Aiden stared at the empty mirror in front of him.
It never failed to remind him that he was no longer a human being, but a vampire.
Mirrors were unbelievably racist.
"Aiden, you look beautiful," Carina commented from the side. "Smile, it is your wedding day."
Aiden gave her a curt smile in response.
Other than him, Ryan, Lord Marcus Caldwell, and Lady Grey, no one knew that he and Ryan were already married through the Blood Rite. Not even Zane.
Ryan was very particular about it.
No one should find out.
If news about the Blood Rite leaked out, this grand wedding would lose its significance. Mark Parsons would not be interested in coming and ruining it.
Aiden knew that, but it was frustrating when he was unable to share the news with anyone, not even with his best friends.
Aiden lifted his left hand and scrutinized his left ring finger. The tattoo was no longer visible. Ryan had arranged to cover the marks from the Blood Rite temporarily.
