The outside world, inside the magical manor...
Currently, Muna, Siena, and Nina could be seen staring at the levitating casket at the end of the dark room with furrowed brows and hearts thumping fiercely!
Of all the three, Muna seemed to be the most affected. The head maid inwardly blamed herself for not protecting Alucard, whom she was meant to keep safe even at the cost of her life.
For Muna, the sole purpose of living was to serve her master; without him, what was the point of living? She'd rather die than fail the queen, who had entrusted her child to her.
In her conflicted train of thought, Muna began to approach the casket, her footsteps slow and steady.
Siena and Nina stared at their elder sister, who was now a few meters away from the casket.
"We have to stop her." Siena said."She's about to do something stupid."
"…" Nina couldn't understand why her sister was talking in such a grave voice, but in the meantime, she decided to do as Siena said. However, before she could ask what she should do, Siena was already in front of Muna.
" Stop!!" Siena stomped on the floor, and a blood wall shot out from the ground, blocking Muna.
"Sister, you're not in your right mind, so please don't cause more harm to master!" Siena yelled from the other side of the wall!
"Be a good girl and step aside." Muna's voice was eerily calm and soothing, which only forced Siena to keep up her guard. Using her basic vampire blood control, she created another layer of blood wall on the already rigid wall.
"I'm your older sister; do as I say!" Muna was now losing it after seeing what Siena did. Her mind was cloudy, and so were her actions as she placed her hands on the blood wall.
Then…
A spider crack spread through the blood wall.
Gulp!
Siena gulped when she caught a glance at the wall. She didn't need to be a genius to know that the wall wouldn't last even for a second.
And in a split second, the blood walls shattered, almost as if they were made of glass, as the solid blood chunk rained inside the room.
Even the ghost girl, Lucy, who was on the far side, ducked instinctively before remembering that she was a ghost.
As for Nina, she created a blood sword and deflected all the attacks. Then, placing her hands on the ground, she watched as a puddle of blood raced through the ground as it encased Muna in some sort of prison.
But in the next second, the blood prison collapsed without the slightest resistance.
"Seems like you girls no longer have respect for me." Muna's black eyes glowed even darker; it appeared as if there was no life in them.
Nina, being the weakest despite being the same age as Siena, started to tremble as she took a step back. Those eyes weren't just Muna's natural eyes. They were called the eyes of the devourer, and the bearers of these eyes grow stronger by devouring souls.
A gift or a curse, no one could tell, but one thing was clear:
When those eyes glow dark, it only means that the bearer is about to devour souls...
And who were the only souls here? Nina was more than terrified to answer that question.
"Sister, it's us, your sisters!" Tears started streaming down Nina's eyes at the thought of joining her sister's soul collection. The thought made her shudder. However, she couldn't hate her sister for that because she and Siena knew that this was the downside of this ability.
The bearer had a high chance of going on a rampage!
And the worst thing was that there were two of them who had this curse or blessing. Luckily, one of them was lying inside a coffin.
This time around, even Siena, who was a little courageous, stood limp as if she had become paralyzed. Hers was even worse, as she couldn't even muster the strength to speak, cry, or make any sound in general.
The reason she wanted to stop Muna from reaching the casket was that if Muna tried to wake the slumbering Alucard forcefully, there was a high chance that when Alucard woke up, it wouldn't be in this world; rather, it'd be the afterlife!
Muna knew about this, but in her current state,... she was mindless, almost like a zombie who was only after one thing—brain.
Finally gaining the ability to breathe again, Siena began to create blood spikes; however, there was one noticeable thing about this spike, which was the extra layer of ice coating the bloody spikes.
Although Siena knew that the chances of her surviving until Muna came back to her senses were zero, she decided to use her awakened elemental magic—the ice element.
This element was known to be one of the most disastrous in Freya because of the range of things one could do with it, and coupled with Siena being a [Tier 5 witch], it was even more deadly in her hands.
"sister, hope you forgive me when you come back to your senses!" With those words, the spike hovered in the air like a myriad of missiles aimed at one person.
"Please wake up, virgin, before these girls kill each other." Lucy visibly sweated as she felt the amount of mana that filled the otherwise relatively small room. While she benefited greatly when she was in a place overflowing with mana, Lucy still wanted the girls to stop fighting as that might cause emotional trauma for Aluchard, who cherished these girls.
Almost like sisters, but she wouldn't put it like that.
While Lucy was busy contemplating what to do, the spike darted toward Muna!
However, the spikes and everyone seemingly froze mid-air as a familiar voice fell on the room.
"My lovely maids…"
