After entering the grand building Marcus swiftly moved through the building moving from one corner of the room with the clear intent of reaching somewhere within the building poor little Alisson was struggling with keeping up with him. This frantic spree of movement lasted for several minutes.
"Uhm, dad. Do you know where to go?" Allison asked his father with uncertainty in his voice
"Hmph of course I do it's just around this corner," Marcus replied with confidence lacing his voice.
As he said this he advanced toward the corner on the left side of the room. True to Allison's thoughts they were not in front of the office for him to sign up but instead they stood in a room filled with lined seats facing a blackboard.
Allison just looked at his father with a blank stare.
"Uhum I meant the next corner." and so they went to the next corner of the room and again they stood in almost the same exact room. After this they continued to travel around the building for up to five minutes; all the while Allison stared on with a blank stare.
"Ok let's just ask someone for directions." Marcus croaked out a sound in a defeated voice.
After a few minutes of searching around they found a janitor whom they asked for directions, the man told them that they had to go up three steps and take a right to reach their destination. After thanking the man the duo followed his instructions to reach the principles office. Finally, they reached their desired destination in front of the principal's office of the well renowned Silver Star Academy.
Knocking on the office's door they heard a calm and conceited voice from within the room
"You may enter."
Without much care, the pair entered the office. In there they saw a small room lined with shelves that were filled to the brim with books all possessing their own color and their own texture
The room itself had a feeling of vast knowledge within it. In that room sat a short fat man sitting on a beautifully carved chair.
Allison was left dumbstruck by the scene portrayed by the grand room before him
"Welcome please take a seat. "
The two took a seat directly in front of the man
"Good morning to you as well Mr. Hendrics I've come to register my son for this school."
not wasting much time Marcus got to the reason for his visit.
"Now now Marcus why such a rush, calm down let's chat for a bit, would you like some tea ."
a tapping sound started to resound through the room
" Im quite fine actually I would rather just get this over with."
the tapping got more frequent and conveyed a feeling of anxiousness.
"*huh huh* alright now no need to get so antsy it's just going to take a minute ..." the man got out of his seat and went to the cupboard behind him to grab some papers.
"For this side place your son's place of residence, for this side place the parents' place of residence and finally on this side place at what level he'll be going to attend while attending this institution, as you should already know our school gives teaching up to the tertiary level and our fees aren't that low, but since your an old friend I can cut the cost by a bit."
The man stacks the papers into three piles and states what each paper requires Marcus to do.
"It's fine I can pay it, I don't want to impede on you anymore as it is," Marcus replied
Marcus got up to leave but was stopped in his tracks by Hendricks
"Wait take this you need it for your son."
Marcus skimmed over the paper before realizing what it was
"Yeah, it's a book list for the school. Nothing on the list is cheap so if you need help just ask me okay." Hendrics stated with a calm voice while looking at him with a
Before another word could be said, Marcus left the room with his son.
"*fhu* It was nice seeing you again old friend."
While all this was happening poor little Allison didn't know what to say so he just kept quiet and listened to what the two men had to say.
'That man... Mr. Hendrics seems to know my father, but he looked so uncomfortable in the conversation what happened in the past for him to be acting like this now?'
At the same time Allison finished his thought Marcus looked over at him and stated
"We need to get you some clothes for school don't we? come on let's go get your school supplies."
