I was getting anxious with every moment of silence between us. Devon's eyes didn't bat even once as he stared back at me unwaveringly.
The force grew on my thumb while I scratched it without even my knowledge. And it was hard to not let the mask of indifference crack under the heat of his gaze.
I gulped and gripped the handles of the chair when he surprised me by standing up. My eyes glanced quickly to my bag to make sure the camera was placed on the right angle and that even though he was standing, it would record both his voice and image.
"Would you mind Miss Bell?" He asked, holding his office jacket.
I only shrugged my shoulders.
He was allowed to do whatever he wanted until I get what I wanted.
He removed his jacket and placed it carefully on the back of his chair. He wore a crisp white shirt that hugged his body perfectly.
My eyes involuntarily followed his every movement as he uncuffed his sleeves before he began folding them to his elbow.
