinema teather with him thousand times and nothing had happened. What makes you think this time it'd be different?" Crossing his arms, judging Teo's plan to get him together with his crush.
"Welp, Maybe if he sees this is a couple date he might get the hint" he said with a duh tone, shrugging his shoulders eyeing the shorter as if he couldn't see what he did.
"Not happening. Also what says he's not going to run off to tell Ramon about your idyllic romance with your charming prince?"
Teo pursued his lips as he frowned, "your job is to convince him and making him forget about us but set all his attention on yourself"
Jimeno facepalmed himself noticing how stubborn his friend was acting, knowing he wasn't willing to listen when he became like that.
"Do I have a choice?" He sighed.
Teo shook his head, grinning, flipping in an instant as a big grin covered his face, "Nope!"
"You're disgusting" he complained when Teo hugged him, giggling, his friend's happiness was what made him play into this silly little plan of his even though he was nervous about anything might happen.
After doing the dishes they went back to Teo's room as Jimeno tends to sleep in the same bed as his friend, what they didn't noticed is a white shadow heard half of their plan with a fond smile.
The two best friends talked until they fell asleep, both of them sprawled on bed as if they would have been knocked out.
