Chapter 23 - Same class

When Raena awoke the next morning, she stretched before wiping her eyes and getting out of bed, after which she looked in the mirror and saw the herb Akaz had placed on her hand emitting a purple and green hue.

"What's the deal with this?" She inquired as she entered the bathroom and washed the herb from her hand. Her eyes widened when she saw that her hand was already healed, and she sighed in relief before proceeding to take a bath and go about her normal morning routine.

When Raena finished, she got dressed to leave for the academy, grabbed her bag and went down to the living room.

"Good morning guys," Raena said as Drakun approached her and she smiled at him.

"Good morning, sit, I will bring you breakfast," Drakun replied, then went to get her breakfast and she sat down.

"Raena, good morning, how is your hand?" Akaz asked as he entered the living room and she glanced at him before smiling.

"Good morning, my hand is healed, thank you," She responded and he sighed in relief.

"I am glad it's already healed a burn like that on a normal person would take a while," He said as she stared at him.

"Yeah, you are right about that," She replied as Drakun brought her breakfast which collected.

"Thank you," She said.

"You are welcome, eat up, you have to get going as well, today is the day you find out which class you are assigned to," He replied, and she nodded then began eating her food.

"Ah, this tastes great, thank you for the meal, Drakun," Raena said as he stared at her then smiled at her.

"You are welcome, I will always cook the best food for you guys," He replied and she nodded before finishing off her meal.

When she was finished, she grabbed her bag and Akaz patted her on the shoulder.

"I can't take you today, but he will, have a good day and I hope you enjoy your new class, it's quite an interesting one," He said.

"How do you..." She mumbled as Akaz vanished, and she jumped before turning to look at Drakun, who shrugged as the magical circle formed beneath their feet, and both of them disappeared and reappeared by the entrance of the academy, where Raena saw a large number of students began arriving, and she exhaled deeply.

"Well, I'm not sure what Akaz meant, but he sounded as if he knew which class I was being assigned to, let's hope it's a good one," Raena said, and Drakun chuckled as she looked at him.

"Do you know, Drakun?" She asked, he looked at her and then patted her on the shoulder.

"No, I don't, I'm telling the truth, but it doesn't matter what class you are in, after all, how much stronger you can get depends solely on you, good luck and have a good day lady Raena," He responded as he bowed his head and she sighed.

"Thank you, Drakun, and please refrain from using the bow and lady, bye," She said as she walked away, and he smiled before disappearing.

"Good morning, if you need to know which class you have been assigned to, please check the board in front of the auditorium and do not rush or bully others," A student by the entrance gate shouted and Raena sighed.

'I guess I'll go there,' she thought as she walked to the auditorium, but on her way there, someone bumped into her and she nearly fell, but she held her balance and looked up to see the girl who tried to pick a fight with Astrun smirking.

"Watch where you are going weirdo," She said as she walked away with her friends while laughing and Raena gnashed her teeth while clenching her fists.

"I want to hit her right now," Raena muttered.

"Raena," Someone shouted and she flinched as she turned around and saw Kyla rushing towards her and her eyes widened.

"Slow down, Kyla," She said as she grabbed the girl's hand to keep her from falling, and Kyla chuckled before wrapping her arm around Raena's neck.

"Thank you very much, and good morning; how is your hand?" Kyla inquired.

"Good morning, and my hand is fine; I could do some damage with it, but I'm going to drop this," She replied as she walked away, and Kyla chuckled before following her to the massive board, where they began searching for their names to see which class they were assigned to.

"Your name is on the top, the few there are shining," Someone said, and Raena turned around to see Asrtun standing behind her, and she smiled slightly as the other girls looked at him with shimmering eyes.

"Seems like we're in the same class, this is going to be interesting," Astrun said before leaving, and Raena sighed as she looked up at the board and saw her name, along with a few other students, in a different section.

"Seems like we are in the same class as well, Kyla, think you can find where it's located?" Raena asked and Kyla smiled brightly.

"Well, it would seem that my wish has come true and I am getting what I want so far, I am glad I am in the same class as you and yes, I can find it, come on, follow me," She responded, and Raena smiled as Kyla walked away and she followed her.

Kyla ran into someone while looking for their classroom and noticed it was an upperclassman who smiled at them.

"I am sorry," She apologized.

"Relax a bit, don't worry, it's okay, today is a busy day, if you're looking for your class, keep on following the directions," The girl said, they thanked her and then continued looking for their classroom using the directions provided by the academy's walls, which were marked so no one could get lost.

Raena and Kyla became tired after a while of looking, but they eventually arrived at their location, and Raena left, staring at where their class was located as the cold breeze brushed against her body, causing her to shiver, and Kyla tightly gripped her arm.
