Joanna didn't disturb me and went straight into the bathroom to get freshen up. I finally felt the peace around me, away from those clicking of cameras, fake laughs and incessant chattering.
My cheeks hurt after smiling forcefully for so long. I slowly began to slip into oblivion that I didn't hear the unlocking of the door of our room.
My eyes were still closed. I heard the clicking sound and thought Joanna came out of the bathroom.
I turned around with closed eyes and murmured against the bed.
"Jo, please help me with the zip of the dress."
Instead of light padding, I heard heavy footsteps approaching me. Why was she still wearing her sandals?
She moved my hair to one side, her fingertips brushed against the back of my neck. A shiver ran down my spine, giving me butterflies in my stomach.
What was wrong with me?
She trailed her fingers down, running them on my spine before they reached the zipper at the back of the dress and in the middle of my back.
