Chapter 3 - A bad boy.

She stared at the man back as he walked away from her. He walked through the rain, which drenched his entire outfit.

Freda exhaled slowly as she shifted her gaze to her multicolored puzzle box, while biting her lower lips.

She have no idea what his statement meant, nor does she understood why he said it to her.

Freda exhaled, her lips curving into a smile, and with that she walked away from where she had been standing.

The bridge above her head kept the rain from drenching her body, but as she walks out from under the bridge, the rain poured down heavily.

She kept walking until she arrived at her house.

Freda removed her backpack from her back and searched for her house keys, but they were nowhere to be found.

She also checked the pocket of her trouser, but there was no sign of the key.

As she tried to remember where she had left the key, she suddenly frowned because she remembered that she had left it inside her car, in the driver's seat.

She exhaled and carried her backpack, deciding that it was best if she just spent the night at a hotel because walking back to the car in that heavy rain was not something she wanted to do.

Freda made her way towards a hotel not too far from where she lived. She wiped away some raindrops on her eyeglasses. As she stepped inside the hotel building, and quickly approached the hotel receptionist who was seated behind the desk.

"I'd like to book a room; may I have the smallest room available?" She asked the receptionist.

The receptionist was dressed in a white long sleeve with a white bodycon skirt underneath. "I'm sorry, miss, but the only available rooms are king rooms." Freda was told by the receptionist.

Freda paused for a moment as she mulled over what a king room entailed. King rooms are typically 32 m2 to 50 m2 in size and it was a room with two twin beds that are mostly joined together.

Freda only required a small room that was affordable to her. She doesn't required a large bed because all she needed was a place to stay the night. "How much does it cost?" She inquired courteously.

"A thousand dollars, ma'am." The receptionist responded.

Freda looked down at her hands as she began playing with the puzzle box. "This hotel, in my opinion and observation, is a small hotel with more flexible customer choices, so employees should be good at satisfying their guests. Large hotels design their strategies to meet the needs of the majority of people. But what if my requirements differ from those of the masses?"

The receptionist's mouth slightly hung open after Freda's statement, as she stared at Freda in complete astonishment. "Did you hear what I said?" Freda inquired, and the receptionist blinked a few times.

"Umm…huh?" The receptionist mumbled.

Freda exhaled, knowing she wouldn't be able to get a room in that hotel building.

As she walked out of the building, she decided to look for another hotel because the rain was pouring heavily and didn't appeared to be stopping anytime soon.

As she entered the rain, she proceeded into another hotel but just like the previous one, there was no affordable room available.

After trying more than five different hotels, she became extremely exhausted.

Freda exhaled as she stepped her foot into a beautiful hotel building, pushing her goggles so close to her eyes.

She had checked all of the cheapest hotels in the area closer to her apartment, and the only one left was the lovely establishment that she was currently standing in.

She had already made up her mind; if she couldn't find an affordable room, she will return to her car and will most likely spend the night inside her car.

"How much does the cheapest room in this hotel cost?" She approached the receptionist, who was a man this time.

"Our most affordable hotel room is $500." The receptionist responded politely.

"Thank you very much!" She exclaimed with delight. "I've been looking for a room that fits my budget, but they're all too expensive. A hotel owner is expected to make some rooms smaller while also making them cheaper so that those in need of a hotel room can book one without worry. They should build a hotel that can accommodate everyone's needs." She continued.

The receptionist wasn't expecting the young lady to started giving hotel advice, so he just simply nodded.

"Okay…?" He shrugged and said something that sounded like a question. "The only available room is a king room."

She froze upon hearing what the receptionist had just said. "How much does it cost?" She asked.

"It's a thousand dollars."

Freda exhaled frustratingly. It appeared She'd spend the entire night in her car then.

She turned around disappointedly, and was about to leave the hotel, when suddenly her gaze fell on a man who looked somehow familiar to her.

The man wore his black hair in a topknot man bun. And he had a nice and neat undercut on his head.

A clump of hair was left at the crown and was twisted and wrapped in a circular coil around itself.

The lower part of his hair was cut while the upper part was left and parked into a manbun. His hair was wet and breathtaking. He had attractive thick natural brows and cloudy gray eyes that looked like clouds.

His gray eyes appeared blue at first glanced, but they had flecked of gold and brown, and he had beautiful long lashes above his eyes.

The young man had an upturned nose, also known as a turned up nose. The tip of the nose was angled upward, making it appeared small in Freda's eyes.

He had pink cupid bow lips, and no facial hair which made him appeared very attractive.

He appeared to be around 6.5 feet tall and was slightly muscular. Currently. He was wearing a white shirt that was slightly transparent, and because he was drenched in the rain, his well-built body could be seen.

He had a well-built sixpack and a drenched black trouser on the lower half of his body.

Freda couldn't help but gasp in admiration as she stared at him because he looked so much like a model.

She was taken in by his attractive features. His white shirt was clinging to his body, revealing his nipples. His well-defined abs were alluring and sexy, and a water drop fell on his face as his hair dripped.

Freda examined his face, and his moist lip was enticing to the eyes but not to Freda.

The young man had sexy and alluring features that Freda admired, but his appearance does not make her drool.

Young ladies passing through the hotel lobby all droll on themselves as they admired the handsome looking man.

Freda could tell he was the man she met under the bridge an hour ago just by looking at him.

She approached him slowly and stood directly in front of him, properly adjusting her goggles. "Isn't your name Jayden?" Freda questioned him to make sure she wasn't making assumptions.

Because of the lighting, she had only seen a fraction of his face while she was under the bridge.

As he looked down on her, the man fixed his gaze on her. Freda was 5.4 feet tall and was considered short by Jayden.

"Do I know you?" Jayden inquired, his voice cold, as he shows no interest in her. "Not really. I'm the lady you met under the bridge after your tragic breakup. I warned you about the dangers of heartbreak, and…"

"Ohh. Are you the lady with a disability?" Jayden inquired, interrupting Freda's statement.

He raised his head and walked away from Freda without giving her the chance to speak. "My name is Freda Rowan. And, as I previously stated, autism is considered a disability by others but not by me." Freda declared boldly to Jayden.

Freda followed the young man from behind, and when he arrived at the receptionist table, they both came to a halt. "What room do you have available?" Jayden inquired of the receptionist.

The receptionist, a young man, smiled brightly as he replied. "The king bedroom is the only one available, and it costs $1000." The receptionist answered.

Jayden nodded and reached into his pocket, expecting to find his wallet, but it was nowhere to be found.

Jayden searched his entire pocket but couldn't find his wallet. The only thing he could see was a $500 bill in his back pocket.

He pondered where he had left his wallet and remembered that they were inside Savannah's house.

Exhaling, he turned around to look for a cheaper hotel room to spend the night in. "Are you aware that when a firm combines forces, they can explore new markets, reach new consumer segments, conduct research, and develop new products?" Freda inquired unexpectedly.

Jayden's brow furrowed at her. "We can combine our money together." Freda expanded.

Exhaled, Jayden. "Are you aware that disturbing the peace, also known as breach of the peace, is a criminal offense committed when a person engaged in unruly public behavior, such as fighting or making excessively loud noise? When someone's words or actions endanger another person's right to peace and tranquility, he or she may be charged with disturbing the peace." Jayden said as he locked his gaze on Freda.

His lips form a brief smile. "You could be sued if you continue to bother me." Jayden continued, causing Freda to nod her head in agreement because she understood what his statement implied.

"I noticed you had $500 in your pocket, and the same goes to me, so why don't we combine our money together and book a king room with a double bed?"

Jayden's lips curled in delight. "Why would I do such a thing? And I'm sure you're aware of what happens when a woman and a man, or should I say a lady and a man, stay in a hotel room." He inquired, his voice deep but with a mocking tone.

"I believe there is a misunderstanding here." Freda declared quickly.

Jayden licked his pink lips, moistening them with his saliva. "I like the term misunderstood…" Jayden's voice trailed off as he pulled a pack of cigarettes from his back pocket.

He took a cigarette and placed it between his lips before leaning down to Freda's level. "I truly enjoy the term misunderstood, but I believe I am more of a bad boy." He whispered in a hypnotic tone and winked at Freda, making her froze.

Jayden turned around and excused himself from Freda's presence after removing a lighter from his pocket.
