Alice suddenly became alert and stared at Allen like she was trying to find out if he was lying, but that thought was quickly thrown out as the proof of his truthfulness could be clearly seen by the last test.
"*sigh* Well, I guess if you are hearing about talents you should hear about the Goddess." As she spoke the word Goddess Alice's face seemed to brighten as if it was the greatest thing in the world.
Allen, remembering the stupidity of what the Laughing God had given him, suddenly felt jealous knowing someone was actually enjoying a time with such a being. "It seems like your 'Goddess' treats you well. I was 'Blessed' by a being calling themselves the 'Laughing God' which seems to take pleasure in my suffering."
Alice instead looked at him like he was crazy, "How can you be blessed and cursed?"
Allen only sighed and began explaining everything about his devour talent. What he obtained from it and explaining how the note that usually gives more information seemed to make fun of him. How the god even blocked his class selection for some unknown reason.
Alice who had only known gods through her Goddess suddenly felt happier being blessed by such a great goddess. "My Goddess calls herself the Goddess of Fate! She is the greatest! She led me to my soulmate Feno here, and even helps me become far stronger even without the stat points."
"*sigh* you are very luck-"
"I know right! My talent is called 'Fate Leads' and it makes sure that everything regarding luck around me will become the best for me! It is the best! Everyone I have summoned has an enhanced tag next to them and are far more powerful than my regular human stats! I can do anything and my Goddess will guide me! I love her so much! She is so great and she felt I had a similar personality to her and even blessed me!"
Allen felt even worse about who 'blessed' him hearing how fanatical Alice sounded. He could only look to Feno for help. Feno had also realized his wife had already started rambling about the greatness of her Goddess and decided to calm the situation.
"Alright you can talk about her greatness later, we have some important matters to discuss and get started."
Alice slowly calmed down as she glared at Feno for interrupting her, but she still understood and nodded allowing Feno to breathe a sigh of relief.
"Well my talent is called 'The Tree's Bounty' and it allows me to summon new Elves that have been born from our Mother Tree! Of course, I can only summon 1 at a time and only once a week because of my weak power, but I can summon any elf at the same type level as I am or below it. For example Fire Elves and Sand Elves. It also has a bunch of restrictions that I would rather not get into."
Allen who was listening attentively to the talent suddenly thought of something. The vitality stone was labeled as a crystalized Titan blood when he upgraded Almos, so would the plant stone have something to do with the Mother Tree? Deciding to bring the stones when he gave them the forest wolves, Allen moved on for now.
"How about skills? I'll go first." Allen then explained how Bestow worked and how it helps cut through the bear's thick skin. How the side effect of extreme pain works.
Alice smiled and spoke proudly after Allen finished, "My skill is similar to that! It is called 'Loves Gift' it also has the 'Enhanced' tag next to it! It has what the Goddess says is a side effect and allows me to see who fate deems should be my husband! Then after that, it allows me to connect myself to him allowing me to get the same statistics he has, as well as giving him a boost when I add stat points to myself!" She then made a sour face as she glared at Feno, "Well it also helps him because he doesn't feel the pain and only gets a warm feeling..."
After glaring at Feno a bit more she finally got back on track, "That isn't even all of it! I can also give my subordinates the same stats I got from Feno! I can even add energy to the skill to make the boost more than just what I got from Feno! I am at least happy he is this useful, but it really is my Goddess that does the heavy lifting!"
Feno let out a long sigh, "You know it is at times like these that I truly wonder if you truly love me?"
Alice put on a face that seemed sad, "I could only love you, and that scares me... Will I love you more than our children?"
Allen who was feeling like a third wheel could only interrupt the couple that seemed like they would start making out any second now. "*ahem* Feno how about you? What Skill do you have?"
Feno who was lost in Alice's eyes suddenly woke up and quickly put on a serious expression, "My skill is called 'Enhance' and all it does is give all my subordinates a 20% boost to their skills. It is even ranked E just so you know how bad it is. My wife over there is ranked A."
Allen took in all the knowledge as the group started moving on to the topics of how they could use their skills and talents to the best of their ability, and what they should do in certain situations that Alice and Feno thought up. By the end of the meeting, Alice had decided to never level up, Allen decided he should join hunting efforts as long as his skill was off cooldown, and Feno decided to join the hunting efforts to level him up as fast as possible.
Soon after leaving, Allen arrived back within the hour with the group of Forest Wolves in tow. This time he brought the two plant stones, and even bought a life stone from the trade channel to see if Feno would recognize it as having something to do with the 'Mother Tree'.
Feno once again came out and greeted him alone having left Alice in the house. Just as he smiled formally his face suddenly changed as his face suddenly became serious, "Lord Allen might I know why you have the crystalized water of our Mother Tree with you?... Even the sap of the mother tree as well?"
Allen saw Feno's face that seemed like it was ready to suffer under the contract just to attack him. "Feno calm down, I brought them here to see if they had something to do with the 'Mother Tree' you mentioned. It turns out I was right. Let us talk inside so I can explain."
Despite his anger, Feno also realized he shouldn't jump to conclusions and led the way inside. Alice was enjoying tea sitting at the makeshift table they sat around before. She quickly noticed her husband's anger and quickly got up.
"What happened?" Speaking quickly in a worried tone Alice looked afraid of what happened.
Feno quickly calmed her down and got her to sit down. "Now, Lord Allen, tell me why you have such sacred objects."
Allen took out the two plant stones and life stone on the table as he spoke calmly, "You see the system labels these crystals as plant stones and life stones. They are sold like elemental stones. As you might have guessed if not for your anger, I had no idea what the items were to you."
Feno quickly calmed down completely and soon realized how unlikely it was for anyone to have gotten their hands on the stones before this. "I am sorry for my previous outburst. Allen, I hope you would forgive me. You said sold, so on the trade channel? Is it alright if I grab these?"
Allen nodded, "I can give them to you if they mean so much to you. You see Elemental stones are used to upgrade troops and summoning circles."
Feno nodded and quickly grabbed the crystals like they were the greatest treasure ever made. "I can even upgrade myself! HAHA! This power that was only available to the highest nobles through rituals is now available to be at my fingertips!
You said I can use them for myself?" After Allen nodded Feno excitedly used a plant stone on himself. "I shall become a noble myself! HAHAHA!"
Alice on the other hand seemed completely unconcerned with the mad raving of her husband even as he fell to the ground screaming in pain. "Sometimes I wish I had gotten myself a smarter soulmate..."
Allen who had seen this process happen through Almos knew it was painful and didn't mind, but seeing Alice lamenting the stupidity of her husband he suddenly felt bad for the screaming Feno.
"Do you know how long he will take to stop his evolution?" Alice's very calm voice cut through the screams of Feno.
"Umm... Well, Almos over there went through a similar process that lasted two hours... Lady Alice, may I know why you aren't worried? Or even care about your husband's pain?"
Alice smiled a sweet smile, "Well he liked to gloat that he didn't feel any pain while I added my stat points. He claimed the Goddess liked him better than me. Now he is just getting his retribution..."
