'Ha! A birthday present. I don't think there is anything praise worthy that I want right now except for activating my last Wish. Last time in the Reincarnation Space out of all the Wishes I made the last one that hasn't been claimed is the System and for its activation I have to enter a Dungeon. Guess that settles the issue of my birthday present then.'
"Mother then for my birthday present let's go explore a Dungeon." spoke Fritz after a slight moment of contemplation.
"Huh? A Dungeon? How weird, out of all the possible things I thought you might want never did I expect a dungeon exploration as one of them. Nonetheless a dungeon run is it then."
"Let's go." beamed Layla.
She had prepared a lot of gifts for Fritz either it be weapons, treasures, martial skills and techniques and even a trip outside the Portable World they resided in.
You must know that Fritz ever since being reborn in Gaia had never interacted with other people except for his mother and her maids; Dawn and Dusk.
So Layla was even prepared to introduce Fritz to the other side of the Portable World wherein laid a prosperous new world. This other side of the portable world was something that she had never mentioned to Fritz and contrary to her expectations he had never shown any desire to interact with other people.
Though surprised by his choice she didn't linger much on the issue as with his decision to explore a dungeon much of her plans for his cultivation could be explained in detail during the dungeon run. With Fritz's being five years old it was already time for him to start cultivating compared to other children his age that started when they were seven since he was a natural awakener.
With a wave of her right hand, huge amounts of mana gathered at the tip of her finger aiming it at the void. The mana surged into the void as an illusory three-meter portal appeared in front of them. After a few moments of continuous supply of mana, the portal turned from illusory to real as it manifested physically.
A Teleportation Portal was simply created by Layla as if it was nothing. She had cast a high tier skill easily creating a teleportation portal connecting two different places allowing for instantaneous travel between the two of them regardless of distance dependent on the mana supplied.
Layla reached for his soft little hand before diving into the portal.

A singular lonesome mountain stood on a vast plain of land, barren, bleak, bereft of life. Below the mountain stood a menacing blood red gate, with a plague on top of it written; [Blood Fiends Paradise]. In front of the gate, a circular spatial crack appeared enlarging within seconds to a three meters' tall portal. Two people walked out of it, Layla and Fritz.
"Here we are, welcome to the [Blood Fiends Paradise]. Do you see those two bold SS letters, that's the dungeons danger grade. Every dungeon always has their grade respective to their danger engraved on their gates."
"I could have picked any other dungeon even those of lower grades but I chose this one because the Blood Fiends in this dungeon drop a very rare loot type that is especially useful for newly awakened at the Mortal Stage of cultivation."
"Speaking of the stages of cultivation I guess it's about time you learn of them. The power that awakeners wield is divided into three stages of cultivation in Gaia being MORTAL, VITAL and lastly the HEAVENLY stage. Each of these Stages further being divided i.e. MORTAL [D, C, B, A], VITAL [S, SS, SSS] and HEAVENLY [Lord, King, Ruler]."
Layla explained everything to Fritz as it didn't even take them a minute before reaching the dungeon gate. Turning towards her son checking whether he was scared, Layla only saw his brilliant bright eyes filled with anticipation and she knew that he was ready.
ZAAP!
Both mother and son disappeared into the dungeon gate to be greeted by a dark black sky dimly illuminated by three red blood moons. Thousands of burrows filling the vast plain of land, the ground red as if baptised in blood, a vile odour rising from it.
Sensing their arrival deep within the thousands of burrows that filled the dungeon plain, red eyes seething with bloodlust illuminated the dark dungeon sky. It started off with a singular burrow before eyes started flashing inside each individual burrow followed by a rather greasy and cold howl reverberating throughout the dungeon.
HOWWLL!
Hidden inside the burrows came to light thousands of disgusting lupine monsters towering at a height of 3 meters, their bodies covered with red grimy hair. From their hands extended blood red sharp claws that seemed powerful enough to easily cut through some of the toughest metals, with extremely white saw-toothed fangs these were the Blood Fiends.
This group of Blood Fiends having three distinct differentiations in terms of status and power, the majority of them hornless as these were the Normal Blood Fiends, hundreds of them single horned Elite Blood Fiends and lastly standing at the back of the group was a two horned Blood Fiend King of height five meters. The Blood Fiend King being the dungeon Boss.
ROARR!
The Blood Fiend King let out a powerful bellow which to the two was just an irritating roar but to the Blood Fiends it was a command.
A command to attack.
A command to kill and feast.
The horde of monsters crazily dashed forward each bloodthirsty than the other, their being seeking to slaughter and bathe in blood.
"Are you scared?"
"Nope. Mother is here with me."
Layla flashed a brilliant smile with her hand gently rubbing Fritz on the head. She felt proud that her son wasn't fazed by these 'ants'.
"Yes there is no need to be scared my son for what you will experience will be much greater than this. As for these noisy 'ants'…"
Layla's brows scrunched up in annoyance, her hand swiping from the left to the right horizontally as in front of her bloomed a menacing dark ray of light shot straight towards the charging swarm of Blood Fiends.
[Dark Server]
Before they could even muster their defences the ray had already cut through them. The dark ray of light killed them in seconds, arms, legs and heads separated from their bodies as fountains of blood showered into the air. A scene of true carnage as what was left of the Blood Fiends froze in their steps.
Silence!
The swarm of thousands of Blood Fiends destroyed even before reaching their 'prey' as what was left of them froze in fear.
"Now that's much better, a little bit of peace and quiet" exclaimed Layla.
"Ah yes…before entering the dungeon we were talking about the stages of cultivation. Each stage of cultivation has an area that is of emphasis. Taking the Mortal Stage for example, in this stage an awakener nourishes and strengthens their body together with blood essence refining as preparation for the Vital Stage."
"With each stage you should make sure that you reach your utmost limit as each stage affects your progress in the next one. Foundation is of paramount importance when cultivating as the firmer and stable yours is the higher you will reach and the more powerful you would be compared to those of the same stage and even sometimes powerful enough to fight across ranks."
ROAAR
A wrathful roar came from the Blood Fiend King baring its sharp teeth as it angrily pounded its chest. It was incensed as the 'puny' human almost erased all of its brethren yet she acted as if it was nothing. Fritz clamping his hands excitedly behind his back empathised with it as his mother acted as if killing SS ranked monsters was nothing.
He even felt that his mother was just leisurely swatting flies.
Pointing its hand towards the three blood moons in the sky the Blood Fiend King cast three skills simultaneously as all of its frozen kind started to move waking up from their fear. Three consecutive blinding rays of red light came streaking down from the three blood moons bathing the remaining Blood Fiends and their King.
The Blood Fiend King had casted its three unique racial skills [Blood Empowerment], [Blood Moon Armour] and lastly [Blood Moon; Blood Berserk]. The first skill increasing the combat power of the Blood Fiends thrice, whilst the second was a defensive blood red armour. The last one bringing them into a frenzied, bloodthirsty warlike state.
With the Blood Fiend King taking the lead they shot straight towards Fritz and his mother whom ever since entering the dungeon never backed down even for a second as they too slowly walked towards the rampaging monsters. Their roars reverberating
"Huh? Be quiet!" Layla's powerful voice rang sonorously in the dungeon. She was irritated by their constant roars as they constantly disturbed her whilst talking to her son.
[Dark Orb]
A massive dark ball of light rose from her hand into the sky as with each increase in its ascent contracting from being a one-meter circle to the size of an adult's head. Reaching the size of an adults head it stopped, floating in mid-air.
[Hellish Descent]
With a mutter from Layla the floating dark ball spun around at incredible speeds as powerful multiple streaks of projectiles shot towards the incoming Blood Fiends.
POP! POP! POP!
As if their armour was for show the Blood Fiend Kings were riddled by holes as they dropped lifelessly one by one with the Blood Fiend King defending only for a second before perishing. Their blood bathed the ground as it flowed just like a river.
They all died none of them ever launching a single attack nor being at least ten meters close to them.
With the death of the dungeon boss a resplendent explosion of loot occured. With a light swing of her arm all the loot was collected by Layla storing it into a ring before giving it to Fritz.
"Haha! it seems like your luck is quite good my son. Your first ever dungeon run and you obtain a Skill Book. Inside that storage ring there are two thousand blood essence orbs and a few important items for you to start cultivating."
"Come, let's go home now it seems that this clone of mine has spent quite some energy lets go home before it disappears."
'Huh? A clone?'. Fritz was quite shocked, if the clone was this powerful this how powerful would she be.
DING! DING! DING!
