"Do you need anything else?" Jackson asked, as he brought in her luggage.
"No, I don't think so…?" Zoe trailed off when she picked up an unfamiliar male boxer on the bed. The moment she lifted it with a finger, letting it dangle from her hand, Jackson saw it and went red in the face.
He snatched it from her, hurriedly stuffing it inside the pocket of his pants as he was mortified while Zoe rubbed the hand down her clothes, hoping to God she hasn't touched anything suspicious if you get what she means.
"I'm sorry," Jackson apologized, swallowing nervously, "I didn't have the time to organize my stuff and I didn't expect that you would return. I thought that when we left in the morning, you'd find the phone and…." He couldn't complete his words, probably trying to be considerate of her feelings.
"And you wouldn't hear of me." Zoe finished it up, nodding her head in understanding.
