The sun rays gently caressed Maya's face as her eyes flew open. She had little sleep last night because she was thinking of today's trial. She didn't have any solid evidence to prove to everybody that her husband was innocent and it worried her deeply.
She dragged her aching body to the bathroom, brushed her teeth and took a warm bath.
She was still yawning every second as she walked out of the bathroom to the closet. She removed a white knee length dress that was hanging there and slipped it on. She slammed the closet shut and carried on with brushing her hair and applying some lotion on her dry skin. She didn't bother with any makeup and took her purse, slipped into her sandals and walked out.
Amber was already waiting for her when she got downstairs, so they hopped into the car and soon were on their way.
