"It's a Metallica lizard," Lynch told Damien as he hovered near his ear and looked at the monster that popped out of nowhere. The Metallica lizard was six feet long with its body covered in armour that looked like it was made of pure iron and something else which made the thing glow in the dark. Its eyes were an electric blue as it stared at Damien while flicking its tongue that was fork-shaped and lifting its thick front paw before bringing it down on the ground so heavily that it shook the entire dungeon that was under the ground.
" And just how dangerous is this demonic beast?" Damien asked even though he was controlling his fear, he could still feel his legs turning lead as he stared at the thing that looked like an oversize ugly spawn of a dragon lizard and a crocodile.
"It's a level three demonic beast, its scales are pretty strong given that not every metal can pierce it but you still have an advantage over that thing," the small pixie demon told him which made Damien almost choke his neck as he wished he could make this demon change his habit of not saying everything at once. They were almost at the edge of death and he was still delaying his explanation like some old professor who was explaining a boring topic.
" Can you say everything at once?" Damien gritted out as he held the sword in his hands that was practically of no use since he was sure that this flimsy-looking sword will not be able to tear the armour of the Metallica lizard that was heading their way, even though it was heavy and its speed was lot slower than the gravershire demons, its armour that was as thick as the outer layer of a tank made it impossible for Damien to attack it thoughtlessly.
"Don't get angry master, I was just going to explain everything to you," Lynch spoke up hurriedly as he stretched out his hand and then pointed at the underbelly of the demonic beast and then said, " You can not use your shadow manipulation skill at the moment since you are only a level one user and the Metallica lizard is level three, even if you use it the shadow arrows will vanish the second it gets closer to the Metallica lizard since its armours glow in the dark because of the consumption of ores, so your best bet will be to use a bait making it distracted and then tearing open the underbelly of that beast."
Damien was not too fond of the plan that Lynch came up with but he knew that what the latter said was the right thing to do. The Metallica lizard's armour glowed like a silvery moon in the dungeon which made it impossible for him to make use of the darkness or shadows. But if he was to tear its underbelly, then it meant that he would have to get under the ugly-looking thing!
It's one stomp was enough to turn him into patty cake!
However, he still did as Lynch asked him to do, with careful concentration he summoned the corpse of the wolf that he has defeated earlier in a battle. With his mana concentrated on summoning the beast instead of using it in his defence, the snow leopard's corpse melted out of the shadows rather quickly. By now it was almost finished decomposing with half of its body covered in decomposed fur and half of its bones sticking out as it roared at the Metallica lizard that looked stumped upon the new arrival.
" Now order it, master," Lynch told Damien when the corpse of the snow leopard stayed where it was and did not move after its action-packed entrance.
" Um, so yeah can you keep that thing busy and stuff?" Damien hardly said anything as the corpse of the snow leopard roared again and rushed at the Metallica lizard, of course, the thing was not at all scared. It rushed at the corpse that was attacking it but fortunately once it was busy with the snow leopard Damien did not have to worry about anything except the stomping feet that were coming down making the earth shake under his feet.
He raised his sword and was ready to jump underneath the lizard's body when he turned to look at Lynch and asked, " Are you sure that, this sword will cut through his belly right?"
" Of course don't you trust me, master?"Lynch asked with a flutter of his wings which made Damien shake his head as he very solemnly said, " If I am honest with you, I really don't."
"That's the spirit, just go ahead and slide!" Lynch paused for a few seconds and then started nudging Damien in the head.
" Wait, what was that pause? What was with that pause just now?" Damien asked while turning his head to which Lynch rolled his eyes and said, "Do you really want to waste your time with this master? The corpse manipulation is only applicable till your mana runs out if you waste your time then you and I both will die in here."
With that Damien shut his lips up though he did not trust this pixie demon at all, he still raised his sword and while the Metallica lizard was busy with the corpse snow leopard he rushed to get close to the lizard. Once he was close enough to the attacking range, he hid behind a long pillar that was on the ground right behind a boulder waiting for the Metallica lizard's attention to be diverted away.
And just as that thing swung its heavy tail at the snow leopard's corpse, Damien rushed out of the boulder and then with quick footwork and activating the earring on his left ear, he doubled his strength before thrusting the sword's tip in the underbelly of the Metallica lizard causing it to shriek in agony as it stomped its feet in pain.
Damien coughed as clouds of dust covered his face but he continued with his momentum only stopping when he was done cutting the underbelly of the demonic beast completely.
