"Damn it, Jeremy! How did Devon prepare that fucking presentation? Wasn't Tamaka's farewell and election of new CEO supposed to be a surprise for everyone?" I cursed, keeping a tight smile on my face.
As soon as I exited the conference room, I saw Jeremy waiting outside for the good news of my appointment.
But when I broke uncle Victor's decision to him, he was as baffled as me.
"I don't know, sir. We got the news because of our connections. But I doubt Devon has any so far.
Maybe he was preparing for this for a long time?"
I scoffed. "If that was the case then we wouldn't have been in this situation, Jeremy. That moron would have come up with such a perfect plan that even if the Swindon's project was shut down, he would have got this position."
Jeremy turned silent, lost in his thoughts. But then I saw a face that I wanted to punch so badly.
"Wait for me in my cabin." Telling that to Jeremy, I strode to Ortiz and fell in steps with him.
