Jasmine's small scream and the thud sound of the book hitting the floor alerted Felix.
Afraid something happened to Jasmine, Felix dashed out of the bathroom. His eyes landed on Jasmine, who stood at the side of the bed with a horrifying look on her pretty face. Her emerald eyes were opened wide; it almost felt like it would pop out of its socket.
Felix quickly scurried over towards Jasmine, checking her up and down, thinking she had hurt herself.
"What happened?" he asked worriedly.
Seeing she had attracted Felix's attention, Jasmine shook her head profusely, "n-nothing. There was a cockroach, and it suddenly flew, surprising me," she said. Her mind had short-circuited after she saw the book, however, Jasmine successfully found an excuse to cover up.
