The royal guards were quite efficient, they quickly drove the greedy Madame Gertrude away that Eve chuckled as she watched over Ezriel's shoulder. The Alpha glanced at the woman in his arms and opened his mouth.
"Is it funny?" He asked her as he climbed into the carriage with her in his embrace.
"I have not seen Madame Gertrude run that fast" she blurted out and chuckled, her golden orbs shaped into a brilliant twinkling star. She did not look like a slave who had just been sold at all but a carefree young lady.
She was just the same as the last time, others cower in his presence but she was different and he liked it that way. The universe eventually brought him his fated half, he did not need her to fear him like the others.
Eve raised her head from his chest and looked at him with her sharp golden eyes. "You will be the first person that ever cheated Madame Gertrude, she will never forgive you" she kindly reminded him and sighed dramatically.
