Chapter 4 - Truth doesn't change the way we lie

Now

Meeting the new cast went by quite peacefully to my surprise. I still can’t get my head wrapped around the idea that I will act with Vincent, kiss with Vincent and the most horrific thing of all, have sex-scenes with Vincent. After a long and excruciating night I finally returned to my hotel. Tomorrow Sharon and I have decided that I’ll move everything to the official hotel so I need to be awake by 10. Which I see as a problem, but I’ll make it work.

I take a wonderful bath and rewind everything that happened, from the moment that Vincent entered, to the end where Vincent left with Violet. I don’t know where their evening ended or still will end. Vincent is the only real relationship I’ve ever had in my 27 years of life. Of course I’ve had stupid boyfriend throughout but they weren’t the same. I don’t know. Perhaps when I was younger I painted this beautiful picture with Vincent and I still can’t let it go. I let my head sink in the warm water.

When I stare through my window the thoughts rerise. I allow myself to study his face and posture for a while. Today was excruciating, he looked so amazing while reading his newspaper with the sleeves of his white blouse rolled up to his elbow and the muscles that almost exploded the fabric.

My phone buzzed, I expected it to be Trevor or Sharon, but no.

[Cast of Almost Falling on you]

Sharon} Sharon :)

Pandora. {me

A group app? Is this seriously needed? I don’t see the urge. I close my curtains finally and walk towards the bed. I put on my warm socks and my phone continues buzzing.

unknown number ###} Vincent.

Violet} Oh Vincent, thank you for bringing me home by the way ;)

Seriously? This woman is starting to get on my nerves.

Vincent} No problem, Violet.

Roman} Tomorrow guys we’re going to walk around in London, it’s going to be cold so don’t forget your clothing Pandorah!

Pandorah? Is that even a name? I let out a laugh at the text before replying.

My name is Pandora, but thank you for the advice Roman! {me

Sharon} It’s PandorA Ramon!!!!

Vincent} It is Pandora, Ramon.

All the messages come at once. Vincent? Why would he correct Ramon about my name? It is a question I should ask, but I don’t want to because the warmth in my stomach isn’t a feeling I’d like to kill.

==========================================================

“I’m happy to announce to you that you will share a room with me!” Sharon shrieked as we finally sat down in the car loaded with my stuff. It took us around an hour, which is faster than I imagined it would take.

“That sounds fine with me.”

“Everyone except us and Felix live here in the neighbourhood, so we won’t be bothered.”

“Amazing news.” She laughed. It felt great to have one friend around here and as briefly Sharon and I met it feels like ages already.

After we organised all my stuff into her room it was finally time to go meet the others to go into London. The trip is only fun when you haven’t been in London or haven’t been in a long time. Vincent lives here, Violet lives here, Ramon lives here, Zelda lives here, Otis lives here, I don’t even understand why they are going.

We all try to go into London without any bodyguards, limousines, camera’s to draw the least amount of attention to ourselves. We are just all going for a small bonding trip. That’s how Sharon mentioned it. Sharon and I talk about what we want to see and do while we are waiting for the others to arrive. Violet comes with Otis by her side which is quite a surprise for us. We already expected to see her with Vincent. She’s wearing a short skirt with a pair of leggings underneath. Sharon and I share a look before we greet them.

“Oh my god! I love that purse, where did you get it?” Violet shouted, I looked down at my purse. It was something that I’ve had for ages since I was 12 or something. It was vintage and I always wore it around my shoulder. “I don’t remember,” She looks uninterested at me and my purse before continuing to talk about something to Otis.

Zelda said she couldn’t make it because she’s shooting scenes for her other movies. So it will be just me, Sharon, Felix, Otis, Violet, Vincent and Ramon. Sharon can’t stop talking about Ramon, it’s like she fell in love with him at first sight, they did share a few words but that’s it, but for Sharon it certainly wasn’t enough.

“Oh Vincent!” I heard a voice shriek. Vincent was walking towards us, wearing a mask, sunglasses and a hat, to come by unnoticed by all the spectators. Unlike us, except Zelda, we are not the most popular actors right now, so we don’t have to be dramatic about our looks. He was also wearing a long dark brown Trench coat with a black turtleneck underneath and classic black pants, which seemed to be part of a suit. He looked astonishing.

Let the trip begin!

“Hello?” I hoped that I wouldn’t screw up my lines. I walked towards Vincent who was standing a bit further. He turned around and Wow, the clothing that he was wearing suited him incredibly. I know I hate him but that doesn't mean I can’t check him out.

“Hello.” He reads his line.

“Who are you? And what are you doing here?”

“I’m Jack, Jack Goodwile. I just moved into this neighbourhood so I was walking around.”

The lines go smoothly. There are no hidden messages of hate, no kicks, no slaps, nothing. Everything goes by pretty amazing. “You did great.” I looked up at him, to see not a trace of sarcasm on his face. I frown and look at him, he lets out a laugh for the first time and my heart stops at the image and sound. I shrug and slap him in the shoulder. He immediately starts running after me around the set. This is absolutely unfair, his legs are almost as big as my entire body, that’s a bit exaggerated, but still it's unfair.

I trip under a wire below my feet and fall into the grass. Vincent stops before me and stares at my body that’s still laying on the grass. “Well, well, how many times have I told you to not punch me?” I scoffed at his statement. “That wasn’t a punch, that was barely a slap!” “I know the difference between a punch and a slap and that was seriously a punch.” I laughed at how serious he was about this situation, I stood up and, this time punched him full in his chest. His chest is rockhard. He didn’t move. Which scared me even more. My knuckles hurt because I did it, so he must feel something.

“I am giving you ten seconds to run for your life, my dear.” My heart stopped at the nickname but it didn’t stop me from running. I ran for my life, as far as I could. I laid down in the high grass and hoped that I wasn’t visible. When I heard footsteps around me I started crawling further away. I didn't know where I crawled but apparently down a hill. I lost my balance and rolled down the hill, I shouted and tried to stop.

“Pandora!” I heard him shout, “For fucking sake!” He came running down towards me. Suddenly I was being swept off the ground into someone's arms. Vincent. “I gave you ten seconds to run, not roll.” I laughed at his answer. “Are you alright?” He asked me while carrying me up the hill. “Yes, I’m fine. You can let me go now, I can walk.”

“Is it wrong of me not to trust you on a hill?”

“Yes.”

“There they are! We were searching everywhere for you.” the assistant shouted at us.

“We are truly sorry, miss.” Vincent replied respectfully. He carried me towards my chair “Ruby Rose” and set me down.

“My blushing bride.” I frowned at his statement, and blushed even harder. “What are you talking about?” I reached for my drink and sipped it while staring at the other actors who were acting now. He laughed and ignored my question before sitting down next to me and staring into the field.
