"Thanks Chris but actually I'm running late as I've been here for a while now", I gave a lopsided grin and then gestured him to bring me the earrings.
"Here are your earrings. Thank you so much for dropping by and sorry for the trouble. Also this is for you..." Chris said as he passed me two jewellery boxs. One has my sponsored earrings I believe, what about the other one? But he looked very delightful as he hand those over to me. His lips curved into a lopsided smile.
"What's this Chris?" I asked. Confusion written all over my face.
"It's a small gift for you from Tiffany and Co's for your wedding. It was delivered here earlier this morning from our headquarters", he eyes were sparking when he finished, giving up a feeling almost as if he's very happy to hand it over to me.
"Thank you. That's so kind of Tiffany and Co's. But when do I need to return these?" I asked getting right into the point. We're getting late and I can't waste anymore time here.
"Next month", Chris replied.
"Okay Chris. See you. Bye bye", we left as we bid them goodbye.
"So where are we going?" I asked him as we got down to the ground floor using the escalator.
"You'll know when we get there", he replied with a mysterious smile.
We drove past our university and then he drove for another 10 minutes on the way to Woodstock road and after that he drove all the way to the porch infront of a house. A detached family home, built around the 19's. It's in a favoured residential area of North Oxford. I'm so confused about what we're doing here. But he didn't say anything. He walked all the way to my side and then opened the car's door for me. Honestly before I used to wonder what's so great about boys opening car's door for their partner. But now that he does it for me, I finally know what is so special about it. It's special because through it the guy is letting you know how special you are for him. How much he loves you. Deep down I feel like Raidan loves me but I'm not sure.
"Why are we here?" I asked him, clearly confused.
"Secret. I'll tell you but for now follow my lead", he's being weirdly mysterious.
I obeyed him without asking another question.
He walked all the way to the entrance of the house and opended the door using a key, which made me wonder how he has it. After the door opened he took my hand in his and walked inside the house. Raidan has hold my hand many times but I don't know why no matter how much time he has hold my hands but I always butterflies in my stomach everytime we have a skinship.
"Raidan it's not right to walk into a person's house without permission. And how do you have the keys? Whose house is this?" I shooted him questions.
"Easy there girl, you'll have all the answers. But at first tell me what do you think about this house? Do you like it?" he asked as he let go of my hand so I could explore the house.
"Can I look around?"
"Be my guest. You can explore each and every single part of the house and outside of course. But be sure to check out everything before the light outside dies", he said.
It was about to be evening. So the light would die in around 40 minutes. I've around 40 minutes to see the place. The inside is completely empty as I looked. As for the house, the Chase is a very well proportioned house of Georgian appearance with high ceilings, large and numerous windows and generous rooms arranged over three floors. The ground floor accommodation circulates around a magnificent entrance hall with an oak staircase and doors leading to a reception room, drawing room and a wonderful kitchen family room. The kitchen is the centre piece of the accommodation with a family snug beyond and bifolding doors leading out to a sizeable garden terrace. There is also a utility room.
The first floor enjoys four well proportioned bedrooms. The main bedroom is a fabulous space with a large sun terrace overlooking the rear garden, a dressing room and en suite bathroom. The second bedroom also has an en suite shower room, and there is a family bathroom. The top floor of the house has been converted into a large and versatile space with access to an attic for storage.
The house sits well within mature grounds with a driveway for several cars at the front, and a private enclosed garden at the rear bordered by mature trees. There are pathways on both sides of the house leading to the rear garden. The large terrace is bounded by a retaining wall with steps leading to the lawn and a decked area with a sunken hot tub. There is also an ornamental pond that has been covered by decking.
There is a double garage with a garden store room and an en suite annexe above. Overall it's a great place.
"So what do you think?" he asked, in his voice I could sense that he's a little tensed.
"It's a beautiful house", I replied, my eyes still mesmerized by the beauty of the house.
"Yeah? Well not only this house is beautiful but also this property is situated in the popular North Oxford area of this historic University town. The local centre of Summertown is within 1 mile providing a good selection of every day shopping including a Marks and Spencer Food", he informed me about all the things that I was unaware of.
Well, North Oxford is particularly popular for its proximity to a wealth of excellent local schools with St. Edward's within a mile, and Dragon Prep, Summerfields and Oxford High also in easy reach. And after what Raidan said this house seems to be a great place to live in. I wonder whose house is this. It seems like a newly built house. I mean around the 19's maybe?
"When was this built?" I asked Raidan as I suddenly become curious.
