" Is your arm alright? " Yang was helping me move right now as we walk away from the clashing Inters in the broken Lair.
" It's broken, and I can't move it much, but I'll survive. "
Damn... It hurts a lot. My arm barely moves, and I know it won't heal by itself despite my strengthened body. I don't think looking for anyone in this state would be smart. If a roaming Shrieker finds us by chance, I won't be able to escape it at all.
" Let's go and find a building, I don't think we can look for the others in that state. " Yang seems to have the same idea.
I might've gone crazy... Why am I doing this for people I've met last week.

I don't know. I just need to rest right now and wait until Mr. Froil wins his fight.

" Can you go up the stairs? "
We were now inside a tall building. It would be best to hide at the top most parts of the building, as Shriekers would struggle in climbing and finding us if it tries to. It could easily climb the sides though, just like the first Shrieker me and Rena found, but it wouldn't find us easily, so we should be fine.
" Yeah, I'm a little tired, but I can handle something like that. "
We walked up the stairs, with the fight between Mr. Froil and Pleis reverberating throughout the area.
" This should be a good place. "
We were at the 35th floor, about 5 floors lower than the roof.
" Let's find a place. I think a room with a hole on it would be great to check on Mr. Froil and the fight. "

" Hmm... This room should be it. " We found a room which was releasing some light through the cracks of its door, so it should have a hole inside.
There's also a door, so that's a bonus.
Yang reaches for the knob and opens the door, but as soon as he does. Vines escape from the other side and rushes towards Yang, constricting him in place.
" What?! " Yang shouts in surprise, as we were completely off guard by the thought that only Shriekers are the threat here.
What now?!
We were ready to fight back, even though I was nervous about my status. But it seems like we didn't need to do that.
" Yang? " It seems like it was just a classmate.
" Joel? Shit, man, you scared the hell out of me. "
" Sorry... I'm not taking chances, you know. " Joel releases Yang from his grasp before opening the door.
" Oh.. hey. " Joel says awkwardly as he noticed me.
Joel wasn't really someone I had befriended, despite being in Rena's side. Most of them thinks commoners are below them, so it was hard to talk to any of them at all.
They are only like this, and act all meekly, because they know my capabilities. Also, the fact that I wasn't afraid to face Reign and abuse the Sense rule were both added bonuses. That's why being superior is the best way to live a quiet life amongst people like this.
" Come in... " Joel waves us in.
" Kimi and Jodi are here too. We're just hiding until whatever's happening out there stops. " Joel says while pointing at Mr. Froil who was clashing with Pleis.
" We- We also saw Shriekers before this as well. They... they took Hans with them, before we could escape. " Joel looks at the floor, filled with guilt and sadness.
I didn't need to know what happened for me to know the cause and result with that look.
" D-do you guys know what's happening? "
" Yeah... we know. We know a lot at that matter. " Yang stares at the nervous people in front of him.

" What?! A goddamn Inter was responsible for all of this? " The same reaction everyone had the moment they saw Pleis, flushed in Joel's and the others faces. A horrifying look, by the thought of another intelligent creature that are currently aiming for our lives.
Reign and Jian were all dead, Mr. Gerald's a traitor, and all the way from when Pleis acted like Mr. Froil. The shock on their faces was reasonable with the sudden burst of information they just received.
Despair, started to show in their faces, but Mr. Froil who was still fiercely fighting, was preventing them to go crazy.
" This... "
" What do we do... "
" Nothing, we rest and wait for Mr. Froil. " Yang says in a low yet powerless tone.
Joel and the rest then focused their sights on Mr. Froil, He was their only hope, so they only watched him in nervousness.
" I need to use the restroom. " I say out loud. I've been holding it since the moment we found Mr. Froil, but this was the only time I could actually pee safely, so I need to go now.
" Can you stand up? "
" Yeah, I'm fine. I'll be back in a bit. "
There should be no danger anyway.
" Alright, stay safe. "
I went outside and looked for the restroom. I could've peed anywhere, but I'm an actor alright. I can't just ruin my image like this.
I wonder how Kate and the others are doing. It would be hard for Shrieker to track them down, with Kate's ability, but it's not impossible. I'm worried, but I couldn't do anything.
Anyway, I should watch Mr. Froil as well. I'm getting anxious without doing anything. It's pretty darn dark in this restroom, though. There's no window nor any cracks where light could go through. The door is open, but the hallway outside is dark as well. I should be careful in case I catch some debris with my foot and fall on my broken arm.
But damn... this darkness is making my quite uneasy...
As I exit the restroom, a shiver suddenly goes down my spine.
I could see hair, behind the corner of the left turn in front of me.
Was the darkness tripping me out? I wasn't scared of ghosts, but that is on Earth. Ghosts, in this world, are terrifying Inters, fully capable of haunting and hurting you.
" Please... " As if it wasn't scary enough, it suddenly speaks in a soft yet frightened voice.
" Please... "
Wait...
Although it seemed like it should terrify me more, the voice removed all the nervousness in me as I recognized who had that exact same voice.
" Kate? " I call out loud.
As I do so, she suddenly flinched, and turns towards me. Surely enough, it was Kate. But why does she have such a horrified look on her face?
