"When was this built?" I asked Raidan as I suddenly become curious.
"Seriously that's the only question you got? Anyways it was built in 1924. But don't you wonder whose this house belong to?" he is clearly impatient. I mean I could sense it not only in his voice but also in his eyes. He clearly wanna to let me know who does this house belong to.
"Who?" I asked pretending to be curious when I was clearly just giving in to him.
"Us!" his whole face lit up when he said that and his eyes were sparkling with excitement.
"Us?" I asked him being confused.
"Yeah, it will be our home from now on. After our marriage", he clarified. Our home? Oh god why does that sound so good and these are just 2 words but it got me thinking about all the things we could be and could do together in this house. A family of our own, our kids could play in the garden. God!! I'm taking it so far.
"We'll stay here after our marriage? You don't plan on staying in the dorm?" I asked as I had initially thought that we would stay in the dorm until graduation.
"No, who would stay in the dorm after marriage and why?" he asked, and to be honest, at this moment I feel like, we're having a love marriage.
"That's true but Raidan this house is too big us. It has five bedrooms. Why do we need so many bedrooms? We're only 2 people. Also isn't it expensive? How much is the rent?" I asked all those questions nagging like a wife .
"No rent. I bought it!" he sounded proud. And hearing him my mouth fell open.
"What? How did you? Isn't it expensive?" these questions left my mouth even before I could realize. Oxford is crazily expensive. Even the rents are so high. I couldn't even imagine how much the house cost.
"I can manage. Do you like it?" God!
He sounds so manly and so much like the CEO's from the kdramas that I watch.
"I love it. But Raidan, what's the size of this house in total? I asked as this house seems pretty large to me.
"Around 4773 sq ft. Why?" he replied.
"Just asking the area is too big that's why. The interior is empty so we'll need to buy furnitures and then the wedding. It'll will cost a lot. How about we go dutch?" I know I can be pretty dumb sometimes but these are the practical things that should be think of.
"What? Why? There's no need", he refused almost instantly.
"You said it's our home right? So I should make some contribution as well. Don't you think so?"
"Yeah, well you'll choose the furnitures and just be a beautiful bride that will be your contribution to our home. Also your biggest contribution will giving birth. I can't do that. So please let me do the things I can do", he laid out all these in front of me so easily, like he's planned out everything.
"Umm.... But the expenses will be a lot on you. Also you need to learn to save. You can't spend like this. You need to think of the future".
"Are you worried about me? It's deal then in the future you'll be in charge of my wallet. You will handle it for me won't you?" he asked as his arms suddenly wrapped around me, pulling me against him into a backhug. This is the first time we're this close in both our conscience. This is the first time he's making a move on me. This is also the first backhug I'm getting. What's going on with him...?? What would he think if I don't ask him to back off?
"Won't you?" he asked again
"I will. I promise you can trust me with it", I replied, slowly and shyly.
"I know", he said as his grip got tighten around me. His both hands are linked up around my waist .This atmosphere make me think that only a kiss on the cheek now would be perfect. Too bad I can't ask for it yet. Or I can't even give him a kiss.
"We'll decorate this house together okay?" he asked, his voice as gentle as ever.
"Alright? Aren't we moving in after our wedding?" I asked curiously, but in a soft voice.
"I will be generous and let you stay with your family until they leave".
"Well thank you I guess", a soft chuckle escaped from my lips.
"Welcome, would you mind if I give you a kiss on your cheek?"
"What?"
"Nothing".
When we arrive at the inn, I saw my family hadn't returned yet. And so I had to stay alone but then Raidan offered that we should grab some coffee together. I instantly agreed, I mean who would say no if get some more time to stay with him? Well, he'd brought a lots of gifts for my family members as we'd been to the shopping mall again on our way back here. I don't know where he heard this thing from, but apparently someone told him that in our culture a son-in-law has to give gifts to their in-laws on their first meeting. I told him it was bullshit and wasn't necessary but he wouldn't listen. So, I had to budge but as he bought gifts for my family members, I also bought some gifts for his family members. We kept all the gifts inside and then we were about to leave but then I thought that, why don't we have coffee here, anyways we're alone here. And my coffee taste really good as well, I remember last time in USA, he'd really loved it.
