Chapter 6 - Village life

'It's been a month since the forest incident and a lot of things happened in that time.'

'After getting back home dad informed mom about what happened. As expected she went off on him about being careful and how he never listens to her.'

'In the end, he calmed her down.'

'On to other matters I met some of the town's residents like the town's herbalist she's an old lady with blonde hair turning white at the roots and has a slight hunch. She's the one who makes the town's medicine, she's a lovely old lady.

'My dad increased my training regime by double the amount making me have to do forty push-ups, twenty pull-ups, and four laps around the edge of the forest, as to why he's making a six-year-old do this he only told me that "One's training must never be comfortable it should always be pushing you past your limits both mentally and physically."

'In this month I've come across some very despairing news. I've been told I have to go back to school!'

*Dunn* Duh*Dun!*

___

*Fsch* pitter* patter* psch!*

In a small and cozy little room where three people resided.

Two adults and one child.

"Son your mother and I have to tell you something." A tall man spoke his voice strict and unwavering

his voice shared a similarity with the thunder roaring outside with how it reverberated through the room.

___

After recalling that grim moment Allison unconsciously shivered.

We can see our hero and his father have taken a coach to the city of Runar

'' Al are you alright ?''

After observing Allison's actions Marcus asked Allison

"uh Oh yeah sorry I was just dazing out"

Allison slowly replied to Marcus' question

".... Ok we'll be entering the city in a few minutes."

" Already!."

With excitement evident in his movements Allison pokes his head out the side window of the coach he's riding.

In the distance stands a city shrouded in the warm and gentle glow of the sun the city was surrounded by a worn stone wall littered with cracks and holes with moss creeping on the sides depicting the years gone by.

The gate to the city was made of wood it retained more of its visage in comparison to the wall but still had signs of were and tear.

At the gate stood two guards who were checking the verification of those who wished to enter the city.

"Wow." was all the bewildered boy could say.

After a few more minutes the coach stopped and the man driving it asked

"My pay?"

With an exhausted sigh, Marcus tosses the man four bronze-colored coins.

After a moment Marcus looks at Allison and tells I'm

"Al were going into the city soon so hold my hand and don't let go."

Allison responded, "Alright don't worry about me dad."

Marcus looked at him with a skeptical eye but just sighed and nodded his head.

The pair of father and son went to the back of the line to wait for their turn to enter the city.

While looking at the gate he saw that those that didn't have a silver-colored pass would have to pay a fee.

After a few minutes the pair reached the gate but upon the guard noticed them the expected response didn't come they instead got

" Ah, Sir Raze it's an honor to meet you!" upon hearing the other guard speak the last one seemed to realize something.

" Sir Raze we thank you for your service and welcome you to the city of silver Runar"

Without sparing them a glance Marcus walked past them

As for Marcus, he had a look of recollection of hearing the guard's words while Allison plunged into taught

'Wait they called him sir that's a title they give to high-ranking knights that means dad was a big shot knight in the past. That means my dad was a big shot knight in the past.'

While Allison taught about all of this Marcus himself wore a face of his eyes held nothing but sorrow over a tale that was too long to tell.

Finally entering the city the duo of father and son look around the city one with childish curiosity and the other with an uncaring gaze, after a while they finally reached their destination a grand building stood before them it stood proud with its magnificent silver visage.

Allison's childlike joy vanished when confronted with the magnificent building, while Marcus just huffed and began walking towards the building's entrance.

The reason they came to the city of Runar was to sign up poor Allison for to him was a prison.
