"Can you check on my parents?" asked Jasmine. "I know they must be having a hard time," Jasmine said while looking at her fidgeting fingers.
Jasmine's nose had become sour and her eyes were getting misty, however, she held herself back from crying.
Vince and Luke looked at her pitifully. After their discussion about her case, they believed Jasmine was really innocent.
How sad it was for someone like her to fall into someone else's scheme and now facing a death penalty.
"Tell them to not worry about me," said Jasmine. "Dad must have faced trouble at work," mumbled Jasmine thoughtfully. Looking up towards Vince, "Did people give my dad a hard time?" asked Jasmine to Vince.
Vince pursed his lips into a thin line, saying nothing, while Luke looked at Vince to see what he would answer.
