"Here, take this." Mr Adeline placed a teacup on the coffee table closer to the young man sitting next to him, motioning him to drink it.
The young man glanced at the teacup without the slightest interest. His coffee-brown eyes looked dimmed as if they lost their colour.
However, he didn't want to make him feel bad. Hence, he forced himself to take a sip from the teacup before putting it down on the coffee table again.
"How's your business recently?" Mr Adeline rubbed his hands together as he asked, hoping to start a conversation between them.
"Well, not bad." The young man blurted out lazily.
Mr Adeline sighed in his heart. His company was one of the top business enterprises in the whole wide world. But here he was... Talking about his business as if nothing was interesting or it wasn't that much important. Maybe it was because he was just too successful.
