It was the next day and despite having classes just a few minutes from now, I was still staring at the floating panel in front of me.
It's the copied and weakened version of the Hunter Shop system that Sol owns. It was incredibly similar, but there were obviously some missing features on my end.
The similarities include the Analysis sheets, which show me a decently detailed analysis of a person's stats.

It works on other people too as I peek through my window looking at the passing students walking around the campus. Though I did regret doing so, as the number of panels that appeared in front of me was something too much for my senses to handle.
The next is the most important part of the system. The reason why system novels are incredibly broken. The Quests panel.

Yeah... it's basically asking me to become an attention seeker. Though I couldn't even complain as it was the most fitting system for me. I had experience on how to gain attention and I can confidently say I do have the hardware to complete such a task. I couldn't complain much despite it being incredibly weaker than the original version. It was all main quests and there's no flexibility in the quests I currently have.
It also gives you a selection and a set reward rather than a point system that you could trade for in the shop. Well, this system didn't have a shop in the first place, so It's good enough.
And that's about it...
I don't have the lottery tab and the shop tab, but I'm satisfied with what I have as of now. I have to focus on reaching the first goal for now and actually received an offensive ability. I have a rough idea of what to get as I look at my stats, but getting to the point where I can actually choose comes first.
With that being said, the speakers scattered throughout the whole campus started to work announcing the commencement of the academic year calling for everyone to gather at the school center.
Alright, guess my life finally starts.
I tidied up my wrinkled uniform as I rise up from my bed. I made sure to check everything twice before going out of the room. Though it's not like I had to as there was an automatic system in the room already removing all usage of electricity and water the moment it can't detect any living being within the perimeter. Old habits die hard I guess...

As I walk through the crowded campus, I realized a few things about my system. Attention comes when there are clear interests in someone towards me. It can't come from the same person, as the people who I saw yesterday, despite having the same reactions as the others, didn't give me any points.

Damn... now that school has officially started, Sense finally showed its true colors. The number of people ranging from students, staff, and even servants were scattered everywhere giving off a busy vibe of just like a city.
It's incredible...
Though this massive place was brimming with people, it wasn't that difficult to walk toward the school center as pretty much everyone started going to that area.

It seems like the ceremony started already. I'm still far from the center, and I won't be able to make it in time if I take any longer than this. The main characters will be brought up the stage to showcase the aspiring students in their first years, and I can't miss that.

Damn, that was a workout.
I've finally arrived at the wide park filled to the brim with students. There stood a small mansion in the very north of the park, where the principal of the school stood on its huge balcony saying the opening rights and all of the formalities.
I was relatively far away, as I arrived late but I had no problems seeing the front due to the massive screen directly on the right side of the mansion.
An old man with long white hair stood dignified and friendly in front of the big screen. There he is... Griza himself. He had droopy eyes, typical of an aged man, giving him quite a friendly atmosphere.
" What a speech from the Sentinel of Sense himself. Sir Dean Griza Duke. "
" But before we go on our own ways, We would like to showcase the future prospects of Sense. The students that are highly likely to be incredible front runners of humanity. Ladies and gentlemen, not only 1 but 5 individuals are seen to have the potential to reach the highest ranking"
The main host of the ceremony walked towards the center of the balcony, making it look like a presidential speech.
Finally, it's them.
" The Five Pillars! "
The title was given to the main characters of Earthly Guardian, due to their immense potential.
" These students are the future of humanity! 5 students will definitely reach the S rank and even pierce through the current rankings! "
This was done in the story to obviously show the main characters, but Sense does this, to raise the hope of humanity and gather the attention of people and investors. It's also a show of power towards other academies, as the rivalry between funds and resources has been growing fierce lately.
