I get on a motorcycle, "where are you going?" Ai asked
"I want to relieve some stress"
"do you want me to come?"
"It's your choice"
Then she sat behind me, I then got off and gave her a helmet. "you know that a helmet won't really help me that much"
"I want you to be safe" I said and got on the motorcycle and drove off to the military base that we raided. Wearing nothing but some casual clothes such as black trousers and a white t shirt.
I saw a horde of zombies and stopped the motorcycle. Ai and I take off our helmets and get off the motorcycle facing the zombies.
"there are at least 300 of them, around 150 slow ones, 100 fast ones and 50 or more evolved ones, are sure about facing them alone with only your katana?"
I unsheathed my katana and walked towards them as they rushed towards me. "Don't worry too much, these are only to relieve myself, I wouldn't fight them if they will cause me more stress, noh?" I said and started annihilating them.
Hidden in the bushes, a group of scouts followed Souta's every move. They were his loyal protectors, ready to risk their lives for him.
"That leader of ours... he's incredible, isn't he?" One of the scouts whispered, admiring Souta's bravery.
"Yeah... fighting a horde like that is no easy feat. We could handle the slow ones, maybe even the fast ones, but the evolved ones? Hell no, even Sir Roger and Sir Rex would struggle against them with only melee weapons."
"That's why he's our leader, the only man who can face a horde of zombies with the evolved ones and call it stress relief. He's amazing."
"The way he fights them, targeting the evolved ones first, then the fast ones, while ignoring the slow ones. He's a beast."
"Shut up! And stay alert!" A man snapped, aiming his sniper rifle at the horde, ready to assist Souta if needed.
"Yes, sir!" They replied in unison, recognizing him as the leader of the protection squad. Their faces were covered in black masks, and they wore ghillie suits to blend in with the forest.
On the opposite side of the forest, another group of Souta's protectors was concealed in the foliage. They were all women who owed their lives to Souta.
"What do you think? He's worthy to be served, noh?" The leader of the group asked, her voice full of admiration.
"Whatever, he's my savior, our savior. It's only given that I would do anything for him even if it cost me my life" the vice leader answered, her tone firm and resolute.
"How cold, because of him we saved many people. These people" She gestured to the rest of the group, who nodded in agreement. They were ten in total, all dressed in black and armed with sniper rifles, ready to shoot any zombies that threatened Souta.
This group was a secret group, unknown to the people in the base. They were the women that Souta had rescued from the marketplace and from other places where they had suffered the same fate.
They had been trained by Shana in secret, and Shana had ordered them to protect Souta at all costs.
"Whatever, just focus on your job" the vice leader said
The leader then giggled and said, "okay~"
Meanwhile, in the base:
Chloe and her group of scientists were positioned for her. "We have to do our best! And protect the best to the upcoming nuke!" She said hyperly
"Wooo!!" They shouted
Leo then knocked on the open door, "oh? Leo! Why are you here?" She said, then ran towards her.
"I want to talk to you about something"
"Oh? Are you gonna confess to me?"
"Please don't joke around too much"
"Ouch, anyways, what do you want?"
"Let's walk around, shall we?"
"Okay~ I'll be going for a walk for now, okay? I'll be right back" Chloe said to her companions
"Take care" they said happily
They then began to walk around, "so? What do you want?"
"It's about the nuke. What are the chances that we could survive that?"
"Hmmm, given the information that they will only nuke the big cities and the closest big cities is around 100 km away from here, and given the geographical context of this base being surrounded by mountains and forest, it may provide some level of natural protection from the direct impact of the nuclear blast. However, the aftermath could still pose challenges. The base might experience fallout, potential disruptions in communication, and environmental changes. "

"People will still die from the fallout, right?"

"I thought so. There is no time to build an underground bunker. And underground bunker that is enough to fit us all and able to live there peacefully after the fallout would be ideal. However, I don't think there is a bunker like that near here"
"Well the construction and existence of such bunkers would likely be classified information or not widely disclosed to the public you know"
"You're right. Also, it might also have been already being used by the military and the government by now."
Leo sighed, "What can we do now?"
"Well, we can only hope that Ai knows something about it, right?" Chloe said then saw Ai and Souta walking to the mansion "Speak of the devil, we should ask her"
We just got back, I'm now feeling better than before. I let out some steam. Hmm? Is that Leo and Chloe?
"Souta! Souta! I want to talk to you about something!" Chloe shouted while running towards me
"Oh? What is it?" I asked
She and Leo got closer to us, and we were in front of the gate. The soldiers were opening it for us. "You're just in time! Leo and I are talking about something! You know, about the nuke?" She said
We walk in the gates towards the mansion, and the first floor, again, is always busy. "Hmmm… let's talk to my office" I said, there is too many people here after all.
