Maya sat on the couch, her eyes fixed upstairs waiting for Ace to walk out. Her fingers were tapping her thighs impatiently.
He was taking forever to get ready and Maya's anxiety grew as time passed. She even started to sweat despite the AC being on blast.
Ace soon walked out with a black fabric in his hand but Maya didn't ask any question.
She began walking to the door when Ace stopped her.
"We need to blindfold you first," he said, coming up behind her and tying the fabric over her eyes.
Maya didn't say a word, she didn't even care about anything other than seeing her son.
Ace guided her to the car and soon they were moving.
Maya's heart began to be at faster as she wondered how long this journey would take.
