Zoe knew she shouldn't be happy that he couldn't recover his phone yet, but his misfortune worked for her good. For once, luck was on her side. She wasn't cursed with bad luck as she had thought. Zoe wished that the phone would not be found until she gets money to move out of here. It was her second wish.
Gabriel said to her, "Other people would have reported you to the police already for pawning off the phone but I don't want the attention and you can think of it as me being magnanimous. So do you have a problem with staying here?"
"No, I don't." Who was she kidding? She was so excited. Previously, Zoe had felt guilty because she thought that the phone was the last gift from his father, as Jackson lied to her, but now, she would pray that whatever information in the phone remained intact till they found it.
