"What are you doing here?"
Christina closed her eyes when she heard the familiar husky voice. 'Please tell me, I'm hallucinating,' said Christina in her head.
With her eyes still closed, Christina slowly turned her head towards the voice. 'Please… please… please… not him. Please let it be someone else. Please let it be another person with the same name and… voice,' Christina chanted in her mind.
She took a deep breath and opened her eyes gradually.
Her prayers didn't work. Standing in front of her was the same Luke that she didn't want to face.
Christina's eyes fixed on Luke's face, and a weird sensation seeped into her stomach. Her heart drummed as if a war was heading towards the core of her heart.
"What are you doing here?" the question was repeated, breaking Christina's stupor.
Pulling herself together, Christina put up her calm facade, "Can't you see? I'm peeling the potatoes," replied Christina.
