The crowd of journalists swarms the entrance right after Maura leaves, echoing their questions at a high pitch, shoving their cameras at the couple's faces, like they're some kind of criminals.
Meanwhile, unlike those two who were being pressured with questions, Maura enjoys her limousine cruise as she hums a befitting tune of 'we are the champions' to herself.
After a couple of minutes on the road, her car comes to an abrupt halt, causing Maura to hit her head against the seat as she bounces back and forth.
"What happened?" She asks the driver.
However, before the man can even answer, Maura chokes on her spit.
Up ahead, she sees a familiar figure walking towards the limousine, before that person could even reach her, a stiff Maura unlocks the door.
Before Maura, Neon stands, looking down at her with furry eyes that make her gulp in fear.
"Darl…"
"Get out of the car," Neon says, cutting her word short, his face has red flags written all over, his teeth tightly grinning upon the other as he speaks from the space in between, "right now."
At this very moment, Maura knows better than to anger him.
"Yes sir," she answers in a rush as she grabs her purse, running out of the limousine like a squirrel on heels.
Right before the limousine, a train of cars lines up, causing havoc after cornering Maura's vehicle.
Cars honking, people whispering, lights flashing, eyes and phones watching as a spectacular scene happens, no one needed to tell the other that the couple were wealthy, it was written all over.
Maura, apparently receives her share of drama as she pouts, stomping forward while Neon tips the driver, as he signals his men to back away, clearing up the road.
As he turns, he finds Maura counting her steps as she murmurs to herself.
An irritated Neon walks forward, catching up to Maura. He takes her by the arm, tightly gripping her as he walks towards his Bugatti Centodieci.
Once they reach, he throws her inside and angrily slams the door, then gets in from the other side, and then starts driving.
*****
"How could you have done something so irresponsible," Neon asks as soon as he shuts the entrance door.
Apparently throughout the drive, Neon has been silent.
Rather than return to the hotel, he goes straight home, driving non-stop for five hours, and Maura has been shrinking with fear as she prays for her life on the road and for his anger to quell.
Unfortunately for her, none of that happens, as Neon explodes the moment they reach their home.
Maura fearfully steps back as an angry Neon walks towards her.
Her eyes constantly scan the area for a road to escape, but she realises she's at a dead end as she backs up to a wall.
Cold sweat-like tears stroll down her face as she nervously smiles.
"Well you see, since you said I couldn't go until I was fully recovered then I…"
"Are you kidding me?" Neon yells loudly, freighting her so much that she flinches and jumps in the process.
"Stop acting like a child, and you don't even have a phone with you," he says.
Then he takes a deep breath in, like a vacuum sucking all the air in, and he says in a low distressed voice, "Do you even know how…"
"I'm sorry." She apologizes at once, not allowing Neon to finish his words.
He looks at her with disappointment. "Well keep that apology to yourself, because you're grounded."
"What?!" She can hardly believe her ears as the words echo inside her head.
"You're not leaving this house until I say so," he repeats himself.
"But you can't do this, I'm a grown woman."
"Oh yeah, well I just did, you're grounded, and don't come into our room until you've understood what you've just done."
An angry Neon climbs up, shaking his head as he tsk, while Maura stares at his back as she watches him enter this room.
"Hey."
To Maura she sees this as Neon expressing his anger, to Neon, on the other hand, it's a great excuse to avoid sleeping in the same room with a total stranger, but Maura doesn't know that now does she?
