Chapter 49 - Deeper into the ruins of an old Village

"What happened here?" Samantha asked as she looked around at the destroyed buildings of an old village.

The territory covered with snow, was waking up in her a bad memory she wanted to forget.

"I don't know, but I don't like it here. We should move. We are not alone here..." Christopher spoke, feeling someone's presence and movement underground.

Suddenly, "Watch out!" Christopher shouted and, covered in shadows, he jumped at Samantha who casually walked towards an old statue in the middle of the village.

From the spot she previously stood on came a big snake-like creature made from trees and branches.

The creature's head was covered with branches acting like protection and it's eyes had a deep blood-red color.

Opening it's mouth, it fired a ball of weird blood-red liquid on the spot where Christopher and Samantha landed so in a blink of an eye, their bodies were covered with shadows again as Christopher teleported them a few meters away from that creature.

"I think I'm going to throw up," Samantha stated as her eyes rolled around aimlessly. Yes, she can fly and all that stuff but this was just too fast for her, even when she, around twenty minutes ago, used the speed of light.

"Common Samantha, we don't have time for this," Christopher commented as she slowly woke up back to reality.

"Don't worry... I'm going to be okay," she spoke and slowly got up with Christopher's help.

"What is the plan now?" she looked at the creature as it licked its mouth and its eyes gleamed with lust. As a creature from the forest, it felt Samantha's true nature.

"Gross," Samantha shuddered with disgust and looked back at her companion whose eyes glowed blood red.

His killing intent exploded as he casually responded.

"We are going to kill it. Can you fight?" Christopher asked and pulled his sword out, preparing for a fight.

"Of course I can!" Samantha pointed "I'm not useless you know. I can use spirit magic!"

"Very well, prove you can do something," he responded but when he was about to start his fight, Ardelean's voice resonated in his head.

["I'm recommending you to take the spear for this fight."] Ardelean spoke and showed the beast's stats from his point of view.

"Blood toxic beast?" Christopher narrowed his eyes.

["Yes, the ice would be handy now but the amount you had in your sword was used on the ghouls and you probably don't want to experience the same thing again that happened with the Vampires in that town right? Losing Samantha now would completely break your hope..."]

"You are right. Give me that spear," he spoke as a golden light appeared in front of him, forming the spear. For Samantha, it looked like he pulled the spear out of thin air.

"Let's see how good you are," he spoke and instantly felt a vibration from that spear as her blade glowed orange with the crackling of lightning.

'Another living object?' he thought but then ignored that for now.

'In this world, it's probably normal,' he thought without knowing the truth about how lucky he was.

Pointing the spear's blade at the creature in front of him, he spoke "Show me what you got beast."

The snake creature opened its mouth with a strong roar and sent three balls of red poison at him at a fast pace.

Christopher cracked his neck, jumped towards the balls of blood poison flying in the air, and disappeared into shadows.

[... Redwilnet, the kingdom of Vampires and mirror dimension of Earth ...]

"The peace with Werewolves that lasted for few centuries ended my friends," were the words of the Vampire King Vlad after he came from the room he was in with the Werewolf King Alaric.

He tried his best to reverse this outcome but his speech powers were not enough. The Werewolf family felt offended by what Vicki said to the Werewolf King's eldest son.

Now, the vampire Counts were sitting in a big room behind a round table with their King, discussing what was going to happen now.

"Isobel, I'm sorry but you should teach your fucking daughter to behave. Thanks to her stupid attitude, we are going to face another war!" one of the Counts spoke.

His name was Thomas Lorcan, father of Lazarus Lorcan and one of the twelve Vampire Counts a kingdom Redwilnet had.

He had long blond hair a very handsome face and a muscular body, wearing a white suit with green details, a green shirt, and a white tie.

"Shut up Thomas. You are just jealous that the Werewolf king's daughter didn't come after your son. He is a dick like you after all. That's why Maria left you for Gabriel."

This was spoken by Countess Anastasia Enigma, Christopher's mother-in-law, and mother of Alice, who was one of Christopher's wives. Her eyes were glued at Thomas and only hatred could be seen in them.

She was a good friend of Isobel so she was on her side.

Gabriel Angelo, another one of the Counts then spoke "My king, what are we going to do now? This is a declaration of war and I don't want to be impolite but we are not in a good situation. Now, we have already two enemies."

Gabriel was wearing a king's blue suit with golden details, a shirt having the same blue color, and a tie with the color of gold.

The King, who had all this time his eyes closed, opened them and spoke "Witches?"

Gabriel nodded "Yes my king. It seems they are going to be on the Werewolf King's side. It's more beneficial for them."

The king nodded "Hmm... we have two options. First, we are going to fight with the Werewolves and lose, or we can send Victoria Phoenix to marry the werewolf king's eldest son Michael."

Hearing this, Isobel almost choked with all female Countesses present, Vlad's wives which are the last three female Countesses are not present due to them being lazy and in bed...

"B-But my king... that's not a good idea. With this, you are opening your gates to traitors." Gabriel tried to show his King how bad his alliance with the Werewolves was.

Yes, they have 'alliance' and 'peace' but this was an entirely different level. An alliance through marriage was something they shouldn't mess with because if this alliance is made, it can't be broken and the individuals can't even divorce.

Their marriage is closed with the two races' powers which means, the two races can't hurt each other. The only power that can break this alliance must be stronger than the two races together and must come from 'outside' of their dimension, like gods or entities...

The bad thing, everyone who closed this kind of relationship with the Werewolves didn't have this power at their disposal, and because of that ended up poor or dead. Yes, the entire race was sucked out of life and other resources.

The Werewolves were acting like leeches and the only ones who survived their encounter were Youkais with the help of their protector, a Goddess.

"They just want to do the same thing that happened with the Youkai Vlad! Because of those wet dogs, almost eighty percent of all kinds of Youkai are dead. You can't let that happen!" shouted another one of the Countesses and her friend next to her nodded.

The one who spoke was Ophelia Ambrosia, the mother of Evie, and her expression of almost always calm and happy face was now filled with disbelief and disgust towards her king. Her black hair was tied into a ponytail and she wore a gold dress that hid her thick thighs and G-cup breasts.

"Are you an airhead Vlad or did you let that Werewolf king's bitch brainwash you?"

The one who joined the conversation and was nodding on Ophelia's point was Portia Florescu, mother of Sofia, and her face was almost the same as Ophelia's, filled with disgust, disbelief, and hatred. She was sitting on her chair with crossed legs and arms under her F-cup breasts. She had short blond hair and was around 190cm tall like her friends Ophelia and Anastasia.

'Anastasia, Ophelia, and Portia are Christopher's mothers-in-law but it looks like they don't know it for now. Their daughters didn't speak about it because of his disappearance I think.' thought Elizabeth as she scanned the three women.

'Probably, their daughters want to tell it personally and with him next to them.' she thought but then, she let it pass because of Isobel's raised voice who sat next to her.

"Are you fucking kidding me, Vlad! I'm not going to let my daughter become the toy of some nasty, smelly dog!" Isobel shouted.

The vampire king, Vlad looked at her and raised his eyebrow "What! I don't care about one individual but about the entire kingdom. My friend gave me a chance to reverse the damage your stupid daughter made and I'm not going to let this chance pass. Prepare your daughter because, in three days, she is going to marry Michael."

Then, he looked at everyone "This meeting is over," and left in a cloud of black and red mist.

The six Countesses just looked at each other with disbelief while the four male Counts stood up and three of them then left.

The only one who remained there was Gabriel, who came to the Countesses and spoke "I'm sorry. I didn't know they had this kind of agreement."

"It's okay Gabriel, we are going to figure something out," spoke Isobel but then her eyes turned lifeless.

"Because if we don't, my son-in-law is going to be angry."

Imagining what could happen with his Draconic Darkness powers, she gulped as her inner fire exploded. She narrowed her eyes but felt she was starting to get horny again just by thinking about him which frustrated her even more.

'Why is this happening to me?!' she thought.

[... Aragos, Sangruil's territory ...]

"Hahahahahaha~" Christopher laughed madly as he fought the blood-toxic being.

Every toxic attack he parried, every damage he took, every hit he did, all this helped him to grow stronger.

This is what he needed. Someone strong enough to make him use all his strength and abilities, someone who can push his limits.

"More, More, MORE! HAHAHAHAHA~" he was enjoying this battle but it was not entertaining just for him.

The snake-like being was enjoying this fight too.

ROAR! The creature roared and spun on the ground, sending a few toxic wooden spikes from its tail toward Christopher.

He tried to block all of them but one hit his left shoulder and sent him a few meters away.

*COUCH Christopher couched blood on the floor as the poison slowly destroyed his arm but his smile never left his face.

"This is what I'm talking about hahaha! But I don't have much time so let's end this already." he got up and disappeared in the shadows.

The being looked around but he was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, a beam of purple light appeared in the sky, and in the next second, Samantha saw Christopher falling towards the being while spinning in the air and aiming the blade of his spear at its head.

The being looked up and positioned itself, sending five balls of blood poison toward him.

The creature looked like a cannon firing cannon balls.

Reaching the poisonous balls, Christopher spun more as the blade of his weapon sliced the balls like butter.

Samantha opened her eyes wide when she saw that the poison started forming a spiral around Christopher and the more poison he destroyed, the more the spiral thicker.

It even resembled some kind of shield and when Christopher was reaching the creature, he threw the spiral towards it.

The spiral spun and started piercing its body like a sword. It was interesting for Samantha to see blood poison acting like blades of swords.

The creature started hissing and it's shrieks were heard for miles.

Opening it's mouth, the creature wanted to fire its poison again but was surprised when Christopher in a blink of an eye appeared in front of him and threw his spear through its mouth.

"Kiss of Darkness," he said and when the incantation reached the being's ears, its eyes widened and its body exploded, dying on the spot.

Still a few meters above the ground, he disappeared and appeared next to Samantha who looked at everything with a shock, while catching his spear that flew towards her, sent by the explosion.

"You alright?" he asked casually with a wide smile.

'Congratulations Christopher. Your recklessness unlocked one of your Darkness' and one of your powers that belonged to your previous vampire self' said the voice of his system and showed him what he gained by killing the beast.

When he was about to click on it, all that was left of the creature turned into black mist and flew toward Christopher.

'Now, you can summon the beasts you killed, using your mana' the system's voice spoke again.

"What? Explain" he said and Ardelean replayed.

["Basically, you can do what only Vampire Progenitors, Gods, Demons, Angels, or Entities like Light and Darkness can. Summoning the souls of the deceased is a dark ability but also a very useful one."]

"Interesting" Christopher placed his hand on his chin and listened to Ardelean's explanation.

["Like I said, first are Gods. Basic Gods like Greeks, Norse Gods, Shinto Gods, Hindus, and others. Because of their authority and divinity, they can manipulate the souls but not everyone. Mainly God kings or queens or a few others. Mostly those who are related to souls and death can do that."]

["Seconds are the creations of Heavenly Father, Demons and Angels plus Heavenly Father himself. You know the story, demons are bad and Angels with God are good. Demons have control over bad aspects of the soul while Angels and God have the opposite. We can talk about it later."]

["Third are the Entities. You already know almost everything I ever found out about my master and his ahm... EX wife. It's almost the same as with demons and angels. The only difference is that the entities have much greater authority than creations of Heavenly Father which means if a bad soul was called by the Demon King and The Darkness entity at the same time, the Darkness with higher authority would win and the soul would be consumed by it."]

["The next thing is that, that Demons and Angels are 'ruling' over an entire dimension and entities are some kind of 'dimensions' themselves. Entities are absorbing, summoning, or selling souls, while Demons and Angels are only looking for them to take their respective parts and let the soul be used for reincarnation or be recycled."]

["And the last one are Vampire Progenitors. They are what you were in the past. The beginning of a new race and new bloodline. They are the strongest of the Vampires and have power over blood, which is a bargaining chip that holds your soul and body together, but they can control much more. We just don't know how it works, YET..."]

Christopher narrowed his eyes "What do you mean by made?... Turned?"

["Yes made or turned, because there are some even stronger than Progenitors and they came from them. The Originals..."]

"The Originals? Who are they? The name sounds somehow... strong," he asked.

["Shhhh you stupid puppet. You can't just speak these words loud."]

"Sorry, but why?"

["Hah... Fine. The Originals are the strongest and the true first Original Vampires in our known universe. The youngest is around ten thousand years old and you were one of them."]

"But isn't that impossible? You said that Progenitors are the strongest that they can make, not Originals," he whispered

["It should be but, because of me inside you and thanks to the one who turned you, it was done. I don't know more."]

["But, the point of this talk is that as a host for the Darkness, you have around 50% of the Darkness' authority in you. So almost every soul should listen to you. Living or dead, you just need to concentrate."]

"Okay," Christopher nodded to himself.

The entire talk was around five minutes long but Samantha was still frozen in her shocked state, buried deep in her thoughts without the slightest concern about the world.

Suddenly "Are you coming!" Christopher spoke a little louder which finally made Samantha wake up from her stupor. She nodded and started walking deeper into the ruins, following a pretty strong and handsome friend who was about to conquer an entire planet without knowing it.

[... Redwilnet ...]

Arriving at her mansion in Redwilnet, Isobel locked herself in her room and lay on the bed.

She took the pillow on her left side and pressed it against her face. The pillow still contained the scent of her dead husband who died in the fight against the Royal Werewolf family.

"They take you away from me and now they want to take our daughter too?!" she mumbled under the pillow as the temperature around started rising significantly.

Then, she placed the pillow back where it was and stood up. Her eyes glowed with blood-red fire as the hatred she locked in herself for the Werewolves doubled in intensity.

"AAAAAAHhhhh" she screamed from frustration as a pair of wings, made from orange flames, formed on her back.

They were so hot that if someone or something touched them, the object would burn and melt.

"How dare they!" she shouted and punched the ground under her, successfully destroying it.

Then, she flew into the hole she made and landed in a dark place. The walls, ground, and ceiling were made from grey stone and the only light was coming from that hole in the ceiling she came through.

"Oh, my dear husband. In three days, I'm going to take my revenge on you. I'm finally going to destroy them!" she shouted the last sentence as an incredibly fast object suddenly got up from the ground and flew towards her.

With each second, the object started liting up with fire and when it was about to pierce Isobel, she caught it and looked at it with a nostalgic gaze.

The object was a western sword with a red-leathered handle and runes on its silver blade. It was used by her husband a long time ago, against the dragon who was protecting Isobel and her now-dead clan.

He wanted to marry her but he needed to do one simple task. Defeat a dragon that was made from her parent's power.

It was a rough fight, but he won and married Isobel. A thing like it was straight from a child's story.

That day, he built this prison so the sword's power would not wreak havoc in the supernatural world, because when you kill a dragon, its soul would transfer itself into the weapon you used, in this case, it was the sword.

"Hi Fenrax, I missed you," she said as the sword's flames lit up even more.

"Are you ready for some battles?" she asked as a bloodthirsty smile appeared on her face.

Her eyes glowed with flames of madness and the sword slowly started gaining previous power from her soul.

Little controlled by the sword, she looked up and flew with the help of her wings through her mansion's roof, towards an abandoned place.

"..."

In Báthory mansion was happening something similar. Celeste was walking with Elizabeth towards a room that hides clan Báthory's strongest weapon.

A spear whose blade was made by the frozen blood of the ice dragon that lived in the North of Redwilnet's kingdom. The dragon's name was Ismael and he was on the list of the top five of the strongest and deadliest beings in this mirror dimension.

Ismael was on the third spot and under him was another dragon whose name was Litherax. The dragon controlled the lightning of this planet and every day, his soul was in the shape of two black daggers with golden details accompanying Countess Celeste.

"Are you sure about this?" she asked her friend who stopped in front of big doors covered in ice.

"You know what happened to us the last time we used these weapons together." Celeste continued with a worried tone. The power of the three dragon artifacts was too great to be controlled by some mere Vampires.

The dragon's will was too much even for them and the last time they used them, the dragons controlled their minds and because of that, almost the entire dimension was destroyed by the hands of the three Countesses.

"I don't like it either but Isobel already took the sword and I know you felt it too. The only power that can stop the dragon is another dragon so we don't have much of a choice. She is ready to commit a mass genocide because of her hatred and Fenrax is going to empower that hatred even more."

"We can't let her destroy the entire race!" Elizabeth spoke and broke the ice seal that was holding the spear.

The door opened itself and what Celeste saw made her drown in shock. The entire room was frozen, even some statues of Vampires who tried to take the spear were there, frozen.

Celeste shuddered when she saw it and felt her daggers shaking with excitement. It was really hard for her to control them.

Of the three, Litherax was the easiest to control, but even after spending so much time with the daggers, Celeste progressed by about 5%. Now, he is taking her like a new friend, but he doesn't stop teasing her or her mind with visions of Christopher.

"You are annoying you know that?" she spoke and looked at the daggers, filled with lightning power.

'This is going to be hard' she thought and looked at Elizabeth who finally reached the spear.

Picking it up, the spear looked like it was made from pure silver, the blade glowed with slight blue light and weird runes started appearing from its handle towards the blade located on the other side.

When the runes stopped craving themselves into the silver material, they started glowing with intense blue light and the spear exploded with power. Elizabeth felt fear when the spear woke up and even thought she saw Ismael's eye in the blade.

But, knowing already what the dragon wanted to do, she injected her power into the spear to subdue a little of the dragon's soul and slammed the handle against the ground.

The pressure from that spear lessened and Elizabeth's fear disappeared.

"Ready?" Elizabeth spoke and looked at Celeste who shuddered from what she saw.

Elizabeth's left eye turned completely ice-blue with dragon-like iris and the place around her eye was covered with Ismael's blue skin.

"Are you okay?!" Celeste asked in concern "This never happened before!"

"Yes, I am. He just needed a little snack" she joked.

Celeste nodded with suspicion but then turned and with Elizabeth, they left to the place where Isobel went with Fenrax.

[... Aragos, Sangruil's territory ...]

After wandering around an hour through the ruins of the village, Christopher and Samantha heard a faint cry from near the house.

Coming closer, they found stone stairs leading under the house.

"You wait here or are you coming with me," Christopher asked with a blood-thirsty smile, knowing that down there was going to be so much fun.

"Of course, I'm coming with you!" She spoke with confidence and passed him.

Christopher just slightly shook his head and showed an amused smile. Then, he followed Samantha down to the underground.

After a few steps, Samantha suddenly stopped and slowly turned to Christopher who started laughing like crazy.

A small black widow was sitting on Samantha's nose as she started shaking with hand and praying to Christopher to take the spider away.

After he laughed a few seconds, he slowly took the spider and placed her on the wall, a little further away.

When he saw the spider, he remembered Yua, his maid who was an Arachne and with a slight smile, he continued walking deeper and deeper until they finally arrived at the final location.

"What is this?" Christopher asked as he crouched and sneaked with Samantha to the nearby hiding spot. It was some kind of stone railing.

"It looks like a sabbat? They are making some kind of ritual," Samantha noted and Christopher looked around.

They were on some kind of underground balcony on which each side was a stone staircase that led down. They were now hiding behind a stone railing of that balcony and when they looked down, they saw at least twenty men in blue and red ritual clothes and with different animal masks covering their faces.

"Nah, fuck it," Christopher said and jumped down before Samantha could say something.

["Use that dagger. Pierce it to the ground! Quickly!"] Ardelean started shouting at Christopher who looked at the twenty man a few meters away from him, preparing to fight him.

Doing what Ardelean said, he pulled the dagger and thrust the blade into the ground. The dagger released three waves of purple light and then absorbed them back. But the light was not the only thing that came.

Darkness from all corners of this underground place together with all souls that died there came with the light and Christopher absorbed them all.

It looked like a cloud of black shadows and in that cloud were thousands of corpses.

The corpses which were the dead souls, looked alive as their shrieks sounded through the underground cave.

'Congratulations user. You gained enough darkness essence to temporarily unlock one of your locked Darkness skills. Which one do you want to unlock?' The system's voice spoke.

Forming a wide smile, Christopher got up from the ground with his dagger and hid it, while saying "Guys tell me, what are you doing here with that innocent girl?"

Samantha narrowed her eyes "Innocent girl?"

She looked better and saw a girl in the same age as her sister, hiding behind a wooden table while trembling in fear.

The twenty men just looked at each other and started laughing while one of them spoke "We are Vampires so, what do you think? Haven't you ever heard about blood magic?"

"Nah I think he didn't," spoke another.

"What is your name stranger?" asked the next one.

"Why do you need to know?" Christopher replayed while picking up the skill he wanted to temporarily unlock.

"Why? So we would know what type of shit we should write on your gravestone bwahahahahaha!"

One of them laughed but when he wanted to add more of his primitive jokes, a black tentacle with a serpent-like head made from shadows, flew through his neck, and pulled his heart out from his back.

Everything happened so quickly that the man didn't have time to scream or shout and his friends just looked at Christopher like he was some kind of demon.

With two serpent-head tentacles on his back and sword in his hand, Christopher spoke "You wanted to know my name?" and took a step forward towards the nineteen man.

"Well then, you can call me the bringer of Death~," he said as his and the serpents' eyes glowed red while his tattoos and the veins that were visible on the serpent-like tentacles glowed purple.
