"Where do you stay? I can drop you off," Jonathan offered when they got to the car park.
"There would be no need for that, I will take the bus," Whitney refused. She felt that he had already done so much for her in one day, and it would be too much for her to allow him to drop her off.
Although he said he was doing it as a class representative, it did not change the fact that she would owe him for all the things he had been doing for her. Whitney felt that he had done so much already.
"Then let me drop you at the bus station, it's on the way," Jonathan said. He had expected her to reject his offer to send her home. He had been watching her and realised that she was not someone that liked to take advantage of others' kindness. He had first mentioned taking her home so that she would be unable to reject his offer to drop her off at the bus station.
