"Now it is time to announce our club." Kira pointed out.
"Okay! I'm ready!" Suta then entered the classroom with a smile, "Greetings everyone, my name is Hoshi Suta from class 1-B! It just so happens that I'm going to start a new club called Idol club! For anyone who is interested, you can come to me or my friend, Kousei Kira!"
One class after another they entered, and Suta promoted the new themed club to each class relentlessly. From their class, to other classes, to upperclassmen. She continued to promote it cheerfully.
Until eventually, they finished promoting the club and rested in the middle of the park alone with Kira.
Suta was very optimistic that there would be many people who wanted to join his new club. Because Idol is something that has been on the rise recently. Everyone wanted to be an idol whether from a small or big agency.
But Suta didn't know that her school was just an ordinary school. Not a school that was interested in idol stuff.
Even after they promoted their new club with great effort, from visiting one class to another, asking for permission to put posters on the wall magazine, to asking teachers to find students who were interested in Idol, Suta did not find a single student who wanted to join them.
Instead...
"Look, it's them who want to make an Idol club"
"Very unyielding, what is there to be proud of in Idol? Aren't they just someone who sings and dances in front of everyone?"
"It's just like a circus animal."
They estranged Kira and Suta even more than they already were. Kira was grateful that Suta didn't seem to hear the mockery, because while they were mocking her, Suta was cheerfully organizing her schedule for the week ahead.
'Or, don't tell me that she heard it and pretend that she didn't?' Kira thought. Considering how tough Suta was, it was no wonder that she behaved as if she hadn't heard the taunts from the other students. Suta still had plenty of spirit and ego, as if if she heard the taunts of the people around her, she didn't care about it.
"Manager~ It seems like no one is interested in joining our Idol club~ How is this?" Suta's voice dragged as she was sad and disappointed that there were still no students coming to them.
"Just be patient, the opportunity will come at the right time. If you can't be patient in waiting, the things you want will be wasted when you don't even know if they will come or not." Kira said as he devoured her food. "It's better for you to know the bitter truth than to have a shadow of regret because you were impatient in making a decision."
Suta saw Kira calmly devouring his meal, and on the other hand, she was speechless after hearing Kira's words.
"You're very mature, Manager."
"Life has given me experience." he said calmly.
Laughing softly, Suta was again amused by her manager. "You're like an old man, Manager. I'm not kidding." She then burst out laughing. Seeing Suta laughing and brightening up, Kira felt calmer and a glimpse of smile crossed Kira's face.
"Shut up, idiot."
"Hey, don't call me an idiot!"
"Then, Stupid~ Dummy~"
"I am neither stupid nor dummy!" She pouted. "Manager is the stupid one!"
"Oh no, then why don't you find another genius Manager? I am willing to step down as your manager"
"Hey, hey, you know that I am joking, right? I'm not willing to get a manager other than you." Suta's mood suddenly changed to annoyance because of Kira's words. It could be seen from the wrinkles on her forehead and the rapidly changing tone of her speech because there was no cheerfulness at all in her words. Kira did not expect that Suta would say such a sentence even though Kira had known from the beginning that Suta was just joking.
Kira then turned her face towards Suta and looked her directly in the eyes. Guiltily, Kira apologized to her. "I'm sorry, was my joke too much?"
Kira herself didn't know why he was apologizing. Was it just a pleasantry? Or did he already consider Suta as a friend so he was afraid of losing her? One thing was for sure, she needed to apologize right then and there or he might regret it in the future.
"Don't ever joke about going away from me, ever." Suta said.
Suta said it sincerely, evident from her very blank gaze. For a moment, her eyes looked like they were directed towards Kira, but it was only a gaze full of emptiness and also a speck of hope. An empty gaze that was meaningful.
But just after saying that, Suta realized her sentence. It was usually a sentence spoken by a couple, where even Suta and Kira themselves were just friends or perhaps, business partners.
"I- I mean, don't even joke about resigning as my manager, okay? D-Don't misunderstand me!"
But... "What misunderstanding?" Kira tilted his head, a puzzled look on his face. He really did not understand what Suta was talking about, although he recognized that Suta really did not want Kira to leave her alone to pursue her dreams. Because at this moment, Kira was the only one by her side.
Having someone by your side in your time of need is a gift from God. Who wouldn't want someone to support you wholeheartedly until you reach your goal? Being guided by someone from crawling, walking, and even running to pursue your dreams. If there is someone like that in your life, never leave them and stay with them, because they are just angels in human form.
However, Suta with a flushed face replied, "FORGET IT ALL!!! I-I'm going to get a drink first!"
Kira was surprised by Suta's shout. But when Suta stood up and went to buy a drink, Kira knew that Suta was no longer angry with him.
"Thank goodness." Kira let out a sigh of relief.
But while Kira was still staring at Suta from afar, suddenly someone came up to Kira, and asking him woke him up from his reverie, "Um... You, from the Idol club, right?"
"Ah, you're right. Is there anything I can help you with?"
A woman with short pink hair. Her face was extremely sweet with a slightly small head proportion making her look adorable. Not only her face, her height was much shorter than Kira, and sure enough, when he stood up to greet her with politeness, it was seen that the height of the female student only reached Kira's shoulders. Looking at the girl reminded Kira of a dog that was wagging its tail and looking at Kira adorably.
If Kira thought that Suta was a beautiful, gorgeous woman. A woman full of elegance in every movement and words, 'Adorable' was the right word to describe the girl in front of Kira. Honestly, Kira's eyes were glued to someone for the second time when he saw her. Because the first time was when he saw Suta at first glance
"I'm... interested in joining your club." She replied.
Kira was a little surprised because he didn't expect anyone to be eager to join the new club. He had thought that the school was just an ordinary school that might not be interested in Idol things, but when he saw the cute girl, Kira thought that minority was not an impossibility.
"I'm glad there's finally someone who's going to join this club," Kira smiled as he handed over the enrollment form.
The girl took it with a blush, her eyes not daring to look at Kira directly making Kira feel uncertain and pondered whether this was the right choice or not.
Idols are a group of people who perform in front of the crowd, they are a group of passionate people and can also be considered as a public figure for society in general. Always smiling, kind, respectful of others, optimistic, confident and talented. A pretty face and good body proportions are just a bonus for them. The most important thing is that they dress neatly so that they are pleasing to the eye and can also be a good example for young people.
But...
When Kira looked at the shy girl... And muttered, 'Is being cute enough to be an Idol? She doesn't look confident enough to be an Idol'
"U-Um..."
"Ah, yes?"
"Ahh! Manager! Who is he? Is she declaring his love for you?" Suta said without thinking. She immediately uttered a sentence that could create misunderstanding and awkwardness towards somebody, even though they were lucky there was nobody else there but them.
"A-Ah, no, no! I'm sorry if I look like that, but that's not what I want. I won't take him away from you" said the pink-haired woman.
"A-Ah, I also apologize if I ruined your romantic moment."
A misunderstanding occurred. Suta who misunderstood the girl was going to confess her love, and the girl misunderstood that Suta was Kira's lover.
Kira gave up, he didn't know where to look because the two women were awkward with each other, making himself awkward as well. He just stared into the void before his eyes, waiting for the right time to tell the truth.
"M-Manager, how is this?"
With a joke to keep the situation from becoming awkward again, Kira put her index finger to Suta's forehead and pushed her head slightly. "Uwaa!" Suta said.
"Next time listen to other people's explanations first, and don't just jump to conclusions from only what you see."
Suta scowled while holding his forehead, "This is domestic violence! You can be arrested for that."
"Unfortunately, I yearn with the gender equality. So it doesn't apply to me, I'll win the court" Kira said while shrugging his shoulders.
"It applies to the law!"
"What do you know about the law? The world isn't fair, so give up."
Hearing the small talk and bickering of the two, the pink-haired girl chuckled as she covered her mouth with the palm of her hand. "You guys are so close, it seems interesting."
"Interesting?" Suta was confused.
"My name is Aoi Mina. I already told this friend of yours that I'm interested in joining this Idol club."
Recalling what he was thinking, Kira noticed a drastic difference in the girl named Aoi Mina. When she saw her smile like that, Aoi Mina, whose nickname was Mina, looked graceful in Kira's eyes.
'I don't know the singing skills of either of them. So in my opinion, the most important thing is to add members to the club first. At this rate, we'll have to accept he-'
"You're accepted!" said Suta. She then turned to Kira and smiled, "MANAGER! WE GET ONE MEMBER!"
Right... Suta was right... But seeing how carefree she was... "I'm getting worried..." Kira muttered while scratching the back of his head.
