Staring at the content of the books, Alucard's face was void of any emotions, almost as if he didn't care about it; however, that was only on the surface because inwardly he was trying to make sense of the content.
He grimaced.
"This is in the future, right?" The days and dates of this world were a little bit similar to earth; Alucard could tell; it was just a year from now before this prophecy came true, and at the mere thought of it, Alucard's blood boiled with outrage.
"Next year." Lucy's usually playful voice was nowhere to be seen because the situation didn't accommodate any jokes.
"A holy warlock, huh?" From the name 'Lumen Light' the vampire knew it must be a light warlock, and the title "Prince" also made him curious to ask the ghost girl some questions. Finally, he shook his head and decided to focus on the diary that he was here for.
Causally, Alucard continued his scan as though he hadn't read the content from earlier.
This act surprised Lucy a bit.
If someone else had read about their impending death, she was more than certain that they'd freak out and try to do everything in their power to prevent such a scenario. Alucard, however, looked seemingly unbothered.
What even made her a bit confused was his calmness. He wasn't like this before.
....Perhaps the old Troy was dying little by little.
"Ms. Goddess, why are you slacking?don't you want to leave this place?" Alucard waved his hands casually.
'He could still tease under such circumstances, huh?I guess becoming your guide wasn't bad after all.' Easily dismissing the thought, Lucy began her search once more, but no matter how she tried to feign it, she couldn't help but keep on glancing at Alucard from the side of her eyes.
At times, the vampire would catch her eye. but she would quickly look away and return to her search.
A bit later, Alucard's gaze finally fell on a beautiful book with red crystals embedded in it.
This was it.
This was certainly 'Dracula's diary.'

While Alucard and Lucy were far away, in a magnificent city with towering structures, a well-built man sat leisurely on top of a giant flying eagle. With blue eyes and beautiful black hair, this youngster's look was rather gentle while exuding a charismatic aura.
Steering the flying beast, the young man gently landed on the roof of the tallest tower in the whole of the light continent. This tower's design was oddly straight, with not much fancy design—just a golden structure.
The man leaped to the ground, but before his foot could touch the ground, a magical formation appeared just beneath him. Now standing on the pattern, he began to hover toward the nearest entrance. Before he could reach the entrance, however, people who seemed to be in white robes scrambled and went on one knee.
"Stand up, will ya?" There was a hint of annoyance in his voice as he bellowed at the servants. "How many times have I told you guys to stop this act?"
"We're sorry, your highness...it's just that… your mother nearly executed us the other day."
"That won't happen. My mother is just joking... now I need you to get kai."
"On it." The young man, whose name was Lumen Light, ordered his most trusted servant before averting his gaze below the city.
Down there, there were several citizens in pristine white robes; a few had loosely worn crosses on their necks, but all of them had a bizarre light pattern below their feet. The atmosphere was quite jolly and energetic, owing to the fact that this was the royal capital of the light continent.
What made this continent outstanding was the frightening number of light warlocks, which were considered the most powerful element in all of Freya. As such, it was easy for them to stay at the top of the food chain...
It would be a lie if Lumen Light wasn't proud of his continent. The smug expression on his face was proof!
Prince Lumen strolled through the lengthened hallway, which was bustling with servants who were all in white robes. Upon catching a glimpse of the prince, they all scurried over while hanging their heads low.
The prince gave a nod and continued his walk. He wasn't in the right mood to entertain any greetings. There was something... something that had been his biggest concern ever since he stumbled upon a certain book.
Ever since he saw the book's content, he had always been on the move—the move to find a particular person, whom he had never meant; however, that person was giving him sleepless nights. Today, he'll receive yet another news.
'Hope he brings good news this time.' Muttering, despite knowing what news might be like, Prince Lumen light stepped into a rather elegantly designed room with a massive golden chandelier kindling high on the towering ceilings, giving the room a luminescent golden glow.
With calm and elegant steps, he approached the bed and collapsed on it. He was quite drained and exhausted, to the point walking was an hassle because of tedious journey to a certain city left him tired.
Soon, a row of three knocks reverberated in the room, prompting the prince to open his half-closed eyes. He got up on his feet as he approached the door and opened it.
On the other side, clad in metal armor with a barbaric helmet, was Kai, his right-hand man or woman; even Prince Lumen didn't know the exact identity of his hench person.
"Take a seat." He spoke as he took a step back. He peered out and glanced to his left and right, making sure that no one saw him before banging the door shut.
That wasn't all.
Prince Lumen was a pretty courteous person, after all, so he cast a [high tier] holy barrier on the room. Done, he glared at the armored being and repeated the question he had asked for the last 6 months.
"Any news about 'Alucard Tepes?"
"Your highness, no news yet." The voice sounded quite masculine and feminine at the same time.
A deep scowl appeared on Prince Heaven, defying facial features. But that was it. One thing about being the future emperor of a peak continent such as the light continent was the ability for a ruler to keep his emotions in check, and over the years, this was something prince Lumen had perfected.
"But..." the armored being spoke, gaining another look from prince Lumen, who gave a simple head nod.
And the being spoke:
"We encountered a vampire by the name of Muna Black a few months ago."
This news seemed to have elevated the prince's soar mood as he asked his next question:
"Did you capture her?"
Hearing the question, the armor being lowered its head, clearly ashamed. "Unfortunately, we failed. She used some strange skill and ended up devouring most of our light warlocks and witches."
"Leave." Prince Lumen's voice sounded deep as he glanced away.
The armored being gave a low bow before leaving, carefully shutting the door, but ended up slamming it.
With a low sigh, the prince sauntered towards a table where a book with the title "Holy Church" gleamed brightly. He grabbed the book and flipped it to the first page.
[ On XXX, Prince Lumen Light, son of the holy pope, Anderson Light, died at the hands of Alucard Tepes. He was 21 ]
