"Hello? Anybody here? Hey? Hi?!"
Evelyn yelled from the top of her lungs as she looked around of the black sky filled with stars.
"...I'm really dead. That fucking pair of cheater bastards... I swear--"
Remembering how her fiancée and her spoiled half-sister were rolling on the bed, covered in the scent of fresh intimacy, Evelyn began to spill out curses. She died before she could leave the hotel room as Ryan pushed her body, causing her to trip and hit the edge of the coffee table. Instant hit. Instant dead. K.O. No survival.
"Damn! I really really REALLY wanna kill those motherfucker--"
"Will you be quite?!"
A smooth and soft voice interject with a sense of annoyance.
"BAH!!!"
Evelyn jump in fright and turned to see whose the newcomer.
A lady clad in the most beautiful red dress as her long silver hair and purple eyes stared at her. She could feel her strong and demanding presence filling the room.
"Are you dead too? Name's Evelyn, by the way."
Thinking it was rude to ask someone who appeared out of nowhere, Evelyn quickly introduced herself as to not offend the other party.
"Hmm. Jevelyn."
"Oh...wow, our names are kinda similar."
Hearing her talk and seeing her outfit, she could guess that this woman is not from a modern society.
"But umm... do you have any idea why am I here? I mean, why are we both here? Were like the only people present and I don't see anyone around where I can ask questions."
"I know, I summoned you."
"...hmm...pardon? What."
"I summoned you to replace me and occupy my body. And because I need your help and I have been waiting for thousands of years to find someone who is compatible to me."
"Umm...miss...or lady, I'm not really getting you right now..."
"I'm saying, you will replace me for my second reincarnation. I have been, somehow, given a chance to go back to my past life and have decided to change my bad future. I died for the second time and could no longer go back to my body, hence have I been waiting here for thousands of years in the Celestial Realm to find a soul that's suitable for my body. I only have one question; will you help me save myself from my old demise and make my brother the head of the Dukes' Household and my twin brother, The King's aide?"
Evelyn observed the young lady in front of her. Although, her requests were insane and impossible but she could feel a strong desire to protect those she loves and is willing to sacrifice herself, even if it meant death.
"I can't guarantee the answer but what's in it for me? Pretty sure, there is something that you have that will picked my interest."
"There is. I saw your past. You were betrayed by your family and lover, used by them, and tossed like a useless piece of trash. I was the same as well. Except, I hurt my brothers and killed them in my previous life for jealousy and greediness all because I was thirsty of love and affection. I also saw that you were interested in fighting, mainly with swords, as you have to give up fencing during your youth because of your fathers demand."
"....yes. That's right."
"If you occupy my body, you can do sword fighting. I have a talent for swords and elemental magic because of my mother. I will not hinder you on doing things as you wish as long as you did what I told you to do."
"About your brothers?"
"Yes. They're the only people I cared within my family including my personal maids, Lisa and Leena, and my nanny, Masie. Aside from that; do whatever you want."
"What about your parents? Your grandparents?"
".... I don't care for those people. Do whatever you seem fit."
"I see..."
Jevelyn watch the woman in front of her as she clutched her skirt so tight that it felt like the fabric was about to tear in half. As Evelyn nodded her head in agreement, the tension within her shoulders disappeared as she sigh in relief.
"By the time you occupied my body, I will no long exist; especially seems I'm the host. Don't worry, you will have my memories including my past life so you will know what to do in order to avoid my previous life."
"All right, that sounds good. I'm ready when your ready."
"Hmm."
Jevelyn smiled as she took Evelyn's hands. She wished and prayed that this woman will be able to help her brothers, who both loved her deeply but killed them because of the evilness of her heart.
"Please, make my brothers and my maids happy. And be happy as well."
"I will. You may rest in peace, Jevelyn."
A bright yellow light appeared at their feet as it quickly covered their bodies and flew upwards like a shooting star.

"...lyn."
"...evelyn."
"....Jevelyn."
Evelyn opened her eyes and saw two handsome men with worry etched on their faces. The tallest had a silver hair in a ponytail with blue eyes while the other had short golden hair with purple eyes.
"....big brother, brother."
At this point, Evelyn already had a glimpsed of Jevelyn's past while asleep. She could feel that both of them experienced the same ignorance from their parents. So calling them brothers came naturally from her mouth.
"We're here, we're here. Big brother is sorry for coming late. I promise it will not happen again."
"Jevelyn, you should punish me instead. It was my--"
"Brother Alwynn. It wasn't your fault. You had to go and attend your swordsmanship class or else 'He' will get mad and prevent you from seeing me."
Evelyn, now Jevelyn, stared at him as he bit his lips in guilt. After sleeping for days, the dryness of her throat and the long sentence she had said caused her to cough violently. Both her brothers immediately patted her with comfort and handed her a glass of water.
"... I'll be fine. I will just rest."
"...okay. If you need anything, and ANYTHING, don't hesitate to call us or the maids, okay?"
"Hmm."
Hearing the soft click of the door, she could hear a maid reporting that the Duke didn't come by and the angry sigh of her Older brother, Kragen, as Alwynn let out a disappointed noise.
As expected, even when he learned that the youngest daughter of the Jephcots family fell in the lake and was bed ridden for 2 weeks, he didn't come for a visit. He was and still blamed her for the death of his beloved wife.
Having her memories from her previous world, she could see that it was quite stupid to put the blame on a child for the death of their spouse. She couldn't understand why but its not like she wanted to as she doesn't have any plans on rekindling her relationship with her 'father'. Or should she call him a 'Duke' instead.
Sighing, Jevelyn glanced at the open window as the moon brightly shined on her as if soothing her previous life's pain, then closing her eyes softly as the breeze patted her broken heart.
