She was supposed to sleep after taking her bath and changing into new clothes, but all Zoe did was turn and toss around on the soft bed. It was quite comical because spending another day here was exactly what she wished for, but now that it finally came to fruition, she didn't feel fulfilled.
The only reason that she can stay here tonight - and probably for the days to come - is because the fate of Gabriel's phone is unknown. She should feel happy at the outcome, instead, the guilt was greater.
She finally had a place to lay down her head and sleep comfortably! That's all she should be worried about. Zoe exhaled deeply. Gabriel was not happy when he left upstairs. What exactly was in that phone? The curiosity was eating at her.
If he wasn't a criminal, could it be that it contained the picture of his first love? What if his first love died and the pictures he could use to remember her were in there?
